Chu'mana looked about some, slightly looking up at the sky. The clouds above them were rolling about, having a grand ole' time. Chu'mana, on the other hand, wasn't. She was confused. Very, very confused. She wasn't sure what her feelings were. Her ears swiveled back when she heard Siltim talk... Especially to the last part that he mentioned.
"Sssiltim..", she whispered again, her yellow eyes taking one last look at the clouds above, and then turning back to the lime green eyes of her green friend. "Sssiltim.. I think... I think there is sssomething that I need to tell you. Maybe you already feel it.. But it'ss bugging me. I don't feel complete without sssaying it to you.. Jusst ssssoo you know."
Her injured paw reached out to him, slight tears building up in her yellow eyes. Did she want to do this? Was she ready? Was he ready? She wouldn't know until she tried.
"Sssiltim... I.. I love you. More than anybody.. Or anything. You.. You make me feel like I'm actually a lion, insstead of sssome worthlessss creature who ssslinksss about the earth. You make me feel sssoo young again... And no one hass done that for a long time. I don't want to ever leave you.. Or you to leave me." She paused for a second, making sure that she had said everything she needed to. It wouldn't be good if she had left something out.
"I love you, Sssiltim. I really, really do."

As Chu'mana began to talk, Siltim gave her his full attention. He watched her carefully, making sure she wasn't in any more pain or incase something else happened. His ears perked up as she said she needed to tell him something. As her eyes started to water, he felt his stomach drop. Oh no, she was going to leave him and go back to where she came from. He just knew it had to be something bad, especially if she was getting teary over it.
But, her next words completely shocked him. His lime eyes widen in surprise as he was speechless, to say the least. She loved him?! Wow, thats not something he would have expected, but he can feel assured that she wasn't going to leave him. His mind was still taking in her words as he tried to figure out where to start.
A smile grew on his features as he touched her cheek gently. He'd have to thank his mother one of these days. "I don't know where to start!" He chuckled softly, "I couldn't help but question these strange feelings in my stomach when I was with you or the racing of my heart, but I know why now. I feel the same way, Chu'mana. I love being with you because I can be myself, my silly self and you could care less. You had me worried for a second, because I thought you were going to tell me that you wanted to leave, but this is much, much better." He nodded happily, with a bright smile on his face, "I would never leave you, Chumana because I love you."

Chu'mana, so overjoyed and just plain out happy with what was happening right now, began to tear up even more. It wasn't a sad or confused kind of tearing up though. It was the kind of tearing up that happened when someone was so happy... That they had no other way than to cry it out. That, exactly, was how this lonely limegreen lioness felt at the very moment.
"Siltim..."
For once, she did not hiss, but nor did she realize it. Quickly forgetting about her injury, she nuzzled Siltim's furry cheek, her tears staining his green coat, but in a good way.
"I never thought I'd hear thossse wordss from you. I never thought I'd hear them from anyone. You though.. You sshowed me what it'sss like to love.. And to feel loved. You sshowed me the light in the darknessss... I love you Ssiltim... Alwaysss and ssurely forever."

As Chu'mana was so overly joyed, Siltim couldn't help but let that smile grow on his facial features. There would be no way that he'd be able to wipe it off his face even if he wanted to. This was one of those times where it didn't matter, the only thing that mattered was the green lioness right in front of him. As she nuzzled and cried into his mane, he leaned his body against her to bring her closer to him. It was so nice to feel her warmth, and he wanted to stay like this forever.
He let the silence surround them as he just took in the time to be with Chu'mana. He pulled back his head before he went to lick her cheek affectionately, "I think I was attracted to you when I first met you...you and your lovely shade of green," He paused before looking at her, "I'm very glad to have had such an impact on you because you've certainly had one on me. And let me tell you, Chu'mana, my heart is entirely your's."

The green lioness smiled back, her eyes still teary, but the sound of laughter erasing any thought of her being sad. Her paw was in pain once more, but this was more important to her, and she wasn't going to let a little pain interrupt this joyous moment for the two of them.
"Thank you... Siltim.. Thank you.. For accepting me for who I am. You and only you... Unless you want to count your kooky ole' mother." She snickered a bit, licking Siltim's furry cheek, her yellow eyes dancing. "Are you sure though that it wasn't just my green pelt that captured you?"

Laughing softly, Siltim couldn't help but agree with Chu'mana. His mother was quite the character, but then again, she gave life a certain spice and made it all the more interesting. Plus, if she wasn't what she was, then he'd definitely not be like who he was now. His lime eyes looked down at her paw, not wanting her to hurt it anymore as he knew she had moved a bit. But, he didn't want to seem like a doting mother either.
He gave her a cheeky grin as he replied, "You're very welcome, Chu'mana." He paused, "Though, unless you want to include your accent, your eyes, your personality...I could go on and on." He teased her lightly as he felt the day just get a whole lot brigher and cheerier. He went to nuzzle her again, quite liking this new feeling of closeness with her. This was something totally different and he was relishing the sensation. "My mother was beginning to wonder if I'd ever find a mate, but these kinds of things take time, you can't rush into something like this. And I'm very glad I did take my time since I have you with me!"

"You jussst like me as a whole, don't you? I don't really sssee why.. But I'll agree with you. I mean... After all.. Who could like thisss awful hissssing of mine? It's dissgussting."
The lime green lioness just sort of looked away for a second, feeling hurt by her own words and the harsh memories of her past. However, she knew that was all over and done with now, and that it couldn't hurt her anymore. Even if her horrid hissing and wretched green pelt passed down on to her own children, she wouldn't mind so much anymore. With the findings of Siltim and his green family, Chu'mana didn't feel alone in the world anymore. She knew that there were others out that a little like her, and that she wasn't a complete freak.
Looking back to her beloved, she nuzzled him some more, staying quiet now. She was lost in thought and memory, as well as the possibilities of the not-so-far-off future. For once, life was starting to really brighten up for this past-stricken lioness.

That was a good way to put it, Siltim thought. He nodded to Chu'mana, "Yup!" At her comment, he just shook his head. He knew it'd be a while before she'd come to accept some things about her, but in his eyes, she was perfect...hissing and all! As she became quiet, he didn't want to break the silence since it was nice. He nuzzled her gently as he just made sure that she was close to him and comfortable as well. His tail flicked every now and then as the day just went on by as he spent his time with Chu'mana. Content with how things had turned out afterall.
