Leaning up on his elbows the sandy coloured male watched ehr for a long moment before clearing his throat and answering her questions. "Well, my mother always says theres a great spirit that watches over all cheetahs and that he has a place amongst the stars where those whom are loved can go to wander and watch over those below." His ears flickered in a slightly embarressed manner. He seemed to always quote his motehrs tales, they were so firmly wedged in to his mind though, he had heard them since he was a tiny cub.
Hearing her sigh he moved closer to her for a moment and nudged her shoulder. "gnight then." He whispers rolling back away from the dark female his head folding in to his paws. He watched the stars silently, thiose golden eyes reflecting every tiny sparkling dot.
He did, and always had beleived somehting was watching over him and his family, though he had never preyed or done any sort of religious worship he let a puurr roll over his lips, a sort of happy aggreement with the stars that they could be safe.
"Hey, I'll be awake, I can keep up with anyone." He gave one final yawn then and closed those tired eyes. "Thery don't call me strength for nothin'."

The nearness didn't bother Freya in the least, being one who commonly invaded the personal space of others in her free time, especially when she wasn't half-asleep. She nudged Afiya back lightly, smiling a bit, before curling up on her side, tail curled around her body for a bit of her own 'support', almost like someone who hugged themself or a pillow to fall asleep.
Rubbing the side of her head against the grass, flattening it into a comfortable position, she heaved a deep sigh, allowing her breathe to slow down and relax, along with her entire body. It was almost like a relaxation tape was played in her head, her entire body mellowing out with her own mental rythmn as she settled down.
She roused herself slightly to give the boy one last comment: "We'll just see about that one..." she teased tiredly, before she allowed herself to let go of her conciousness and to drift off into a nice, pleasing place of slumber.
Off into the land of the dreamers.
