Alli fell over as Abunai raced past her on his bike. She immediately went to picking up all the notebooks. "Oh no!" She gasped as some of the pages flew out. "No!" She tried grabbing as many as possible, but some blew out of her reach.

Just as Abunai was parking his bike his cell phone started ringing. He quickly pulled it out of his pants pocket humming to the song it was playing.

"Yo, this is Abi!" He said into his phone while checking to make sure he had locked his bike up tight so no one would take it. He's had that happen before.

Jessica heard the bell rang and walked casually into her first period classroom. She was about to settle down at her usual spot with some friends, but her gaze immediately fell on Pete. ((Who, im guessing, she knows.)) She smoothed out the fabric on her black t-shirt and sat down in the seat beside him.
"Hey Pete."
She said with a smile and a small wink.

[eep! Sorry dinner sweatdrop ]

"Hey! Rose here." She giggled. "Where are y-" She stopped in mid-sentence and hung up. Rose snuck over behind him and hugged him.

"First day of school. Wonder what it's gunna be like." She pushed up her sleeves and wiped a strand of hair from her eyes.

She heard the bell ring. "Uh oh... We're gunna be late! C'mon!" She grabbed his hand and dragged him along behind her. They had just made it before the teacher had gotten in. Letting go of his hand Rose tried to walk in unnoticed. Sitting by a window, she pulled out a notebook and waited.

Alli put all but one of the notebooks in her bag, leaving her language arts notebook on the desk. She opened it up, seeing her little scribbles in the margins of her notes. Among her notes were little snippets of stories that nearly never grew into anything else. She often had to rewrite her notes, and sift through what was fact, and what was her alternate rules.

"Geez... You really over do it don't yah?" Rose looked at him a little shocked. She had never really seen him get into school before.


The teacher glared at her. "Miss De Winter, front and center." He barked and she went up to the front blushing. "Students, this is a Transfer. Her name is Rose De Winter and she has just come from a sunny place called California. Take a seat now." He started talking about literature. After all, it was an english class.


Taking a seat, Rose slouched in a desk chair in the class room, staring out the window and wondering if the bald stick of a professor, who was wearing a tweed jacket even though it was the middle of fall and the heaters weren't working in the buildings, would ever finish his drone. On and on went the professor, about monomyths and other stuff she considered absolutely nonessential to any conceivable life she might want to lead, if not stupid. Today's topic, the prof had announced in a voice that even he had to know was somniferous, was a loss of innocence as exemplified by the biblical Adam and Eve tale.
