"Hmm...in fact, we should be close enough to check. Lend a voice?" He slowed to a stop, planing his feet wide so he could take a deeep breath - then Ewan roared as loud as he could so it could travel the distance. To a human earth it would have been any old roar. But to lions, everyone has their own roar, just as everyone has their own finger print.

Rahima had reached Tail-Rock, near-ish to the Pridelands, a day earlier. In the distance the much larger Priderock could be seen. But the red lioness knew Ewansiha had been searching that area and they'd meet here - so she dozed in the lovely shade of Tail-Rock. Nice to be off her paws, her belly was getting so big these days, so cubheavy...
Until she heard Ewan's roar. Another rogue far away called she didn't recognise, but she knew she was the one he was checking for. So she got to her feet and roared back.

Jina listened for the call back. Her ears perked, and her eyes closed so she'd be able to hear easier. Her red ears twitched when the roar carried on the wind. Ecstatic, she took a deep breath, and roared as loud as she could.
She smiled and looked back to Ewan. "Come on!" She called as she started to run, her black paws hitting the ground with speed as she flew towards her mother.

"Wait, it's a long way awa- oh damn!" He tried to explain they'd be running for quite a whille, but then laughed and started to run as fast as he could after his sister. Ewan knew that in maybe half an hour at this speed they'd be there! Less if -

Who was that? Rahima lifted her head higher, concentrating when another lion roared in her son's direction and at the same-ish distance as far as she could tell. Even with her pregnancy, she was still quite spry and she had rested all day...So the red female threw caution to the wind and started to head in their direction.

Jina laughed when her brother caught up. "I haven't run like this since I was a cub!" She said as she jumped a little, then ran again. She couldn't help but smile. She was with her brother, and about to meet her mother. There was nothing that could ruin her day.

Ewan chuckled as they went. When he saw the red figure, the same red as his own mane, he sped up. So he reached their mother first, swiftly getting a 'hug', resting his head on her neck as she did the same.

"Son." Having 'hugged' him, she licked his cheek. Then she turned her attention to the second figure, eager and curious. Ever since Zimran had restored her memories of her long lost daughter, she'd dreamed of them meeting. Rahima smiled and studied her, stunned.
"Jina? ...you grew up so beautiful..."

She slowed to a stop in front of her mother. She sat there speechless, her smile faded into awe. Tears started to line her cheeks. "I had so much to tell you, now I don't know what to say.."

Ewan stood to the side, letting the pair have this moment. He was proud and happy to see it.

"I know what you mean." A real tear trickled down one of the tear-like markings on Rahima's cheeks. Her daughter! Last she saw her, Jina had been so tiny, so cute...

She couldn't take it anymore!
Jina embraced her mother in a tight lion hug, burying her head into her mothers neck. "I missed you so much.." She said as she backed up to look into her mothers eyes. "Ever since dad died, I've been looking everywhere for you."

The older lioness let out a sigh of relief as she was hugged, and wrapped her forepaws around Jina. She pulled back just enough so she could return her gaze.
"I can't really remember him, but I'm so sorry to hear you lost him...so sorry I lost you so long ago!" She apologised, and hugged her child again.

She gazed into her crimson eyes, sad that she didn't remember Jina's father. "At first I doubted your love for me." She looked down to avert her gaze, "But then Ewan helped me sort everything out." She smiled over to her brother. "He told me what happened. Now I understand." Jina said as she looked back to her mother.

"I loved you, so very much - still do. I curse the day that my memories were taken from me...I never would have abandoned you." Rahima said, ernestly, wanting to make sure Jina knew she was telling the truth.
"I was horrified when I learn I'd abandoned a child of mine like that. Though I rejoiced to know I had another daughter. That I have one."

She smiled, the tears she worked up fell freely now, making her red markings seem darker. "I know that now. I love you too...mom." She avoided the name, thinking this was a dream. But seeing her, and feeling her fur against hers, her warm breath against her muzzle, Jina knew it was real. She had found her mother at last.

After a long happy moment, Rahima licked Jina's cheeks to clean away her tears, as mother's do. Fussed over her daughter as she'd yet been able to.
"Come. We have so much to talk about. There' shade not far away and you mus be hot with your beautiful dark fur."

Ewan made ready to accompany them, smiling at the scene.

She laughed lightly. "How could I say no?" She said as she started to pant a little. The heat was starting to get a little unbearable. Maybe she shouldn't have run. But oh it was worth it.

Rahima led the way on one side of Jina, Ewan falling into step on their mother's other side. They all had so much to catch up on - the two females especially. The end, for now!
