Willow sighed with relief as the guys came back up and landed near her on the bank. Looking at Zale's face she suddenly remembered what she had just done underwater and a bright red blush spread across her face. Laying her head in her arms, hopefully before Zale could notice, she muttered, "I'm glad you're both okay." Her eyes looked up to the sky, like usual before she continued, "Just dont' try fishing like that again, alright?"

Rey glanced from one to the other as his friends caught their breath. "Yeah, you really need to be more careful, Zale!" he exclaimed, then looked to Willow. "Oh, I get it! You did that so Willow would kiss you, right?" He grinned innocently, not yet fully comprehending why she had kissed him underwater. He knew about mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, but he didn't think it was possible underwater. He had been too distracted to notice Willow using magic.

Zale blinked a few times, not fully comprehending Rey's statement. " Wah? " His eyebrows scrunched together as his heartbeats became steady. " No! " He exlaimed, pushing himself halfway up. " It was just a load of magic, that's all. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get my rod and break it in half. "
No more water for him. Even the thought of being near the stuff sent shivers down his spine. Zale rose up and huffing, walked over to where his fishing gear laid.

Willow groaned at Rey's statement, "I had to use magic like Zale said!"She stood on shaky legs before walking over towards the two. Rolling her eyes she paused by Zale and held back his hands. "Do you really want to quit something that you've been trying to get good at for so long?" She whispered, "If Jynx knew, she might call you a 'fraidy cat, you know." She paused, "But it is your choice." With that she let go of his hands and walked back over towards Rey. She grinned at the blue cattaur, "And to think I came here because I was thirsty...but I think I've had my fill of water for the day."

Rey's eyes widened at the mention of magic. "Really, Willow? You can do magic? That's amazing!" He grinned at Zale, not catching what Willow said about Jynx. "Good idea, Zale! You don't need a rod! I'll teach you how to fish with your hands!" He hugged Willow with one arm. "I don't think I need to teach you, Willow, 'cause you can just do magic."

If Jynx ever knows, I'll have a new fur rug. " Uh, Rey? I really don't think that's what she meant. " He yawned, then reached down to take his rod in hand. Closing his eyes briefly, he gave the little twig a snap and tossed it into the woods. " Alright, so how do you do this again? " The bright cattaur padded over to the waters edge, careful not to repeat last times event.

"Okay." Willow sank down to watch the boys fish. Her face was hidden by the shadow of an overhanging tree branch. Would she ever be of any value? Shaking that thought aside the leopard like cattaur streched back and glanced briefly at the gathering of clouds over head. Looks like rain...

Reyamet grinned and took his place next to Zale. "Okay, just stand really still and wait while you watch the fish. Then when one comes close enough to your legs, hold your hands just above the water, then... grab it!" he yelled the last words, clutching the fish and throwing it onto the shore. He beamed at Zale. "Now you try."

Zale's tongue peeped out on the right side of his mouth as he concentrated on his prize. It seemed easy enough when Rey did it but then it had a minute ago. Arms stretched out and wobbling slightly, he trotted down stream, following the fishes movements before screaming and diving down for it. " Got it! " The fish squirmed in his arms and took advantage of his confusion to smack him in the face with it's tail. " Why you-! "

Zale pouted as the fish continued to thrash. " I don't care! It worked-" Unfortunately, his forepaw slipped on a rock, sending him and his prize down into the water. The golden taur wasted no time recovering himself but when he surfaced, the fish was gone. " Well, fine then! Leave! See if I give a flying damn! "

Willow couldn't help but grin at the boys before attending to the berry bushes she had noticed behind her. Might as well get something to eat...She smiled, a picnic sounded nice. Maybe Rey and Zale would like one as well? She hoped so....and so another blackberry found itself in her small satchal/basket. But...She glanced back behind her. I hope the guys get some fish... After all berries alone wouldn't be enough for a meal.

Reyamet blinked. "'Flying damn'?" he repeated. "What's that?"
Shrugging, he decided to show Zale for the third time, two fish already drying out on the shore a few feet from the edge of the water. "Watch, okay?" he said, not giving step-by-step instructions this time, but just doing. After a few moments of standing as still as a statue, he plunged his hands into the water below, and brought up a wriggling fish, tossing it within a foot of the other two fish on the shore. "Okay Zale, try it again, but this time, be patient!" He grinned at his friend as he left the water to go dry off on shore.

Shaking out his wet hair, Zale watched the fish. He willed the twitching in his body to stop, leaving him a virtual statue in the water. Small minnows swam past his paws but he waited for it. A good sized fish fluttered around him and as quickly as the wind blows, he snatched it up from the water and flung it a good three feet away from the pile. " Alright! " He held his victorious fists into the air and did a little gig.

Willow clapped her hands in delight, "Good job you two." She grinned widely, "Now who wants to go gather firewood and who wants to gut the fish?" She paused, "Or I can just fry the whole thing without any gutting." She placed the basket of berries down. Finding a clear safe spot she outlined a circle in the dirt with her finger, "Let's build a fire here and have something to eat, shall we?"
