Ieshia began to worry more and more as they went along. The silence was heavy...or at least it seemed to be. She knew he wasn't talkative, that that didn't bother her. What did was that he seemed dazed...as though something was wrong or something was distracting him. No matter how silent he had been before, he hadn't been like that. Her ears flickered back for a moment only to move forward again. She knew how he was when she worried about him...so the best she could do was pretend she wasn't, at least for the moment.

His brows seemed to knit together as his eyes closed down slightly, he had to keep them open. If he was to have to stop then Ieshia would worry and he couldn't have that. Cracking his mouth open a bit he allowed his tongue to hang out, he couldn't figure what was wrong with him. The wound hadn't been deep enough, nor did he believe it to be infected. He had gotten cuts all the time and this had never happened, he was lost for any logical thougts.

Ieshia could tell he was struggling with something, though she didn''t know what. Was he sick? Her laid back attitude was easily shaken in situations like this and she didn''t like it at all. Tail lowering, she glanced back over at him. Unable to hold her concern any longer, she asked in a whine, "Are you ok, Vitus...? Do we need to stop...?"

His green eyes now seeming quite faint, glanced up at her. "I'm fune." he smiled weakly perking his ears up slightly. He didn't like lying to her, but he found it better then to tell her that something was bothering him. A shiver ran down his spine as more thoughts of his past filled his head. 'Nu...c**t' thunk about ut....' he thought to himself. The wolf let out a sneeze then shook his pelt, he felt somewhat chilly and yet warm at the same time. "Wu dun't neud to stup." he uttered.

Ieshia stopped, setting the rabbit down at her feet. She moved over to his side, ears falling back as she sniffed at him. He didn't look well at all...was it her imagination or were his eyes not coming into focus? She got close to him, seeing if he was overly warm. "Do you feel sick...?" she asked, despite his earlier response being he was fine.

He pouted lowering his ears and head. He did feel somewhat sick and perhaps it would be best if he did tell her. "A but..." he spoke a slight whimper escaping his maw. Gently he rested his head upon his friend, he was feeling queasy.

Ieshia did think the felt a little warm...but she could be mistaken. She let him rest his head on her, holding him up for a moment. Then she suggested, "Why don't you lay down?" He must be sick, for she could tell he didn't feel well. And to think she had thought it was something in his memories! Well that didn't appear to be all of it.

Vitus flicked his ears as he lifted up his head off of Ieshia. "You sure?" he asked looking at her with unfocused eyes. He held back from shaking his head again, Ieshia seemed unfocued to him. He swallowed hard, there was something wrong with him. 'As lung as I cun stull seu.' he thought trying to reasure himself.

Ieshia gave a tiny nod, nudging him gently as she began to help him to the ground. Her ears flattened against her head, for she felt extremely helplesss. What was she to do? He seemed only to be getting worse. She swallowed back and whimper and forced herself to focus on helping him down.

With the help from Ieshia Vitus lay down on the ground. Gently he placed his head upon his forepaws, closing his eyes resting them. He wanted to be able to see later, his sight was the only good sense he belived to have. His tail ficked before curling around his side, ears perked up. "Thunks." he smiled, keeping his eyes shut. Hopefully this would all stop soon, he knew he was worrying his friend and he hated it.

Ieshia laid herself down at his side, resting her muzzle upon his neck. She kept her eyes wide open and her ears perked on her head. She'd keep watch over him and their surroundings...hopefully nothing would make a change for the worse. Relaxing most of her muscles, she made herself as comfortable as she could. They might be there for a while.

Vitus allowed the smile on his face to vanish, his hind leg pushed back on the dirt, scraping some of it away. Could all this pain come from one simple cut? He felt Ieshia's muzzle rest upon his neck causing him to smile a bit. He was happy to have his friend around, especially at a time like this. He winched as a pain shot though his wounded paw, keeping his maw shut making sure no yelps esacped. He'd rest a bit and then all things would be fine...

Ieshia nuzzled against his fur ever so slightly, holding back a concerned whine. He'd be ok, she kept telling herself. He'd be fine after a little rest. She glanced about with golden eyes, her ears twitching as well. She half hoped someone would come and know what was wrong...the other half of her dreaded what would happen if someone unfriendly arrived.

Unwiding his tail from his side he swished it around behind him, dust floating up into the air. A happy melody play in his mind as he thought of better times when he was a pup. Thunder boomed in his mind, causing the music to dull and become unsettling. He wrinckled his nose, before letting out a sneeze. His mind was always an unhappy place to be...

Ieshia let her ears fall back slightly as she shut her eyes, as though this would block the worry out. She relaxed slightly, a small tingling sensation at the back of her mind giving her comfort. She wasn't sure what it was...perhaps it was a faded memory. Before she even realized what she was doing, she began to hum lightly, the vibration spreading from her throat. It was a cheerful, but soft tune, one filled with much heart.
