Abel managed to fly the helicopter to the tower that he recognized as a rebuilt Tau complex. Great this won't be as easy as it was the first time around. He had planned to ram the copter into the building but suddenly the controls locked up. A count down began and Abel did not need to be told what that meant. The thing was about to blow. Apparently the tower had activated it. He had forgotten some sort of security code most likely. Abel had only one option, and that was to jump. He would survive, but the problem was that this now changed his plans. Opening the pilots door he prepared himself and jumped. hoping to hell he managed to break something belonging to Goldwind on the way down.

"HEADS UP, BODY FALLING FROM THE SKY!"

Erica, who almost had one of the group she was stalking almost in her grasp, was thoroughly dissapointed at the results of the new falling human.

She looked up at the scream, then hurled her body backwards, away from the falling man. She twitched, slipped and fell. Her ankle twisted, and she snapped out of her frenzy, now weak, and feverish. Her vermillion eyes struggled to focus on the situation around them, with her body screaming for blood and her mind exausted. All she really needed was blood, but as the situation lay, it wasn't coming very soon.

As Abel was about to hit the ground he caught a glimpse of someone he recognized from before. He was pretty sure that the person was Erica, the chick that Khane had been with. Unfortunately he did not have time to wave as the ground was coming in fast and he needed to turn on his inertial dampeners. He managed to, but considering that they were meant for much shorter distances it did not stop him from landing with a sickening thud and leaving a crater. Nothing in him was broken but there were definately going to be some bruised organs, and muscles. Groaning he pulled himself up to his feet. His internal diagnostics checking over his systems and slowly beginning work on easing the pain. He looked around and noticed Erica on the ground, apparently having been standing where he would have landed.

"You're Erica right? Good, I was hoping to find someone that could explain what happened. I've come to the conclusion that Khane was captured am I right?"

He paid no attention to the fact that she was injured, if he could get some information from her then he would decide on what to do next. Other than that nothing else mattered.

Mental Note To Self: Attempting To Speak With Over-Enlarged Fangs and Very Little Bodily Fluids Ends Badly.

She attempted to talk to him. Really she did. She wanted to tell him what happened, and she wanted to tell him that she had no clue what he was talking about. She didn't even know Khane was captured, which, if she had a clear mind, would have explained to her that that was where he had been, or possibly why she had the insane urge, and all it was was an urge, to follow the chopper, which landed her here, starving.

While she attempted all of these things, nothing really happened, aside from some pained hissing through over-enlarged fangs, and bending over, cradleing her abdomen and the child inside. God damn she was hungry, and until she wasn't as hungry anymore, no one was getting answers, Erica willing, or not.

Abel watched Erica as she tried to speak. It was then that he finally realized that something was wrong. He gave her a once over and noticed that her ankle was twisted. Though the thing that really stood out was the fact that her fangs were showing. Abel had encountered vampired previously and he recognized the appearance of one that had not fed in a while. Only Khane would try dating a vampire, really now that three year old punk, not letting me in on all the information. Turning his attention back to Erica, Abel knew he had to do something since in her current state she was useless. He slowly approached her and crouched down near her. She would not try to get blood from his body, there was no point. His blood was integrated with his cybernetic components and was essentially motor oil at that point.

"You know I think you just lucked out. If I am right I might still have some vials of blood on me. Just so we get this clear I keep them for the sole reason of replenishing my blood in case I sustain some sort of injury. It won't be great but its better than the crap thats in my veins."

He slipped a hand into his jacket and fished out a rather large vial of blood. It was just enough blood to do an emergency transfusion should the need arise. He just hoped he would not be regretting giving it away.

"Take it and do with it what you please. Like it or not I have to get in there, if only to retrieve something that belongs to me. I'll think about even rescuing Khane while I'm there too."

Those vial in Abels hand was gone before he had even finished talking. And, faster than any human could have seen, she undid the vial, and virtually inhaled the blood. Within moments, she looked no different than a scraped up gothy girl in platform boots, and bounced up into the air, ready to kill things, and lots of things.

