Because her eyes were closed and her nose pointed towards the sky she didn't see that he had been watching her, nor did she feel the weight of his gaze, she was too focused on relaxing her muscle and staying afloat. At his murmur she cracked open an eye to see him floating on top of the water as she was. "It's relaxing and peaceful isn't it?"

He nodded, eyes still shut. "It feels lovely. Thank you for showing me." He started to yawn though. "But swimming is making me tired.." He laughed and opened his eyes, blinking away the sunlight and looking at the clouds.
He let his mind slowly wander, touching on his homelands and his parents. He thought a lot about Nafsi, he couldn't stop thinking about the green leopardess. I think I love you. He didn't say those words, but he thought them and smiled to himself, face going a little dopey. All in good time... he figured she probably didn't feel the same way. He thought that perhaps... perhaps she would just feel like a friend.
Ah... he shouldn't trouble himself. He rolled back to his belly and shifted. "I think a nap is in order." He chuckled, starting to swim back to the shore. He glanced over his shoulder to watch her a moment, to see if she'd stay in the water or follow.

"Thank you for joining me." Nafsi replied closing both eyes once more. "It is a nice work out." Then silence settled between them and she didn't mind at all, not now because it was just nice to be around the other. It gave her time to think about everything. About her family that she hadn't seen since she was an adol, about their next destination and about Rengo himself.
In a way she dreaded returning to his homelands, even though he had told her that he wouldn't stop traveling after visiting she feared that in the end he would. That perhaps his family would not let him continue, after all he had left without a word last time. In any case she wasn't ready to let him go, even if the chance of him leaving was slim to none. She wasn't sure if she'd ever be ready to let him go.
When she heard him speak again she opened her eyes and also rolled over to her stomach. "I do believe that you are correct." She then paddled after him. As much fun as swimming was a nice nap sounded so delightful and welcoming. It didn't take her long to catch up with him and when she was beside him she nudged him softly when she was able to touch the sandy ground once more.

He chuckled and nipped at an ear, moving far up in the shore before slowly settling down. He didn't mind the sand sticking to him, this was a good spot to dry in the sun and sleep.
"Is here okay with you?" He looked up at her. He assumed she didn't mind sleeping next to him, they'd slept next to each other before. He knew soon they would be traveling back to his homelands... his mother would be furious with him. Would she be even more angry since he'd be leaving again?

Once she was out of the water she shook her body to get a bit of the loose water clinging to her fur free and out of the way. She joined him afterwards and nodded. "Here is perfect." She responded settling down beside him. She looked at him with her light pink eyes before leaning against him. "How much longer do you want to stay here?" She questioned softly

He watched her, feeling sleepy as he laid so close to his companion. He shut his eyes, leaning his head on his paws. "I'm not sure." He said slowly. Part of him wanted to stay in the beautiful, relaxing spot... another part of him wanted to visit his home and the last part wanted to leave so he could continue on to other lands with her. "It's nice here." He said slowly, tail flicking. "Maybe a few more days wouldn't hurt." He peaked open one eye so he could see what she thought of that.

She rested her head on his shoulder not thinking too much about it. A yawn escaped her maw as she closed her eyes. "A few more days sound nice." She replied sleepily. "More time with you all to myself...." She mumbled barely audible.

He could feel his heart beat increase with her words and smiled softly, snuggling closer. He slowly fell asleep, quite pleased with his decision.

She smiled to herself before she too joined Rengo into sleep and the land of dreams. It felt so nice to sleep against him.
