Astor hovered above the house, listening to the man and woman talking. she called the wind to magnify the sound and suddenly heard a set of footsteps coming up the path to the house. A man with white hair approached, looking rather malicious. He was still a good distance off, but Astor's large, white wings would be a dead giveaway of her position. She quickly flew to the back of the house, praying he hadn't noticed her. Besides, now she could better hear the conversation inside without using her powers.

Just as Abel started to walk over the next hill, there it was. He could now see the house in the distance. Once he reached the top of the hill, he saw a flash of white fall behind the house.hm... what was that? Thay must be hiding around back. He thought to himself as he continued his approach.

Astor heard the pair insid talking about something like running and broken ribs. Then she heard it again. The footsteps. He must be getting closer-I'm not even trying to magnify anything Astor pressed up against the side of the low house, willing her wings to stay down below the window. She quickly turned her head and peeked in for a moment. They were facing her direction, but looking at each other. She looked away and saw that a moon-cast shadow was coming toward the corner of the house. She couldn't run-they would all see her. Flying away had the same drawbacks. All she could do was hope that nothing would happen to her.

"Wait." Aya said. "I thought I saw something." Carefully, she stood, wincing only very slghtly. She walked to the window, where a few white feathers stuck up over the bottom of the frame.

"What is it?" Mark asked as he stood up. "Be careful, remember people are after us." he said as he approached cautiously. Mark balled up his fist getting ready to strike if he needed to. When he say a couple white feathers, he too became very curious and he let his guard down.
Abel was now at the neighbor's house. He came to the side of the wooden house. Instead of going through the front, like he originally planned, Abel began to walk around to the back. He was curious of what dropped back there moments ago.

Aya came to the window. The few feathers were only the tip of the iceberg. Or, more appropriately, the wing. She stood, back to the wall in the same place Astor stood outside. The two carefully looked through the window, simultaneously catching sight of each other and jumping back, startled.

Astor dared another look into the house. Her eyes met the woman's and they both jumped. Oh, well. Now that they know I'm here... She just wanted to get away from those footsteps. Before she fully knew it, she had hopped into the house through the window.

As the lady jumped into the house, Mark jumped back as well. "Who are you?" he questioned intently. He didn't know anyone would be here other than them and maybe hi friend.
Abel came around the corner just as the girl entered the window.they must be inside. he said in his head. He crept his way around to the front. Standing at the front door, he pulled some shadows and made an illusion that he was a delivery man...

"I am Astor," she said. "I shouldn't have been eaves dropping, but I couldn't help but hear your conversation. I only came in because of the man."

Aya couldn't help but stare at the girl's wings. They were huge. But the last part of her statement caught Aya's attention. "Man? What man?" Just as she finished speaking, there was a knock on the front door. "Mark. You should probably get it. We can't exactly hide Astor's wings and I don't know really what to do."

The woman grabbed Astor's wrist and dragged her into the next room faster than Astor could blink. "What did the man look like? Did you see him?" The woman's violet eyes peirced Astor's blue ones, and she felt she had to answer. "He, uh, was tall--he had white hair...he was just scary. He really gave me the creeps....Shhhhh. Mark is letting the guy at the door in."
