malsah Dante Reaver I clench alot in a scrap. gives good leverage and allows the delivery of a devestating knee strike, or as is the situation in a bar throw them into things or someone and deal with next comer. as for kicks being gay, thats just stupid. The Legs by far have the most complex and developed muscles of the body. The Strength in your legs even if not used for kicks in alot of martial arts are used for momentum and energy to deliver in a punch or other hand strike. yes, i agree clinching is a good skill to have in a fight and i dont even do muay thai. alot of fighters from other striking arts and street fighters dont know how to react to the clinch, and try to pull out of it forgeting about the knees coming to the chest/abdomen. oh, and give that p***y boy a break. i used to think kicking was gay until i learnt how to do it, and then kicked this kid and broke 3 of his ribs. good times... The same can be accomplished with punches too...I should know. What I thought was a little tap broke my sparing partner's ribs.

DarklingGlory Hehe I would really like to see a fight between you two xd I'm leaving for Tokyo in less than a month I'm sure we can arrange something We have to do Mixed rules. 4 rounds, alternating between Kickboxing and MMA. GOtta say I don't expect to last long in an MMA round.

Muay Thai is one of the greatest fighting arts ever and like soul said the clinch is hard to master...Usually im Like You Martial J i keep distance with kicks and just foot jab when ever some one moves in. One thing i say that works for me are the check kicks, i use them as stop hit to block A leg assault from my opponent. or even better when some one throws a kick at you rather hook the leg and sweep there base out, or move in throw the leg down and box with them a bit{ Only if you a good boxer}
