As soon as Dismay heard the depreciative tone, she instantly slunk and forgot all about her annoyance of a brother, who had apparently left the dangerous situation behind as well. She took no more notice to the siblings, and instead followed her mother in all seriousness, and her shamed walk soon turned into a concentrated march.
Her ears were positioned straight up, alert for everything else her mother instructed or said. She was dependent on her, if only for the time being... After all, how could she have taken to pure freedom without guidance so early on after being released from the trap she had been born into? Her inner potential was bubbling, eager to learn the timeless evil ways of the kalona from her birth parent. And ready for the lessons she was.

Dia snorted, attempting to clear her nostrils of the foul odor. They had finally reached the stream, and not a moment too soon, in her opinion.
Motioning her head, hot pink hooves stepped gingerly into the water, and she beckoned the foals to do the same. It was going to be obnoxious, having to teach them how to do EVERY little thing, but hopefully they'll be as bright as she was and catch on quickly. If not, they'd get left behind. It was as simple as that.
Rolling her eyes at the slowness of the trio, one wing dipped into the water and drew across her own back, the cold water soothing to her tense muscles.
How these foals would compare against their older siblings, only time would tell, and Dia intended to hurry up time as quickly as she could. From what it looked like, however, it was going to be a horrifically long and drawn out process, at the rate it was currently going.
Shaking her head, she sighed. Oh, the things one did for revenge.
