Full of energy after her lunch break, Sam bounded into the History of Magic Classroom, only to find that it was empty. After dropping her books onto a desk off to the side of the room, she started wandering around, looking at all of the old things.

Raina wandered into the room with a large stack of books floating before her. She dropped the books down onto her desk, before she noticed that Sam had beaten her to CLass. "Hello Ms Scott. Did you have a nice lunch?" she asked kindly as she divided up the pile of books.

"As Always" Sam said, turning to face raina, and returning to her desk, where she sat down for class.

"Good" Said Raina Smiling fondly at the young lady. "I'm not sure we'll be getting anyone else, so lets begin" she said, and flicking her wand, opened Sam's text book to about midway, to a page that said 1300s Witch Persecution "As you can tell by this chapter, we are going to study Early Muggle reactions to Witches." She said calmly and then took a small pause before continuing. "Back in the early 1300s, Muggles began to notice strange things, they attributed these strange things as Demons or signs of posession or the devil. Be cause of this, they feared these happenings and would Burn the offenders. ........ Well as you and I both know, these happenings as they were, were nothing more than Witches (and wizards) practicing magic" she said smiling, and then she nearly laughed "and burning a witch doesn't do a bloody thing to them, as long as they are a well practiced witch." she kept smiling and then looked up at Sam, "there was one witch who was burned 47 times by wearing different disguises" she did laugh, softly then "her name was Wendelin the Weird, Perhaps you can tell me how she survived being burned" she asked Sam.

"Well done Ms. Scott, 5 points for Gryffindor" she said smiling. " she did indeed use a freezing charm,.... It is said that she believed it tickled to be in the fire, so she would purposely disguise herself as a different muggle, and get caught practicing witchcraft, just so that they would burn her at the stake, and then she would freeze the flames and enjoy the sensations before apparating out of the situation, to live to try it another day."

She walked into the classroom on Wednesday afternoon, and as seh entered the room, she waved her wand to illuminated the sconces before setting her book down on the desk and moving from desk to desk straightening up the chairs.

Sam skipped into the classroom, caught herself from falling again, and dropped her bag down in one of the chairs that Raina had already fixed. "Ello Professor" she said as she rumaged through her bag, looking for a quill and the right book for this class.

"Well Hello Miss Scott, you sure are chipper this afternoon, that excited about History of Magic Class huh?" she asked with a laughing smile on her face as the young girl bounced into class.

"Uhhhhhhh" Sam said as she looked around for an appropriate answer, She wasn't particularly excited about class, but she didn't want to upset the teacher. "Uh, sure" she finished, giving the teacher a faint smile as she ploped down in her seat.

Zak and Zeke ran into the class room full of energy and ready for anything.
"Heya Sam" they said in unison as they saw her standing there. and gave her a quick smile and wave.
then zeke turned to Raina "Hello Professor Black, we aren't late are we?" he asked. he liked to full around as much as his twin did, but he didnt' like to lose points, especially for tardiness.

"Ah boys, I'm glad to see you made it back this year" she said, changing the subject so that sam wouldn't feel uncomfortable at all.

Claira walked into the classroom as if she was floating on air, and managed to stick her already high nose, even farther into the air as she walked past the twins to take her seat towards the front of the class.
