Saint Ann's: What Came First-- As a guild this flopped, probably my own fault though so lets try it again with a smaller base. == Somewhere out in the middle of who knows where on the side of a mountain at the edge of a massive mountain range sits Saint Ann's mental institution. The building is timeless, it's style mixes perfectly between Victorian and modernistic as well as bits of everything between. To the inhabitants of the area the building is eight stories of terror, only the craziest of them live inside the labyrinth of a structure. This incarnation of the idea is based shortly after people started arriving, the population is at most a few hundred but probably not even three digits, if it ends up a thread RP most of them will be peripheral characters. The inmates forsaken to Saint Ann's come from no specific era and some come from worlds that outright contradict each other. They retained all memories of the world they came from but anything pertaining to how they got here before they stepped through the door is highly fragmented at best. Common fragments are of sterile white rooms with cold metal floors. The only thing that really ties any of them together is that none are generic boring ordinary humans, some aren't even humans.
Black Squad
(image copyright Tsutomu Nehei - Biomega)
No one saw any of Black Squad come in through the doors but there are plenty of them, best explanation is there were here first. An army of highly trained soldiers in black armor and identical masks, they hold a small set of highly unified abilities covering a wide range, each one has one ability and these abilities sort them into a handful of groups. They are armed in a wide and varied range of weaponry, though there seems to be no logic behind their armaments they are very proficient in them. They fight with out fear or any other emotion, assaulting with a clean precision any military commander would sell his soul for.
They are lead by a creature known only as Tensile, a faceless puppet made of threads whose skill, power, and ruthlessness is even more feared than that of her soldiers. Because of her bodies composition most attacks on her are pointless, the threads simply coil back together to seal any cut, or let out and remake any lost limbs in a matter of moments. Though she does light ablaze she does not burn, the fire only increasing the collateral damage. Her only weakness is a set of infinitesimally small threads leading back to the institution; They are very hard to cut and attempting it immediately draws her wrath down on you but cutting them is the only way to inflict any real damage on her, if all are cut her body collapses into a heap of inert thread, but she will be back the next time Black Squad attacks.
Most of the time when they attack they take people into the building with them as they leave, rarely do any of these people return and even rarer are they alive when they do return. There is no visible logic behind the kidnappings. The farthest anyone has chased them to rescue a hostage is to the boarder of the dark zone, and area of the building from the third to the seventh floor that seems to consume light from all sources, entering the dark zone is generally thought to be suicide, the few that returned faired no better than the mutilated bodies of those who made it back with out their lives after being taken by Black Squad.

Scatter-Born
I intend for this to be a one on one RP.
The entirety of this was inspired by a play list consisting exclusively of Everclear songs, most notably:
Portland Rain Strawberry Clean Nehalem Queen of the Air Your Arizona Room Song from an American Movie, Pt. 1 The New Disease Everything to Everyone Summerland So Much for the Afterglow Slide
==
Ben Galace had all but given up on life, he drifts through his job on autopilot, doesn't hang out with friends much anymore, he's even lost interest in TV; His only real hobby is building models of antique cars. Ben's childhood was a fuss, he didn't learn until he was sixteen that he had been raised by his aunt and uncle, it took him three years to get them to tell him the truth about why. When he was three his mom threw herself off a bridge; She had always been a troubled person and most of the family didn't think she could pull off being a single mother, truth was if it weren't for Ben she probably wouldn't have made it those three years. Growing up he had lots of problems fitting in, never really interested in the games or sports, usually a bit ahead of everybody else but he lacked ambition, slowly sinking to the bottom even though he was one of the most able students.
After graduation he moved a lot for a while, held many jobs for the first few years but settled down in a quaint little hell hole in Washington, not to far from Seattle. It had sprung up suddenly, nobody has really justified it yet but in it's short time it surged to a few million inhabitants, then sunk down to just under one; Now it's just fizzling into despair, taking everyone who hasn't left with it < I actually have this whole idea worked out MOSTLY, but writing it down takes more time>

