"Weeeell," she thought. "I have three sibilings, but they're all girls. You're a boy, so that makes you much more fun to play with!" She wasn't really saying it right, but it was moreso that she just didn't know what boys were like, and wanted to see just what they could do. If they really were different from girls, like what Mother said.

"And of course there's fun things to do here! You just don't look hard enough."

All girls? Bandele would have died young. He'd have thrown himself off the highest branch of the tallest tree as many times as it took to kill him. If he had that many sisters, that is.

Life didn't hate him that much, so he had none. Just two brothers, and while annoying, he wouldn't trade them for a sister of any sort. Females were frustrating.

He rolled his eyes again and stopped, making sure to step off to the side so she wouldn't run into him. What a clutz. "Is that right? What, exactly, should I be looking for?"

"Weeeeelll," she said again, something that was obviously turning into her phrase. "First, you gotta look for the places that most of the pride don't go to. Like the extra caves over there." She pointed out to where there were some caves, ones that still seemed vacant of pride members. "Sometimes there's really cool stuff in there that's been sitting in there for forever!"

"Oorrrr," she started up again. "You gotta look for all those deeeeep, daaaark places." She wasn't being very descriptive here, but her sudden creeping around the ground might of helped to explain it. If your brain worked like hers did.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 02, 2007 2:24 pm

...This was ridiculous.

"The only thing that is in any of the caves here is rocks. No one goes there because there's no reason to go there," he explained logically. Not that he expected her to be able to understand what he was saying. It was an amazement she could focus enough to listen. "There are no deeeep or daaaark places in these lands. They're boring."

Konya paused this time, a real thought actually crossing her mind. Wait, what? Who just did this guy think he was? Leader of everything or something?

"Weeeeell, then," she said again, but with a little frustration in her voice. "Obviously you don't know how to have any fun if you can't even use that big poofy head of yours to have some." She huffed at him, tossing her nose up into the air. "I think you're just boring, a boring boooooy."

Bandele rolled his eyes. There was that word again. Boring? So what if he was 'boring'? The Unity Walkers were boring. He'd fit right in. This annoying girl would be Bidii's best friend should they ever meet, he was sure. They could stumble around like morons agreeing with each other how boring he was.

"Hey Konya!"

The voice was that of her sister. The blue cub was on Hasana's head, and the zebra-patterned lioness walked over to the duo, mildly surprised to see Bandele socializing in someones company.

Alake stared at them. "Is this your grandson?" She increased her tiny grip as Hasana nodded her head, Alake's current grounding.

"Wow! Everyone in our families is going to be married!"

Konya's attention soon abandoned anything related to Bandele, and was moreso at the sheer height that her sister was on. "Alake!" she squeaked, surprised but pleased. "What're you doing soooo high up?"

She bounced around towards Hasana, running around the lioness as she tried to figure out just how her sister got up so high. Hasana was just as big as Mommy, but she never let them crawl all up on her like thaaaat!

She soon skidded to a stop in front of Hasana, between her and her grandson. Konya's eyes blinked in confusion, looking back at Bandele and back at her sister. "Whaddya mean?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 06, 2007 1:59 pm

Bandele, most unfortunately, knew exactly what she was implying and oh how he dreaded what was coming. He'd heard all about Fadhi and his 'future mate' Alake. He assumed the chattering new arrival was Alake.

How did she and Konya know each other? He got his answer soon enough.

"Our families are naturally attracted to each other," Alake went on, saying it like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Which, come on, it was. "We're destined to all be together. You and Fadhi's, umm..."

"Nephew," Hasana offered.

"Right! You and Fadhi's nephew are destined just like me and Fadhi! We're all going to grow old together like Hasana!"

The mentioned lioness blinked.

...Old?

"Ummmm." Konya didn't really get it. Just what was her sister saying? She sat there for a moment, staring at her blankly before it clicked. Ohhhh!

She flipped her attention back to Bandele, eyeing him carefully, as if she was judging him in a whole new light. "So wait....he's supposed to be my future mate? Is that what you mean, Alake?"

Before she would wait for a reply though, she shivered at the thought of getting old. Ewwwww. She wanted to be like this forevers! Oooolllddd, blech!

Jeesh. Her sister was slow. Good thing this grandson of her mother-in-law looked smart. It would balance them out. Kind of like how Alake was the most beautiful genius on the face of the planet, and Fadhi, um...

Wasn't.

"That's right!" confirmed Alake much too cheerfully and certain for Bandele's liking. The male cub rolled his eyes, and grimaced after catching the eye of his grandmother. Why did she look so amused? This was NOT a funny matter!

"This is his grandma Hasana, she's Fadhi's mom, though," the blue and brown sister explained. It was lucky for her they'd hit it off right away. Made things a lot easier. Hasana found her entertaining and missed having girl cubs around.

"Reeeeally?!" Konya was loving this way too much. Waaaay too much. Her wide-eyed expression stuck on her face as she looked at Hasana. There didn't seem to be anything in her expression for Konya to feel any differently, and Konya swiveled around to look at Banele. A little differently now.

"Yay!" She squeaked and scrambled towards the cub, haaappy as could be, totally believe it to be true. That would certainly make things interesting, wouldn't it?
PostPosted: Sat Oct 06, 2007 2:31 pm

What?!

Bandele hadn't been worried. He really hadn't. This Alake was as much of a loud-mouth as he thought and just as brainless. Konya had repeatedly called him boring, so surely wouldn't go along with this ridiculous theory. No, even she wasn't stupid enough to--

Bandele found himself fallen on the ground, Konya having collided with him after the terrible, life-ending 'Yay!'. Yes, his life was over from this moment on. If his grandmother allowed this, it was all over. His mother wouldn't save him if it meant going against her own. What was he suppose to do...?

"...Great."

"We should tell Mother!" Alake told her sister.

No doubt she'd be positively thrilled by the news.

The little cub squeaked a bit more, clinging onto the base of Bandele's neck like no other. Oooh, how happy! They would all be one really big happy family now, wouldn't they! Konya knew her mother would love this, there was no doubt whatsoever! Even in truth, Latifu wouldn't care as long as her girls were happy, but Konya would be sure to tell her mother that it was juuuust what she wanted.

"Isn't this just great, Bandele?" Now aaaaallll of her attention was at her 'mate-to-be'.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 06, 2007 4:57 pm

"...." Bandele said nothing. What could he say? Besides, his expression shot toward his grandmother said enough: Savemeplz. Hasana tried to give him a sympathetic look. It wasn't a total success. She couldn't help but crack just a teeny, tiny smile.

The grandmother lioness chuckled. "Alright, alright. I need to take him home to his mom before she gets worried." It still felt so weird calling her daughter titles like that.

"Awwwww," Konya whined, looking up at Hasana with large eyes. Did he really have to go nooooow? But but but.... "Baaandele, we've gotta play again tomorrow!" Yes yes, now that they were together, they'd have to spend lots of time together!

If only everything were as simple as this cub thought they were.

She let go of the male cub and bounced over towards Hasana, looking up at her sister. "Should we go home too, Alake?"
