Merethist simply sat on the ground for a few minutes, mulling over his sulking. This man was totally not nice!! Not only had he interupted his time with Tamson, he was insulting him. Merethist may have looked like a Princess, but he was no Princess!! He was a man with a perculiar dress sense. Though he doubted men's clothing would look good on him, he was too feminine. Well, if Charming wanted to play that way, Merethist would too.

"fine!! I'm a Princess, are you happy now??" he asked childishly, Ignoring the Prince's help. He was over his strop now and he quite easily walked through the Branches, standing next to Tamson with a decidedly displeased look at the Prince. "and who might you be??" he asked sweetly, smiling as his good mood returned quite suddenly when the little bird he had been feeding earlier, returned to perch on his shoulder.

Charming listened to Merethist finally admit that she was a princess as she managed to walk through the branches with some odd power. He felt a slight satisfaction, but at the same time he wasn't sure about the whole thing. Ah, not that it mattered at all, really. What mattered was that he was right and Merethist had been lying!

The princess now stood next to what looked to be a daffodil fairy of some type. Charming was once again taken aback a little by the sweet little question. This princess seemed to have moodswings or something. Ah, it was the bird. Princesses and birds were two things that went together as well! "I am Prince Charming." He replied. Yup. That should have covered it.

Tamson moved a tad closer to Merethist as the cherry blossom phantom managed to get his way out of the trap of branches. Merethist had now just told the prince that he was a princess and Tamson was almost positive that nothing good could come of the situation. If Merethist hadn't been a liar before, he was stuck now.

Tamson allowed a small smile to grace his face as Merethist's temperment seemed to change after the bird had landed on his shoulder. He then listened, curious himself as Merethist questioned the prince on who he was. Tamson blinked in small surprise. Prince Charming? This guy? He almost allowed a hand to fly over his mouth out of instinct and surprise but refrained. Prince Charming was famous and he was supposed to be, well, Charming.

"I'm a male though, so I'm not a princess in title, only in thought"Merethist chirped merrily, holding his hand out as the little bird hopped into it and fluttered it's wings, chriping merrily. Merethist giggled, holding his hand still as he looked up at Charming when he said his name. Who?? Seriously, Who?? He blinked and looked at Tamson, who looked like he knew who this person was.

"Who??" he asked, giving a cutely blank and confused look. He looked from Tamson to Charming again, utterly lost yet again. He raised his hands and let the bird fly off again, watching it rise into the blue sky with a merry little laugh, he looked elighted and was, his cheeks tinged pink with happiness. He was acting like he didn't know Tamson and Charming were there, Merethist just wasn't bothered about being watched acting childish, it was how he was.

Charming sent a hot look of disdain towards Merethist as she spoke again. How insolent! Explaining once again that she was a male. And now this! For now he'd drop it, though, for he was aware that she was really a princess even if she did act like a petty liar! Some princesses could just go so... infuriating!

"Even if you claim to be a princess only in thought, if you hold yourself as one your manners and actions have a long way to go!" He declared. He then awaited her reaction to his name. She. Didn't. Know. Him? "For a princess, you have some serious issues!" He growled unhappily. She had to be faking! Everyone knew him!!

Tamson watched Merethist as he spoke. He wondered exactly what it would be like to be mistaken for a woman and how he'd react, though really, it was a slight surprise that no one had ever mistaken him for one. He blinked, slightly surprised as Merethist questioned Charming's name. Oh, my. This was going to be interesting.

Merethist thought back hot tears as Charming yelled at him and simply bowed his head, he was being mean!! Merethist hated mean people and he hated negative auras. Charming was giving off a negative aura and Merethist shook his head, tears pricking his vision as he look up coyly at Charming before turning around and fleeing. He felt awful!! Charming was such an awful, awful man!!

Merethist rounded around some bushes and out of sight, running down the grassy path until he stopped in an orchid, rubbing furiously at his eyes. Charming was horrid!! How dare he yell at him!! Merethist sat down on the apple littered ground, leaning his back against a large crab apple tree's trunk and sighed, pulling his knees up to his chest as he thought and hopefully waited out, for Charming to leave.

Charming watched Merethist, unimpressed with the very upset manner that the princess was holding herself in. Merethist now seemed to think that he was pure evil, when it actuality the real evil in this situation was the very way this 'princess' carried herself! Charming had never met someone so very rude as she! That and acting like she didn't know at all who he was...