"Okay, first off, is that where the ******** Khane is? He leaves me in a room with a bunch of floaty swirly things, my brother is stuck in a logic box, and I ******** want chocolate! He's been gone for days, and now I finally get out, curiousity made me stalk down that heli, I walk in, get shot at, run out, and now I'm here. ******** midget....I would be fine if it weren't for that fact that I'm taking in enough blood for two people now." Her hands rested on the slightly noticeable bulge in her stomach. Her red eyes filled with thought, and almost on the bridge of tears. "Now I find out hes been abducted and in need of rescue!? Arrrg!" She roundabouted and kicked a nearby tree, splintering it, and knocking it almost in half. "Godduckingdamnitall...." Erica swore as she held her trusty frying pan in one hand and the empty vial in another.

Abel watched wide eyed as Erica went on a rant that befitted an expecting mother. He was so lucky he was not the target of such raw anger. He waited a few moments before standing up from where he was sitting and walking over to her.

"Well now that you got that out of your system why don't we focus on the main problem at hand. Khane is captured, neither of us can simply walk in there. You have no clearance, and me well the boss man in there has a score to settle with me. Don't ask about the details but lets just say it involved his morning coffee."

Abel couldn't help but laugh at the fond memories he had of messing with the guy. It was what he deserved for cutting his paycheck in the last few months before he helped Khane escape.

"Coffee sounds really good right now." She smiled, then came to a realization. "Oh! I have this, will it help?" She said, lifting her backpack off of her shoulders, then pulling out handguns, pointy's, kitchenware and other such things that kill people, one by one, until she had a pile that would make Khane smile.

"They somehow didn't vaporize me, or it on my stroll out." She said with a light smile as she looked down at her glory pile, all of which came from a small, teeny weeny little black packpack. It was a wonder where she kept pulling these things out of.

Abel watched as the pile of weapons grew, he was impressed by the amount, but considering he knew what Goldwind had been working on when he left and their penchant for skipping regular procedures when it came to getting these things to the deployment stage, it came done to the fact that it was not enough. Sure some of the ammo could be converted, and other things made into explosives, but over all even he was going to be out gunned there. What they needed was a miracle and a half to even get to the first monorail.

"That is all well and good but we need more power to the weapons. I don't know what to expect in there exactly but what ever it is will be big, mean and definately not our friend. If it weren't for the fact that there was only two of us then I would say we should just attack head on. But since we are alone that won't work, we will get captured on sight. You they would kill, me, well I don't want to think about it. So unless you can pull an army or a thermal nuclear device from that bag, we need a plan."

Hooray for insane reality, or the lack their of Erica sighed, then reached deep into her bag, and pulled out a few figurines, one shaped like a feline, two shaped like lizards, and four rabbits.

"I was saving these for my wedding, but desperate times call for desperate measures. If I had my own magic this would be a snap, but nooo, sire didn't give my or my brother any of the good stuff, noooo, it all went to my sister. Feh, who needs her anyway?" Erica ranted as she took a few of the handguns, and from the pile, set them down, then set the figurines on top of it. "Don't worry, they won't bite you unless I tell them to." and with a last reassuring smile, she tore one of her fingers open with a fang, then dripped a few drops of precious blood onto the figurines, who were sitting on top of Erica's weapons of mass destruction.

What came out, was one, rather large catlike, massive robot, and massive, being an understatement. Erica stood maybe, up to about a quarter of the height of the toe.

The rabbits, turned into monsterous little beings, with tough skin, and held rather, large, pointies, four of them to be exact, each standing about nine feet tall in height, and nasty little critters they were. Two stood behind erica, and two stood in front of her, knowing something was wrong, one nuzzled her stomach, and all of them understood what was going on. The inched in closer to her, and kept a watchful eye on those around her, making sure no harm came to their master.

The lizard-esk ones were personally, Erica's favorites. They were magically enhanced metal, but ran off of full mechanics much like the cat-like critter. They were the same height as the rabbits, but served as mounts as well as crazy-metal-robo-raptors with lots of guns hidden inside their lithe bodies.

