She continued to hold him, believing that he was not in fact gone despite his life seeming to have ended.

His body tremored slightly, and he began to glow a fierce golden light.

Feeling movement, she released him, remaining kneeling by his side. She shielded her eyes from the light after a moment because it was so brilliant, she could not tolerate it. She remained there, still not sure what she could do for him. "Oh David .."

He floated up and lay suspended in the air for a moment, then floatd back down to the bed. The light faded, and the semblence of death took him once more. The seconds would feel like hours as they ticked by before David finally opened his eyes.

She kept peeking to see if she could view him again. Finally she was able to look at him, just in time to see him floating above the bed for a moment. She did not know how this would turn out, so she remained kneeling by his side, lowering her head, feeling bad because she was helpless to do anything and had no knowledge to help him first.

The only thing David was ablt to do right now was blink, as his body was still stiff from death, his vocal chords ripped apart, and his mind completely locked out of fear of Davien finding him.

After a few hours, she left for a short while. When she returned, she was not alone, but she did not bring the two together. Placing Twilight in a room that would be comfortable and safe for her, she provided food and water for the young dragon, giving her time to recover.
Returning to David, she looked to him with great sorrow. She felt so guilty for not knowing how to help him better, for having left him despite his condition not seeming to change. Once returned, she looked over him again, not planning on leaving his side again until she knew he was well.

David turned his head slightly to look at Ziven. He mouthed words, but they were inaudible because his vocal chords were still torn.

Looking to him with concern, she nodded her head. "Greetings .. are you feeling better? I realize you cannot speak."

David's eyes flicked down a few times and mouthed the words, "Can you heal my vocal cords?"

She nodded her head. Carefully she placed her hands over his throat, concentrating,and worked quickly to heal his voice. "You will be sore for a few days, that much is certain .. and I have no promise that you voice will sound the same .. but you are healed, friend." she said softly, looking a bit weary now. such an intricate part of the body was not easy for her to heal.

The dragon woke up and looked around for a moment. This place was strange and new... and Twilight didn't like it. For a moment she began to panic, but after a couple of minutes calmed down. She remembered what had happened, and suddenly became very sad. She laid back down and began to think... not even noticing the food or water.

Suddenly her gaze became unfocused on David. "Excuse me for a few moments." she said softly.
Wandering down the hall to where Twilight was, she entered, looking to the dark dragon with a smile. "Greetings Little One." she said softly. "Is there anything I may do for you?"

The dragon was silent for several moment before replying. "There is nothing I require. Thank you for saving me but... I am regretting it somewhat now. What if Reevis never returns to how he was? I do no know what will become of me... and I am not sure I want to know." The thoughts came through very saddly with a dash of confusion.

Slowly she she approached her, kneeling near to her. Her gaze was down cast slightly as she somehow felt it difficult to look at her for a moment, perhaps because she knew that had their situation were reversed .. she would feel like dying also. "I believe .. I know what you mean. When I left my master, it was awful. I had nowhere, no one to turn to. So desperately lonely i thought the weight of my pain would surely crush me, put me out of my misery. Slowly .. things changed, people changed, I found a place that I could belong to if even for a day. Now here I am. If I can .. I will help you, if you want. You need only ask." she said softly. As she spoke, she felt many emotions, her eyes shown with tears but she was not crying.
