i have seen light sabers with two blades coming out like a fork, a light saber walking stick, and a whip. thats about it... but im sure trident is some where in the near future.
even though it would be cool....

I still dont think it would work tho, yet i didnt think you could have a light whip either.

i light trident or fork wouldnt take about the same effort as weilding a DB saber. i would be a really cool thing though

I cant see it working that well, it seems like it would be too unweilding to use.

Just trying to think if I could think up a different light weapon.

If the oponent made a lunge and you stepped aside and caught their blade between your two blades you could flip their lightsaber out of their hands leaving them defenceless.
A Smart Lightsaber duelist would deactivate then reactive the lightsaber and behead the trident weilding N00b.

If you won't stand for our troops....

Within the relm of Star Wars, it wouldn't be possible. Neither would the whip.

....then go stand in front of them.

Asajj Ventress right when she fiber corded her sabers together. that would be extremly dangerous yet extremly effective if you knew what you were doing

I feel like that would just be out there. I'd wonder what Lucas and all the writers were thinking. A lightfork...would that be jedi or sith? blaugh

There isn't a lightfork or trident per se, but there is a forked lightsaber, which only belonged to one Jedi:

the light whip was used by Lyumina the Dark lady of the Sith in the LOTF series. (which i am reading currently) Luke used a shoto or short blade lightsaber to battle her along with his regular one. the fork idea as well as many other weapon styles (mainly form the martial arts background) have been thought of but i have yet to see proof of any of them. though there are lightsabers that are waterproof and can be used under water. just in case you were wondering

ha. if the forked saber weilder was fast enough he/she could just snap their hand back when the "smart duelist" put his saber down. it takes at least 1 second for the saber to go down and up and another 1 or 2 to reposition the saber.