He watched in obvious surprise as Merethist fled the scene. Who exactly did she think he was? He shot one look at the Daffodil Fairy before picking up the pace and running after her. The running led to an orchard full of apple trees. Charming peered right and left before spotting the 'princess' sitting against the trunk of an apple tree. He now approached her slowly, with a look of obvious disdain.

Tamson watched Merethist run away and watched Prince Charming run after her. He really had np place in this situation anymore, when he thought about it. He allowed a sigh to escape his lips before turning the other way and stalking a calm and paced walk. He was once again alone. He was once again walking through the gardens.

Merethist buried his head in his arms when he heard Charming approaching, very much wishing he could turn invisible. Why wouldn't he just leave him alone?? The look Charming gave him hurt him, he felt useless under his gaze and a little worthless. Merethist knew that it was a snobbish attitude that caused it.

"this is my first time, in the underground" Merethist said quietly, what a grand mess!! He looked up a Charming, tears dribbling down his cheeks and he bit down on a pale blue lip. What was he going to do?? "I'm not a woman, Prince Charming" Merethist muttered. "and if you want me to prove it, tell me how I should" he muttered, on the verge of just showing himself, Merethist had always had trouble with frustrating situations.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 23, 2007 7:58 am

Charming listened to Merethist in what was really a rather disbelieving manner. "I don't know how you're supposed to prove it, but I still don't believe you." He replied dryly. He could see why he'd make a big deal about believeing what he wanted, but he couldn't tell why Merethist cared to... to... either lie or tell the truth so much. Either way it was a little pointless! Though Charming refused to awknowledge that Merethist was male.

For one, that was a little... uh, wrong. Crossing the line! If you were male you weren't supposed to be like that! It was just one of those rules, right? If Merethist was a male, then Charming would be damned! People with anatomy like that weren't supposed to dress like that! And it was wrong if Merethist was a girl, too! Either way, either gender, Merethist obviously had some issues! Charming hated such adrogynous people.

Merethist sighed and stood up, he hated being thought of as a liar, Jay had told him lying was bad. He looked at Charming when the Prince still refused to believe he was male and grabbing Charming's gloved hand, held it firmly as he led the prince back towards the Goblin Castle.

"you'll believe me, i'm no liar!" Merethist declared to Charming, small fingers twined delicately with Charming's as he walked back through the garden's and into the castle via one of the side doors. He was going to show Charming, this was a last resort!!
Up the stairs he led Charming, until he stopped at a light wooden door and producing a key from a chain around his neck, unlocked the door and pushed it open, tugging Charming into his quarters and shut the door with a snap.

His room really made things worse, it was decorated in light, light pink and white. White furniture and a white four poster bed with light pink satin curtains and white silk sheets. It made things look ten times worse. Merethist then placed the key on a dressing table and looked at Charming. "now, i'll prove to you i'm male" he couldn't help it if he was born from a very pink flower!

Charming blinked, slightly taken aback as Merethist grabbed his hand. O-kay. He followed after what he considered to be a princess obediantly, into the castle. He really had no idea what Merethist was planning on doing and he wasn't very sure that he cared. He paused, watching as Merethist stopped and opened a rather large wooden door before quickly tugging him in.

Charming paused, eyeing the room in a very uncertain manner. If he'd had any doubts when it came to his theory they were now banished. The whole room was pink and white! If anything Merethist was merely proving to him further that she was a woman. He raised a brow as Merethist announced that she'd prove she was male. Mmm-hmm. Yeah. He was really started to be a believer in that theory.

Merethist watched Charming closely, surveying his room before he walked over to his dressing table and sat down on the stool there. He then moved his long pink hair so it rested off of his back before he reached behind him and tugged at the criss-crossed pink ribbons holding the back of his corset firmly together.

"look, I'm not a woman" Merethist said defiantly. One good thing about being an Undera, he went around for months with his chest bare, thus he felt no embarrassment showing his chest to Charming. He turned around and lowered the corset, showing his flat, light blue chest. "I'm a male"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 23, 2007 8:36 am

Charming watched Merethist with a raised brow as she loosened her corset. "So you're flat chested." He spoke as she turned around. He wasn't impressed. In fact, he no longer cared! There were plenty of little flat-chested princesses out there, he didn't need to associate with another one of them! This whole thing was pointless - a chest was no proof! None at all! And he didn't care!

