Banjoko's face contorted in a mask of confusion, happiness, torment..he couldn't possibly name all the things that were buzzing in his brain at that moment. His father, alive? Incredible news! Even a hint at where he may be.... But if Banjoko found him, he would be..unhappy? That was one outcome he had not expected. No. That could not be true. The seer must be...mistaken somehow. Confused.

Wait. A female in white and gray? This was not part of his calculations. In his imagination, his father had always been alone. The thought only came to him slowly. His father had taken a mate...not his mother. Why had his father not stayed with his mother? Did he not love her? Argh! The thoughts, the questions were so much.

He would find his father, Matsai had said so. At once Banjoko felt torn. If his father - Banjoko searched his memory for the name his mother had told him - if Vian was living through strife, then Banjoko could go help him. No, no...if it was something Vian could not fix on his own, how could Banjo help him? That must be what Matsai meant. Perhaps if Banjoko found him, he too would be caught in whatever snare his father was in.

Befuddled, and getting a headache, Banjoko finally managed to focus his eyes back on the seer, though he could not keep them steady. "Your...your words have caused a great many thoughts to spring into my mind. I thank you for telling me what you saw. If...if there is some way I can repay you..." as his thoughts wandered off, so did his words. Momentarily, he was able to get back on track. "However, if there is nothing further, I fear I need to be alone with my thoughts. Thank you...thank you for this, Matsai. It is appreciated beyond words."

Matsai rolled heavy, broad shoulders as he eyed the juvenile, his gaze thoughtful.

"I highly suggest you heed me, but if you are truly intent on finding your father... I suggest you either go in absolute stealth, or wait until you are old enough to fight off a full grown, expierienced male lion." His words, though intent, lacked emotion, just as they had this entire time. "You have no idea what you are going into if you go to your father now. There is a good chance you will be killed, or worse, thus why I suggested you go back to your mother. Remember your father in a kinder light, and forget what I said."

He rose ubruptly and shook himself all over, shedding dust. His own thoughts had taken a darker turn, and the tension in his face was -almost- a frown. His own father had not left on good terms... he'd seen his mother in his dreams, and what his father had done to her. It was enough to make his blood boil inside him. At least, Banjoko's father had not been so cruel.

"I require nothing in payment. I asked you for this favor, it is enough that you let me practice my skills on you, and for that, I am the one thanking you." He turned back to offer a deep nod, the young seer allowing something like a pleasant expression to move onto his face.

"Okay," Banjoko mumbled, his ears absorbing the words. But he wasn't looking at the seer anymore; his mind's eye was filled with his own heroic visions of all the ways he could come to his father's rescue.

His eyes barely flickered when Matsai told him to forget what he said. "Forget it? How can I? And what would be the purpose? No, no, you saw what you did for a reason. I thank you for your input, sir, and I will consider your warnings. But I cannot just give up that easily." There was a barely-contained fire in his tone.

"Once again I thank you, sir. Your words mean much to me."

And with that, Banjoko took his leave. There was so much for him to think about, and he needed to do it on his own.
