this from way back in season 1 when richard was in the hospital:
EMILY: So what exactly is going on between the two of you?
LUKE: Nothing. Really. We’re friends, that’s it.
EMILY: You’re idiots, the both of you.
i love it just cuz it shows that emily thinks they should be together...of course, now she hates luke and thinks he is horrible for lorelai and i hate her for it, but at least she agreed with them as a couple for one episode...

RORY: That's Dean!
LORELAI: Hey, come here. Have an amazing time.
(Rory kisses Lorelai and Emily and then Rory runs for the door.)
RORY: I'll chronicle the whole evening for you, I promise. Bye, Grandma.
EMILY: Where are you going?
RORY: To the dance.
EMILY: You do not go running out the door when a boy honks.
LORELAI: Mom, it's fine.
EMILY: It certainly is not fine. This is not a drive through. She's not fried chicken.

And you won him over all the other women he was bedding, and I congradulate you on that. And don't think he doesn't still play around, it's evident on how your weight fluctuates evry month. But those kids are staying together.

The line that really sticks out for me is
"Your sarcasm is not appreciated, young lady!"
(I think it went something like that. Rory said "Have fun" to Emily when she, Richard, Lorelai, and Lorelai's grandma had to go to dinner at the Inn).

one of my favorites was when, she was having rory's 21 b - day party
and she was like....

it was just her attiude nad the way she sadi it that made it funny

When they were talking about some guys wife at friday night dinner EMILY: She had a car just like barbie (in a very high pich voice might I add)Or in the episode "Reigning Lorelai" SOOKIE: I'm so sorry, Emily. EMILY: About what? SOOKIE: Well, about Richard's mother dying. EMILY: Are you? Huh. Would you like a cigarette? Or: EMILY: How the hell do I know? (In response to Lorelai asking where Richard was)