Charming blinked in annoyance before turning around. "Good day." He spoke sharply as he exitted her room. He had a social event to attend in any case, he couldn'y possibly be late for it! He couldn't believe he'd wasted his time with such a liar!

A masquerade, rather extravagant, in honor of of the saving of yet another princess by Prince Charming. About a month later.

Prince Charming fell into the dances quite easily with multiple masked princesses and the like. He was really enjoying himself in the current. Princess-saving had once again paid off. Only as usual, he supposed. Thus far he had danced every dance, not because he'd really wanted to dance every dance, but because people knew who he was even through his mask. When people knew who you were, and when you were Prince Charming, you were expected to dance with all the princesses. In case you were their true love or something.

Charming let an inaudible sigh escape his lips as he attempted to fall into the sidelines yet again. Was he really expected to dance with every one of them? He was aware that the answer was yes, and he was also aware that he seriously didn't want to do that. Besides. He'd been thinking lately, really. Mostly about Merethist, he supposed. And... what they'd done. So. Perhaps he was a little... bent. He grimaced at the thought of it. It still didn't change the fact that he'd been tipsy beyond recognition! Yes, Prince Charming had been very troubled lately by things. Things.

The next dance would soon start and there were already several giggling princesses approaching him.

Merethist had been trying to relax in the month Prince Charming was absent. He spent most of his time in the gardens or, in his quarters and had succeeded a little in banishing all thoughts of the blonde prince from his mind. There was a few times it niggled at him, but he was happy enough pretending he hadn't lost his virginity to the womanizing royal. He spent many a day on his own, hidden under the warped form of the cherry tree.

So why had he decided to attend the ball of the very person he was trying to avoid??
He drew his lip between his teeth and bit it lightly, face covered by a mask that matched the scheme of his usual attire. Merethist was trying to keep his distance from prince Charming, at the back of the crowd of onlookers that circled the area in which the Princesses danced with him. He let a breath escape him and weaved his way through the crowd, aiming to go back to the cherry tree and think, when an arm shot out and grasped his own.

"ehh??" Merethist asked in surprise, eyes wide as he was dragged through the crowds and to the front of the crowd, standing just on the edge of the area in which Prince Charming was. He looked to the person who had 'abducted' him and felt a sigh escape him, how had he managed to become a favourite friend to nearly every princess that visited court?? An Elven Princess had dragged him here and she gave him a smile as the group surrounded him, blocking his way back into the crowds. He suppressed a dismayed look.

"Mere~ don't you think Prince Charming is lovely??" one Princess Gushed and he looked at her, before turning his gaze to Charming. They hadn't cottoned on that he was a male.
"yeah...I guess..." he answered quietly and the princesses giggled, Merethist looked a little alarmed.
"coy!! have you even met him??"
"n-no" Merethist answered quietly, blinking. He hadn't told them anything, he knew he'd be the dogs dinner if they found out he had even slept with their beloved Prince.
"awwww, missing out Mere!! let's go meet him now, you might even dance with him!!" one of the girls said and the group squealed, dragging Merethist with them as they approached the Prince together. Merethist felt uncomfortable. For one, he was at the front of the group and for two, it would be rude to run from them, it would also draw unwanted attention. He was stuck and Charming was now right infront of him.

Prince Charming watched the princesses draw nearer, not even really bothering to analyze any of them. It was obvious that he'd have to dance with one of them no matter what. Not really even looking, he approached the one in the front of the group. "May I have this dance?" He smiled in a beguiling manner, taking who he thought to be a princess' hand. Not that whoever it was really had a choice in saying no, for Charming was already leading her - him, to the dancefloor.

He was already conducting all the turns and swishes of the dance as well, being the dominant dancer in the pairing. All the princess he was dancing with really had to do was follow him around in a manner that meant she wasn't tripping over herself. At the best, gracefully. Charming wasn't really paying attention to his dance partner right now in the first place. He was too busy gazing about the ballroom at nothing and no one in particular. Realizing himself a few moments later, he turned to what he believed to be a princess. "You look very lovely." He cooed. Not that he was paying much attention to looks - most princesses were lovely, after all.
