The young man shrugged, "I'll try not to this time." He wouldn't promise anything for sure, since Scyeth was quite unpredictable like a storm. He was also conscious of the slight pain radiating from his ankle, which was now becoming more and more obvious. Surprised even himself, More could not help but to give some strange looks at his feet. This was yet another discovery in which he must make notice to Doctor Manneth...
More looked up at Scyeth and smiled. "I'm ready to try again..."

Inner Scyeth cackled. The more More would smile and continue on, the more Scyeth wanted to wreck him. He wasn't sure why. Maybe it was just to prove that he could. Maybe More's seeming invincibility got under Scy's skin. Maybe his cool, calm collected way frustrated Scyeth to no end. Well, it was probably all those. More was challenging him and the blond simply couldn't stand that. No one challenged him (save his father, and Scyeth detested his father).
Scyeth stretched a little, giving More a defiant look. Just fight back, damnit! Scyeth could tolerate (and probably like) More if he just pushed back.
"Get up, then. I'll give you another push."

For some reason, More loved the way Scyeth looked back at him. He could already tell there's some kind of interactions going on between him and the boy...even if it's bad! The young man gave Scyeth an even warmer smile as a reply to his stare, almost with a teasing intension. He then proceeded to get himself back onto the skateboard, feeling it had become easier for him already now that he had a little experience. His feet were steady and controlling, his back remained bent over so to shift the center of gravity...he'd be prepared this time.
"Alright." More looked back at Scyeth, focusing so that he would not be surprised by any of his sudden movements like last time.

"Would you stop smiling?" Scyeth scowled, shaking his head. Maybe it wasn't the smiling. Wait. Wait! Was More teasing him? Scyeth's scowl flipped into a wicked grin. More was teasing him! Thank gods someone had some sense of humor around here! He chuckled and shook his head. "That will do, I suppose," he murmured, more to himself than to More. It was really nice to have something that could banter back. Well, this was assuming this wasn't going to be a one-time deal. However, Scyeth was prepared to hound More in the case in disappeared. He wasn't one to give up easily.
"Here we go!" he shouted, malice drained. He gave More a good push, no less hard than the first time, but at least the other blond was ready this time. "Put your arms out to balance!"

Was that boy actually annoyed by his smiles? More felt both amused and (much to his own surprise) happy about it. He was tempted to reply to Scyeth's comments by shoving him another smile, but decided to hold it off as he needed the attention on the skateboard at the moment. The boy was fun to be with, to say the least. Of course, the young man had missed the other's grin as he turned just in time. Feeling that he was more prepared this time, More braced himself fully as Scyeth gave another push, lounging him forward along with the skateboard---with the board traveling at a much faster speed than his own body. More had heard what the boy said, and did follow his instructions by putting out his arms wide, trying to balance himself. It wasn't something he had gotten quite used to, but the young man did manage to not fall off from the board this time, and remained his position until the board eventually stopped, exhausting the momentum that the push had exerted upon.
When the skateboard finally came to a stop, More stepped off and looked in Scyeth's direction.
"I guess it's not too bad this time?"

Scyeth observed quietly, not offering any more advice. More would never learn if Scyeth told him what to do. He could only learn through experience, well, mistakes. Mistakes were the best teacher, of this Scyeth was quite sure. Huh. Well, More seemed to do alright after all. The blond could only conclude the other student was a fast learned, correcting things that lead him to his mishap the first time. (Not that Scy had anything to do with that, or anything.) He walked over to where More had finally and leaned over to grab his skateboard. He inspected her carefully before giving More any sort of evaluation.
"Not bad, I suppose," he said with a shrug. He would have been impressed if More could actually stop on his own, but hey, Scyeth wasn't expecting any miracle. "I guess that means you can balance. Do you want to stop now? Or do you want to learn how to stop?" Stopping was important, especially if Scyeth was skulking around.

Learn how to stop? He stopped didn't he? Or was that not the way to stop? More looked at Scyeth with mild curiosity. He was, of course, not willing to stop learning. He smiled (as usual), "why, thank you. And I'd love to keep learning if you are willing to continue teaching." He shrugged, putting hands in his pockets. "I'm interested to see the 'right way' to stop, if you are willing to demonstrate."

Scyeth was mildly amused (at least until More smiled -that was so annoying!- and even then, he couldn't shake the generally pleasant feeling) and couldn't help but agree. Why not? It's not like he stood to lose something. Maybe he was even cultivating a fellow boarder (Hahaha. He could dream.) to hang around with. Somehow, Scyeth doubted his roommate and said roommate's brother were 'hanging' material. They were raised some entirely different way, Scyeth was sure. (Maybe there parents actually cared if they got in trouble. Punishments. Eugh.) Scyeth shivered at the thought. He was rather undisciplined and really rather lucky for that.
"Yeah, sure thing." When wasn't Scyeth willing to demonstrate anything on any kind of board?" He put his board down and stepped on. He pushed forward and let himself glide a few feet before putting a foot down to stop. (He actually put his foot down a few times, like a plan hits the ground with its landing gear more than once before actually landing.) He looked at More and pushed the board over. "See? Just be careful not to put your foot down and hold it. You might end up scraping your face across the ground."

