Ah, so desu.
I'll go fix that, thank you. And I want to explore the Ghost in the Machine concept a bit more. So I'm currently doing research, hopefully the idea hasn't been taken into action officially yet.

And yes that is my character from SHC, he's an OC I've often used in the past and can easily adjust him depending on his environment.

Hm.... I love your silent scream idea, but I don't know if the ghost in the machine would be allowed because of the "no man-made essences or souls" rule. Even so, *thumbs up* mrgreen

New Concept under this line

I have revamped and tried a new essence and soul for your criting pleasures. My reason for switching up is due to boredom. Just grew tired of the other essence which remain on the back burner should an idea come to mind. I may set up the thread to present more then one essence at a time that way I can make a poll and get some good insight into the essence that would work best for me along with a compatible soul. Anywhooo... give me your personal opinions, ideas and crit. Be nice but don't sugar coat, it will help me better get a feel for what the Lab ?? community is looking for in new raevan additions.

Sorry if you think people aren't interested in your concepts Kuuro, I'm sure that's not the case although I can only speak for myself. I personally don't like to just say I like your idea because I somehow feel that's a cheap round about way. I always feel that people deserve some sort of constructive crit to go along with it if I can find something. Also, sometimes so much stuff is going on that people tend to forget about the quests here, and it's even more difficult to go through all of them since there are so many now.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Sorry. Anyway, I do like your desert rain essence. I imagine it looking something like how the ocean in FF12 was. A sea of sand, but instead it's sand falling like rain, right? Very interesting indeed. I also enjoy the fact that you coupled it with a water based soul. I think this creates a certain conflict with the Raevan wanting or liking both to be wet and dry, or something to that accord. I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but conflict is good sometimes. Furthermore, the frailty of the soul could make an interesting trait that could be reborn in the Raevan. There are lots of strong able bodied (rather half-bodied) Raevans around, one that's almost fragile in nature would, I think, bring more diversity to the growing community.
Hopefully I've helped you somehow, though I doubt you needed much since you always seem to organize your concepts so well and thoroughly. I wish you the best of luck in your quest Kuuro!

Let's begin with your essences, kay? :3
Your Desert Rain is similar to Kamina's concept of a Desert Coral in that both incorporate well the desert and a watery element. I'm not trying to put your concept down or anything, but it also seems more sandy than watery to me. For example, when you described it as disturbed beads clinging to the sides of the vial, I really just imagined grains of sand, not really like water droplets. Also, I would like to ask what the essence would look like. Would it appear as white sand, being clear like water, or blue sand? If it's blue, it reminds me too much of a dyed type of sand. /end neopets <___<;;; Another tidbit is the effect it would have on your Raevan. Would your Raevan be more water based or sand based? Is the essence..drinkable? o 3 o;; Sorry that was another question eating away at me hahaha. Speaking of edibility, what would it eat if it was made of Desert Rain?
I think you should also come up with numerous essences, since that way, you'll be open to more soulxessence combinations for your semi-custom. Well, that was obvious >__<;; But I mean, the more the merrier.
I do like your soul though! Very interesting design and I would love to see how Kyou would incorporate its ...I can only describe it as waviness XD;; into the Raevan's overall look. Please work hard in tweaking your concepts and never give up! <3

Yes yes... informations! *glees* But on that note thank you, it has helped to clear things up. Haven't read Kamina's concept and will keep away from it for that fact alone. I do have other essence on the back burner which I'm still wanting to fine proper souls for in order to incorporate them better.
For now, Dessert Rain is a starting point (for my revamping) but yes thanks for the crit it helps a lot. I wasn't even aware of the Dessert Coral and it does sound similar so I'll be sure to take that into account and work around possible likenesses.

I have to disagree a little with that. Yes, both are similar in that they incorporate the desert in some aspect, but I think they are uniquely their own still. Kamina's essence is more about the coral and how it is growing and surviving in such a hostile environment that it shouldn't be able to handle. While Kuuro's is about sand that acts like something else, in this case water/rain. So unless Kamina has any objections to it, I don't see why Kuuro can't go for this essence. Of course, this is just my own opinion.

I admit the names are rather similar which could throw some folks off. I plan to keep the idea and work some other angles like Kaurii-rin had pointed out see if a better visual, what it looks like in the vial, is it edible and things of that nature. Those are some good areas to explores.
Both have been helpful I do see some areas to better explain and while the names are similar I think maybe giving them different names would help to seperate the similarities but better understand what the object is.
My essence deals with sand acting as something it normally should not (i.e. water). Considering it says "desert rain" I should probably focus on that more. Sand that falls like rain.. hmm? Either way you both have been helpful so I'll work something out see how it fleshes out.

Added some new fel essence ideas, revived my old silent scream. Desert rain has been put on the back burner until more ideas come to mind in fleshing it out. I still like it but just want to give it time.
More ideas will possibly pop up as they come to me. Feel free to hack 'n slash as necessary I know they aren't the best ideas in the world but they are ideas nonetheless. And it's one step closer to my ideal concept.

Working on some revamping and fleshing out my idea behind the silent scream. Being that this is my favorite essence I want to see if I can bring some life into the ideal raevan I have in mind.
Feel free to crit and leave some ideas and suggestions. They are always welcomed and will help better flesh out my thoughts.

Added new fel essence "dark water" and removed a few others. Added new souls but need a little more research for their compatibility.
Currently still in love with Silent Scream essence but generally falling for Dark Water as well.
Please crit and give some insight always helpful to know what's going on. I did some in shop research to make sure there wasn't a water based raevan though Mermaid's Tears comes close to an water base as they come.
please please please leave crits.
