Simba stood there for a moment. This cheetah, as much as he hated to admit it, had a point. What if he was right? However, he always believed he was a lino and didn't want to change that now.
"I'm a lion, because I said so! " He said stubbornly. No doubt he was a lion. He doubted a jackal would stand up to this cheetah, whatever a jackal was! "Got it?! "

He blinked. Damn, that was like. Th most intelligent argument ever! "Nothing happens because we want it to. " Makani sighed. In his case it kind-of did often, but it was because he tried for it. It never landed on his lap.
"Fine. Obviously you won't see reason. "

He frowned, and stood, trying to look as threatening as possible(which was about a bit over what a baby bunny looked like with its barely-big teeth out. Sucked to eb a puppy!
"Say it like you mean it! "

He quirked his brows in amusement, and stood up full height. "You're a lion, but I know you're a jackal. " He said, rolling his eyes. "Don't act like you can tell me what to do, squirt. " He sneered, but was overall rather calm.
"Now I'm leaving. " He said casually with a yawn. "I need to hunt. So good bye, whats-yourface. " He said, and turned tail and walked off, carefully enough to keep his tail in movement, just in case the pup decided he wanted to try something very stupid.

For a moment, Simba was slightly afraid he'd pushed the cheetah too far, but fortunately for him, it hadn't seemed interested. He sighed slightly in relief, then puffed up as the cheetah turned tail.
"Yea! i'm a lion! And don't forget! " He shouted loudly, then turned and promptly trotted back towards home. No, he didn't need to tell mum about what had happened. He didn't even know the cheetah's name, or vice versa. He had won, anyway! to Simba, this was a win, his belief was unwavered.
