I'm not too fond of the higher singing (there are exceptions), but for the most part I just don't like it. @O. Thrash was my second choice. I can only listen to power metal for about five minutes before it starts grinding away at my ears. But really, death metal is my very least favorite genre, and the band that personifies my hate of it perfectly is definitely Cannibal Corpse.
CC is absolutely atrocious and it sickens me every time I hear their name. Both for their lyrics and their style that sounds the same no matter what song I'm listening to.. burning_eyes

Lomedin gothic... jesus, cant cope with it... and any christian metal, of course razz Lyrics=/= genre. Christian Metal isn't a genre.

Both for their lyrics and their style that sounds the same no matter what song I'm listening to.. burning_eyes what's so sickening about a band that sings songs like "i c** blood"? j/k rofl although i must say, cannibal corpse doesn't really bother me. by NO MEANS are they great death metal - their music is fairly mediocre and their lyrics are juvenile - but they aren't the worst death metal i've ever heard either. when i listen to death metal, though, i generally seek out bands with more technicality to the music and more meaningful lyrics - nile, later death and later cryptopsy, etc...

Hardcore, but then again that's not really metal. Cause it's not even music, uh haha. Yeah beyond that I can't really say anything because I at least like one band from all of the genres. Even metalcore, surprisingly.

The answer's in the question. crying Yeah, but really, CC is severely musically challenged. Every single song sounds exactly like the last. It's rather annoying. Plus, death metal just has disgusting lyrics general. I find it sickening.

Drone Doom
i do like a lot of the stuff Boris does, but really, i just cant stand it, i like all other parts of Doom, just not Drone
i also find it weird that i can stand Post-Rock, and that i love Noise Rock (which are both very different but have similarities to Drone that i dont particularly like in Drone)