Erica smiled at her sire's gifts. She got these, Nny got his delusions, and sis got her magic, so all was well.

With the same smile in place she turned to Abel and smirked. "How about this?"

Abel looked at the new monsters, they were impressive but he knew that this would not be that easy. There were defences that would stop such convenient things. Though that did not mean that they were useless. This was the raw power that they needed, it would get them far enough into the place. Afterwards improvisation would play a key role in the next move.

"These might work, but not for long. We cant keep them with us. They will work as a distraction for a while. Tell me, can they explode on command?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 13, 2007 7:39 pm

Erica thought for a moment. She pointed up to the big one. "You don't want him to explode. He would take out the entire building, and then some." She thought again for a few seconds then nodded." The raptors can as well. As for the Miffles," she said pointing to the rabbits "They can't, they're living." She said with a smile. The raptors shrilled in response to Erica's insane logic, as if asking what exploding them would do. Erica, in turn reached up and pet them, trying to soothe their nerves. The felid mech just stood where he was, crouched, and looking like a massive building in the forest. It knew its purpose, and that was to serve the mistress, nothing more, nothing less.

The Miffles just stood there, taking turns nuzzling Erica's stomach, as if listening to the child grow. One kissed Erica's stomach, and another lightly tapped it, as if confused what was inside, it tapped lightly understanding that it was delicate, but not understanding what the other ones were listening for.

"Poor things. Most born creatures understand birth already, but these dears were crafted, sewn from other animals, then shot to life. Its sad, but they serve me as their 'father's' daughter. The Miffles are like siblings...but they only physically last for so long. I mean, they'll be back, they only have four souls, so when father creates new ones, they'll still be the same Miffles, just in different bodies." She said as she stroked the smaller one's ear as it thumped a foot happily.

"Anyway, these three go boom" Pointing to the mechanic ones. "And these ones do not.", motioning to the Miffles.

Van cocked an eyebrow a bit. He had heard something in the distance. He couldn't be sure what but he heard it, "Did any of you hear that?" He glanced over at the others.

Van could now see the individual guards and their weapons. It was a bit intimidating now that he was seeing the odds first hand. Oh well, it's not like I have anything to loose. He readied himself for the inevitable as they drew closer.

Reizo watched the two odd figures, Erica and Abel, with slight interest. The two of them were obviously going to try to retrieve Khane as well. Maybe it would be easier if they allowed them to go after him... that way Reizo wouldn't have to get his hands dirty. Besides, his strengths relied in darkness and his powers would be weakened within the complex, he was fully aware of such a thing. Though killing things were fun... mechanical things not so much. He liked to inflict pain and take away lives, not break down robots. Where was the fun in that.

"Who the hell are you!?" The annoyed voice of Anysi then rang out in the air once she noticed Erica and Abel. Unlike Reizo she was being much less nonchalant about the whole situation, but that was merely due to the fact that she had been angry prior to when she learned about the mission at hand.

"All Guards to stations, this is not a drill, All Guards to statio--"

The loudspeakers blazed on in a calm voice, the same message over and over again. Intruders had been detected, heavily armed intruders. All having arrived from that hole that Khane had been dragged kicking and screaming out of. White suited guards raced to windows, opening them up and bracing themselves against their guns, a larger contingent raced to the front entry hallway, forming ranks. The front two ranks readied their stun batons, the rest readied 9mm side arms, and Pulse Rifles. All the turrets were activated, leaving every conceivable placed stuffed with some form of machine gun or another. The metal doors were electrified, and most importantly, the single elevator to the Nexus center was sent back down the 20km long tube that it lived in, the tube was vacuum sealed, magnetically shut, and then placed behind 4 feet of living metal plating. The Nexus Side entrance to the elevator was surrounded by twenty Adapts Labrynthus, fully armed and set to their most destructive.

Arthur S. Goldwind sat in his chair, at the bottom of the Tau Complex, outside the hallway that led to the room that had Abel's object of want, and poured himself another shot of brandy.
