Licorice squeaked at Crime's reaction, blushing a little under her black fur. She had no idea Crime would be that excited about the idea. "Sort of - I just know it shows up every few days," she answered. "I'd be happy to take you tomorrow night though!" Licorice smiled then drooped her ears a little as she lowered her gaze, rather embarrassed about what she was going to say next. "I...talk to it sometimes...I don't think it listens, but it's something to do..." She liked talking to it despite that - it was a better conversational partner than her own daughter.

Crime paused at that, giving Licorice a glance, her expression masked behind her beak.
Crime didn't want to tell her that it would not be able to hear her, it was a residual haunting, and they could not interact with anything, which knew if it was even aware.
The best way to describe them was that they were a broken record… playing the same thing over, and over, and over.
But it was still fascinating to Crime, that she would attempt to hold a conversation with it. If it was the right kind of entity… Crime was sure it would derive comfort from it.
Catching that she had been starring she ruffled her feathers again and looked sharply back down at her keyboard
”I’ll have to, Craa, give you a recorder tomorrow then”

"A...re...corder?" Licorice repeated slowly, blinking blankly at Crime. "What is that? Something with cords?" The black and white numa followed Crime's gaze back down to the keyboard, and she found herself wondering what all else this strange device could do. She had the attention span of a gnat and nearly immediately forgot about the "recorder" thing as soon as her blue eyes settled on the laptop's screen once more.

Crime could not help but chuckle at her assumptions, though it came out sounding like a roll of caws. Figuring there was going to be some things that Licorice needed to learn.
"I'll show you tomorrow. Craaa" she said, before noticing the other's attention on her laptop again.
jerking her head to the side as she suddenly remembered the chocolate bunny still cradled in to crook of her arm. she had completely forgot about that. "Craa" ignoring the laptop she shifter to pull the rabbit from her arm. blinking down at it

Licorice nodded and smiled. She was greatly looking forward to the next day, to showing Crime the shadow at the rainbow bridge. She turned her attention back to the bunny she held as well, eagerly nibbling on its ears and licking at the chocolate. "My tree has gumdrops in it. Have you ever tried them before?" Licorice remembered Crime said she had never tried chocolate bunnies before. If she had not had gumdrops either, the black and white numa was tempted to take some to the rainbow bridge for her the next night as a snack.

watching Licorice nibbling at her bunny, Crime slowly turned to hers, not entirely sure if there was a right way to eat them, so she decided to just do as Licorice was. nibbling bits off the ear, and finding that she was pleasantly surprised.
"Craaa" she crowed impressed, and continued to take bigger bits of the chocolate from the ear. glancing up at Licorice as she asked her about another candy.
Crime usually just ate what ever Poe brought her, or what her alternate personally scrounged up while Crime was sleeping. she didn't pay much attention to food.
"Craaa... I don't know"

Licorice's ears and wings perked up at that answer. "I could bring some to the rainbow bridge tomorrow night if you want to try it," she offered. She also knew of a few bunnies which had laid creme eggs nearby which she could steal, something she thought Crime might enjoy since the pretty numa seemed to like the bunny itself. Ideas began to hatch in the back of Licorice's mind - if she could find a basket, she could turn the next night into a kind of picnic.

Crime didn't say antyhing for a moment, listening to the other talk, and then nodded her head with a steady "Craaa"
she didn't often think to bring food on her hunts, though she was often to busy working to remember to settle down at eat. "alright... if you want to." jerks her head to the side, looking down at the bunny, and timidly taking another bite, rather enjoying it. "I'll, Craa, try some..."

Licorice wiggled a little where she sat, very happy Crime liked the idea. She would definitely put together a little picnic if she could find a basket before tomorrow night, wanting to make it a pleasant outing so Crime might want to meet her again after that. The black and white numa had so few friends, she was desperate to make more, and Crime had some very interesting hobbies Licorice was very interested in learning more about.

Crime reached a paw out and started fiddling with the keyboard again. Pulling up a couple more video’s to show Licorice, this time not feeling she needed to explain what was going to happen in it. Wanting her to see it unspoiled for herself. Turning the screen more towards Licorice so she could see better. Then settling back watching the videos contently and nibbling on the bunny.
Crime didn’t even jump as something large and flak suddenly swooped down, crowing loudly as it landed on Crime’s shoulder. Beating its wings a couple of times before it folded them into its streamline body and squawked again
Seeming to even ignore it, her gaze still on the screen, a paw sliding up smoothly to stroke the dark raven. Whose small head was tilted towards the strange Numa next to his master, small black eyes blinking almost indignantly. “CAW CAW” he screamed at her with another beat of his wings.

Licorice watched the screen intently, utterly fascinated with the whole contraption as well as the subject matter. She was so involved in watching, she nearly choked on the mouthful of chocolate she was eating when the large raven dove down to them. She stared at it for a moment, blue eyes wide with surprise. "Um...h-hello," she said slowly. "I'm L-Licorice." Obviously, this bird was a friend of Crime's, so it would not do to be rude even if it startled her.

Crime's smalled masked eyes blinked as she looked over at Licorice, very confused as to why she was introducing herself again.
"... Craa... I know..."
it took her a moment to realize that Licorice was probably talking to Poe. shaking her head a could of times, embarrassed at the mistake she had made. she tilted it to the side, and looked over at the black and white Numa.
"sorry... Craa, this is Poe." she said introducing the Raven.
"he... can't understand what we... Craa say" she explained,

Licorice's ears drooped a little at that. "Oh...why can't he?" she asked, tilting her head to one side. "What is he? I've never seen anything like him before." Licorice looked up at the black thing called Poe again, wondering if she could pet it. Maybe it was a like those other things she saw every now and then accompanying other numas - what were they called...Smudges? Schnoodles? Oh - Smidgeons! That's what they were. Was he one of those?

"he's a Raven" Crime explained reaching up to run a paw over the large birds feathers.
"craa, they are not native here, he was brought over from the human world" jerking her head to the side much like Poe was doing as he observed the other Numa.
"Craa, while they are intelligent for animals, they are not able to understand our Language other then simple commands and Craa gestures taught to them"
tilting her head back to look at Poe, who in turned cocked his smaller head towards her masked beak, pecking at it affectionately.

Licorice's ears slid back a little. She did not quite understand some of that - no, scratch that - she did not understand any of it, but rather than ask for clarification and show Crime how stupid she was, Licorice instead nodded like she understood and looked back to the laptop. She was afraid Crime would not want to be around her anymore if she found out how dumb the black and white numa could be. "Well...he's very pretty," she said instead, wincing slightly at how lame that was.
