Watching her daughter and mate interact for the first time warmed her heart. She almost thought she might be dreaming and that this happy scene would fade away. But her dreaming thoughts soon switched back to the reality that was as her son decided to make his amazing grand entrance that went completely wrong. As the basket lid landed with him underneath her heart skipped a beat and she was up on her hooves and moving towards him. As he poked his nose out from beneath she breathed a sigh of relief that he was ok and carefully placed her nose beneath the basket lid and flipped it off him very easily. With his whole body in view now she noticed just how much he took after her. Though the bright green in his mane definitely showed just how much like his father he was. Giving him a soft loving whinney she nuzzled her muzzle against his neck, pride filling her for both her new little foals.

Yukio's attempt to make her giggle worked. Her little voice was as soft as the fall winds blowing through the slowly changing leaves. The noise her brother was making caught her attention and she turned her head towards him with her ears perked high in curiousity to the sound. For a moment she was confused as the sight she saw was only the basket lid. How could a basket lid make all that noise? Then she saw him, his nose sticking out from under the lid. She smiled as she watched her mother flip the lid off him leaving him exposed to the world.

Seeing her brother for the very first time she now itched to get closer. To smell and to touch him and see up close this other little one that looked just like her momma. Alas the only way to do that was to get up, put her mind to it, and walk. Up she goes. One leg under her, two legs, then three and four. She was up! Oh boy it's high... Don't think about the height, she told herself. Determination to get closer to her brother got her going. Step one, out of the basket lid, step two, three and four and she was out of the lid. So far so good. Step, step, step, step and there he was laying on the ground before her. Slowly she leaned her head down almost falling over but a quick waggle of her tail and she was good to sniff her brother's back. He smelled just like mother and father... just like her. Turning her gaze to his face she smiled and nickered a greeting to him.