Elvia 13
I had this idea as a dream last night, it was a weird dream but this sounds like a fun RP; Unfortunately it would be R rated so I'll have to find somewhere else to host it.
Ten thousand years in the future man kind has somehow not managed to put itself into extinction. Through the numerous wars fought in that time earth and all the other inhabitable places in our home system have become deadly, radiation, bioweapons, mars was reduced to little more than a debris field. Humanity moved out and now the only purpose of the system is as a tourist spot.
It wasn't a major move, extra stellar settlements were well established; Only a few of them shared space with alien races but over time things spread out and now it's a fairly even mix of Human, Ieatris, and Nerin just about anywhere you go.
The Nerin hold a vast and decaying empire of trade spanning more than triple the space of ether Human or Ieatris domain. Their technology is adequate and they don't put much effort into improving things that work. Nerin are descendants of lizards, still very scaly and cold blooded but physically they aren't too impressive, almost like modified humans with the exception of having three fingers plus the thumb, and an extra arm segment, they also don't have a nose. On average they're six feet tall, 120 pounds.
The Ieatris are very spiritual and hold personal freedoms in the highest regard. Like humans they grew from mammals, though similar their heritage leans more from felines. Now days most of them stand about 5'1 with a weight often under a hundred pounds.
On to the story.
Elvia is a binary system consisting of exactly one planet of the same name with exactly one moon. This system is at the farthest edge of colonized space, almost by default making it a crime infested hell hole. The few police that still do their job have their hands full, and with the limits of the law there isn't much they can do to make a lasting impact. That's where division 13 comes in, by all records they do not exist, and really they don't; Devision 13 is in fact a group of mercenaries that work only for the law, doing the things cops can't in ways that would send most people to jail.
The team consists of a wide range of people, most of which have never seen each other, the active members are less than ten.
We'll start out with three
Allen Caosat - Human - Ex Cop - 31 Gina Caosat - Human - Physician - 26 Beoka Wyle - Ieatris - Career Criminal - 27
Allen is a tall guy, maybe six four , amber buzz cut hair and in great shape The sister is similar but she has darker hair down to her shoulders that she keeps up most of the time, slightly shorter. she also has a thing for hats.
Beoka was my part in the dream, she's Ieatris, light tan fur that's scarce around her face and hands. The hair on her head is a darker tan and cut into a bell style reaching half way down the side of her head. Even for an Ieatris her height of 4'5 is short, making people often mistake her for a child, even though she's 24. With a knack for acting and naturally endowed with great dexterity she's all you could hope to find in a thief or scam artist.
Random major plot object; the natural lifespan of the average Ieatris is over 80 years, 92% of Ieatris die before 35. The reason for this? There is a very common illness caused by a genetic defect that usually becomes active between the ages of 25 and 30. Within two to five years of this defect becoming active the subject will be dead or comatose with no hope of recovery. The defect specifically attacks the brain stem, eating it's way up into the rest over time.
Symptoms start out as a light headache that never goes away, over time it grows worse but stays negligible until the final phases. After a few months the patient will begin to experience impaired motor skills and/or sensory acuity; Near the end of this phase the patient may experience intermittent inability to move certain limbs, blindness or deafness, or loss of the other senses; These symptoms normally do not become permanent until the fourth phase. The third phase is marked by sudden fainting, hallucinations, and insomnia. The fourth phase is the worst, the immune system collapses and the symptoms of the previous phases increase many times over, generally this will last a month; Tradition dictates that the family of the patient takes them to the land of their ancestors and gives them as pleasant of a death as possible, in the years before medical understanding this was done with poison but now days it is done by stopping the heart electrically.
Should the patient still be alive for the fifth phase they will be mostly at peace. Phase five marks the point where the defect has severed all the motor and sensory neurons, disconnecting the patient from their body and the world around them, soon into the phase brain activity ceases on it's own.
This condition is an extremely private matter, taboo to speak of to other Ieatris outside your family, an outcasting action to speak of it with members of other races. This condition has effected the Ieatris people for literally their entire existence, there are treatments but a cure or vaccine has yet to be found.
Beoka is in late phase 2.
Her parents fell to the condition when she was a child, she was to young to understand why but they had separated themselves from the Ieatris civilization and moved to this remote place; In respect to them she stayed, taking it has her new homeland. She found that no ordinary job could hold her interest, and she wasn't very good at most of them; As many had done before her she took to crime, a little at first but more and more, as much as she could with out showing up on any radars, thats what she thought anyways.
Then Beoka met Allen, and her heart was caught (not that he'd ever notice). In her eyes he was the single most beautiful man ever, and it didn't hurt that he saved her a** at the same time.
Allen can be a bit thick but he knows what's right and what's wrong, and how to handle a gun. His parents both worked for the force and he went in their footsteps, but the force was very corrupt and underpowered. He never learned what really happened but a few years into his service both parents were killed on duty, regardless of what the report said it was obvious they got killed because they wouldn't give up their values for some extra money. Soon he left the force and started Division 13 with his sister Gina.
Gina is almost like a clone of Allen, except that she is smarter, she went into medicine and now runs her own practice, a large portion of her work is fixing up members of 13. Gina was just as outraged by their parents death and was actually the one to suggest their new operations. Allen is a fine buddy to have in a fight but in a battle you want Gina to lead you, a natural at tactics and stratagy
I aught'a have more to say about those two.
Gina's practice should have two underlings, both of which help with 13. Allen should have a friend who still works for the force, the guy they get their jobs through, and a friend who runs a bar. Beoka is probably involved with the children of her neighborhood but doesn't have many close friends, the bar dude is one of them.
Gina knows about Beoka's condition, she's her doctor there was no avoiding it, but Gina understands the views on it and respects her right to keep it private.
Actually this might almost be enough to start, wow.
Oh right, plot.
Division 13 has been very effective, making major and brutal strikes against important people, leading to the demise of more than a few crime groups. The more powerful of these groups are not fond of them, that old saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" does not apply here, they want 13 dead and gone but everybody they've so far thrown at them has come back in a box. So they've resorted to the thing they least wanted to do. They called the single most dangerous person money can buy.
He is not a man you ever want to be in the same solar system with, I have few details but he's the kind of man that would shoot you for wearing ugly shoes. He is skilled in ways and amounts that no person ever should be, and a general sociopath. Bad s**t happens when he is around, and there tends to be a lot of collateral damage, but the job gets done. He likes to be weird and scare people, not outright kill them, a true fan of torture. More on this later.

Castle in the Mist Still moving stuff over
Basic Concept Theres this Castle floating in a white mist, it's huge with hundreds if not thousands of rooms. You are here, somewhere abouts anyway. Other than that you are somewhere you don't know anything, who you are, why you're there, some of this will become clear over time.
There are other people and other beings though you wake up alone. With both the other people and the beings not all are to be trusted, some can be downright deadly.
The only thing you or any other humans you may meet have to start with is a single item, it can be many things but normal is not one of them, you will find they give you powers, over time these will become very important.
Outfit Everybody starts out with the same outfit, three pieces, a pair of gray pants, a gray button up shirt, and a heavy white teeshirt with your name monogrammed on the breast pocket, as well as the appropriate underwear but that shouldn't even matter. the pants and shirt are the same fabric, it's warm but not thick, and feels pretty weak, like if you ran hard enough the seams would snap. The shirt is without pockets but the pants have a single pair
