Wimbo's purple eyes disappeared in a bright smile as she bathed in the praise of her sister and mother. Yay! They loved her name! She did too, and of course, Mother did, since she gave it to her. But the fact that she had a name that was all her own, and no one else's was something that she really loved.
She wriggled around for a moment, listening to the two of them. Her mind was just starting to wander when she heard the idea that her sister offered on going out. Out!
Her eyes widened now, staring, pleading at her mother. "Oh, Mommy, can I go out with Lejali, can I?" She really wanted to go out, and if she was with her sister, she was sure that she would be okay. There was nothing her sister couldn't do! Wimbo's eyes shifted from her sister to her mother, excitement making her nearly vibrate.
Life was going to be fantastic with her new name! She couldn't wait, and it was sure to keep her grounded within her life, always reminding her of her home and her family.