More shrugged a little and nodded. It didn't look very difficult. Without further sayings the young man stepped onto the board, much easier this time, and positioned himself to keep balance. There he waited a little, and turned to Scyeth.
"Will you give me a push again, or will you teach me how to start by myself first?"
Perhaps to the other boy the question sounded silly, but More didn't want to experience himself, especially not with someone else's property (and something the other kid loved dearly).

Scyeth couldn't help it. He could feel it coming on and did all he could to hide it. And oh, did he struggle though. He would not, would not, he just couldn't...and then, gods above, he did. His lips twitched and there was some sort of painful facial spasm and then Scyeth smiled. It was a real smile, not one of those malicious, toothy smiles or s**t-eating grins. It was a genuine, relatively happy smile. "I can give you a push." Okay, maybe not happy. Just amused. (It's closed enough, can't get greedy now, can we?)
Scyeth gave More another good shove. He could only hope the other blond would remember what he said. It would be a shame (though so entirely hilarious) if More wiped his face off on the asphalt...and Scyeth might be in trouble, too.
"Now stop!"

More felt excitement creeping up as the other boy smiled. A genuine smile, especially. He had no chance to smile back, however, as his attention was immediately shifted to what was underneath his feet, when Scyeth set the skateboard in motion. The young man waited a little, adjusting himself on the moving board. He was beginning to like this sport (if it could be considered one). He had no doubt about the thrill it could potentially bring, if played right. No wonder the other boy was so into it.
Scyeth shouted out a command earlier than More had expected. He immediately proceeded to obey, and pushed one of his foot away from the skateboard to teach the ground. To Scyeth's warning he had made sure not to put his foot down too long or too hard. He could feel the momentum pulling against the foot's hold. More lifted it up, surprisingly finding himself balancing pretty well with only one foot rooted on the skateboard. The young man repeated the motion a few more times, feeling the board slowing down and eventually came to a stop. And when it did the young man stepped off completely and looked back. He had slided a good distance from where he had started. Perhaps he had spent too much time on stopping? More looked at Scyeth expectantly, waiting for his evaluation.

As soon as the smile crossed Scy's lips, the rare beacon was gone in a flash. There probably wouldn't be another one for at least a year. Smiling made Scy's face hurt; it wasn't something Scy saw the point in anyways. He really preferred expressing himself through words. He could control those (even if he kind of failed to).
Huh. More wasn't really bad on a skateboard. Well, he was a good listener, anyways. He walked after the boy, nodding his approval. "That was pretty good. Not excellent, but good for a first time." Couldn't over-do it, now. "Should practice more. Y'd need your own skateboard, though." There was no way Scyeth would be lending his precious board out. No way. Even if More was a...decent beginner. Just, no. "Bet you could probably get one at the mall, or something." He shrugged. They'd probably be expensive, though.
Whatever. He leaned over to collect his checkered board. "Well, it was fun. See you later, sometime?"

The young man smiled initially at Scyeth's words. His smile faded a little, however, when he mentioned the need for a skateboard. It took him some time to think, and when he finally recalled that there was a mall at the school, the young man's smile came back again as he made a mental note to visit the mall area sometimes. They might not have the skateboard he needed, but it would be a new place to walk around in and perhaps meet new people.
New people like the boy in front of himself. More had an urge to make Scyeth stay longer, but figured he must be busy (either that or he absolutely wanted to get away from More, which was something the young man considered less of). He nodded, and gave Scyeth a bright and sincere smile. "Thank you very much. It's been a pleasure of meeting you, Scyeth. Perhaps, if I really do find myself a skateboard, we can skate together?" The word came out gentle, but there was a hint of challenge in the tone. More had no doubt the boy would be sensitive to it.

Scyeth snorted and tossed his head. "Well, duh," he said, snickering. "I wouldn't have wasted my time teaching you to skate if I didn't want to skate with you later." He stuck out his tongue. Jeez. It wasn't like he just handed out free lessons. "You owe me, though." He wasn't sure what, yet. A free meal at the mall would probably satisfy him, though. It was just a short lesson. Yeah. A free meal at the burger joint would do just fine. He tucked his hands into his pockets.
"So. You can probably come visit me if you want. I can give you more lessons if you want." Scyeth was always happy to skateboard. ALWAYS. It was so much better than studying. "I live with RuiZhi. Oh, and if a cat runs out, you're at the right dorm." He set his skateboard down and put a foot on it. "See you later, dude." He offered a wave before pushing himself off, rolling down the hall in the direction he had come.
