Elisa was walking on clouds. She was much too happy to really speak. Adair really did have a soft spot for her now. A gentleman! He was escorting her home. It was just too much, but she loved every minute of it.

First, she was saved by her savior, Osha, but now this Adair was going to slay her own personal dragon. She was a princess! Maybe some fairy godmother, seeing as every princess has some sort of fairy godmother, would come and make everything pretty since not being pretty was...well not pretty. It was ugly!

Maybe there was hope for Icky! Oh, he could be pretty like Elisa.

Nodding at Adair question, Elisa was sort of having delayed reactions. Brain overloads will do that to you. "Elisa loves all animals. Puppies. Kitties. Umm..." Elisa started as she ticked the animals off with her free hand. "Elisa loves fluffies. Adair like fluffies?"

Ivan smirked once more. A charmer? I guess you could call him a charmer. He was not really a serious relationship type of guy. He was just a casual dater. He never really looked for a relationship. If it came to him, fine. If it didn't, then he would have meet someone else.

He did have one serious relationship but that ended awhile ago...

Before Ivan could reply, he too noticed that the kids were gone. "Oh great..." he muttered as surveyed the area. "They couldn’t have gotten far...right?"

Great. Now he lost the kid. Evie was going to kill him even more.

Adair was grining pretty good himself. Holden was a fun guy, and his best friend but he didn't talk much and Adair's mere presence didn't seem to bring him the joy that his did for Elisa. Adair had a large pride and it was getting happily stroked today.

"Are those fluffy pets?" he asked. Though Adair prefered to be a teacher he didn't mind learning ether. So long as he could teach later. Adair liked knowing things, really did, especially when he could retell others too. For now though he could just listen to Elisa, she had a nice voice, cute way of talking.

"I do love cats, and dogs, are there other fluffies?" He asked, turning his charming smile to her, his ears flicked up though when he heard his name. He turned slightly, pulling Elisa with him as he looked around. "Did you hear that Elisa?" he asked, looking around and realizing he couldn't see Kainda. "Was that Kainda?"

Oh the fox girl could geuss about Ivan's ways. It was something she flicked away. She didn't think it would really matter much. It was his life and as long as he didn't have some girl with him when he babysitted Adair and she didn't care.

Right now she was more concerned with the missing Adair. "Where is he?" she muttered, ears perked up as she moved quickly. "Where do you think they could have gone? There's only so small. Where would they want to go?"

Grinning and nodding, Elisa was being completely charmed by Adair, which she was completely fine with. He was a gentleman, and he understood things. He knew what fluffies, and he seemed to like them as well. This was another big plus in her book. So far, this Adair could do no wrong. Actually, he continued to do no wrong.

She was slightly alarmed when she was suddenly pulled with Adair. She hadn't heard anything, but if Adair did, then she was sure there was something out there. A monster? Mr. Foofoo? Whatever it was, it was out to get them, and they needed to get away. Fast.

"No!" Elisa frantically whispered. "Monster!" I had to be a monster. Kainda and Ivan were having a grand old time. They were probably sitting down for tea at this moment. Of course they were. Ivan always did that for the girls he brought home. He made them tea until Evie come home and either kicked them out or they left on their own. They didn't seem to like Elisa's mummy for whatever reason. Elisa found her quite likeable...

Who else would know their names? It had to be a monster. No doubt, so either Adair was going to have to fight the monster to the death and be her knight and shining armor, or they were going to have to run for it.

Ivan nervously scratched his head as he continued to look around the area. If he was a toddler like Elisa and Adair, where would he want to go? There wasn't much on the compound that would appeal to children. Buildings, the garden, and woods. Nothing to special there...

"Elisa likes tea parties in the garden. Maybe she took him there? Dunno...Where does Adair like to go?" Ivan mused out loud grasping at the short straws he had.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 12, 2007 9:57 am

"Monster?" Adair repeated, wondering if that was true. He shifted slightly, so he was in front of Elisa, eyes scaning the road they just crossed as his wings spread and hair bristled. The wings spread was the double whammy, it covered Elisa AND declared his domiance. He couldn't have his newest friend be hurt by some snarling monster.

"Why would a monster know my name?" Adair asked, his rensonable side rising for a moment when suddenly his imagination took over. "It must be my rival!" He decided, not entirely sure what a rival was but knew it was bad. "My rival would want to hurt my friends now that we're away from our guardians. But don't worry Elisa, I'll protect you to my dying breath!" Adair claimed, jumping into the prince role as easily as he jumpped into the priate role with Holden.

"We should hurry to your place, we'll be safe in there." he decided, turning to wrap her arm around his again as he glanced over his shoulder, ears peaked for that noise again as he started to lead her down the path. "Where's your home?"

Kainda, otherwise known as the monster or Adair's rival, turned quickly to Ivan, then away. " No where really, we've only been out a few times. He doesn't know his way around here....He did want to visit Holden today though. Maybe he went to Holden's place...." Kainda was worried. The compound was big, and easy to get lost in (she should know, she done it several times) what if they were lost in the woods? Would they be able to find them? Could they get hurt? Was the woods safe? Were there animals in the woods? Why didn't she know these things!?

"We need to find them." Kainda snapped. "Now!"

Elisa was slightly alarmed when Adair's wings covered her, but she decided it was good. Adair was protecting her, and she thought it was nice. Adair was defending her from what was coming there way. For her honor? He better. Regardless, whatever this monster was, it was going to have tough time getting through Adair.

Adair had a rival though? What was a rival, and why would it want to hurt them? What did they do? Nothing really. They just said 'hi'. Maybe Adair did something. He doesn't seem like the type to upset a rival though. Adair was amazing, or at least Elisa thought so. Would being amazing upset someone? Probably. It has to be someone who isn't as amazing as Adair.

Shaking herself out of her deep thoughts, Elisa simply nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, Elisa's house." She frantically looked around trying to find the gardens as a reference point. "There," She started as she pointed in the direction. "Elisa lives near the gardens."

Holding his hands up, Ivan began shaking his head incredulously. Um. Yea. Of course, they had to find the kids. Who knows what was out there, but whatever it was, the children would probably find it.

"Well...if he wanted to go to Holden's, maybe they went there?" Ivan didn't know this Holden or where he lived, but he must have lived on the compound, right? There were only four to Ivan's knowledge. They could check every apartment complex until they found them. "They must not have gotten far. We'd see them if they headed to an apartment?"

Probably. Maybe. Hopefully...?

Adair would down right pern if he knew Elisa's train of thought. His over active imagination was working now and he had a maiden to defend, a rival to beat, and there was still the cat waiting at Elisa's house. Well he could, and would handle it, after all a friend was at stake.

"Adair lives near the the forest." He told her, adapting to her way of speaking; not as a placating thing, or even a mocking thing, just a trying it out. Adair loved the way Elisa spoke. It was cute and differante. Adair liked things that were different, mostly because he was and nothing he did would change it, so he accepted being different and seeked it in his friends too. "Funny huh? You live near flowers and I trees." he said happily, loving that he found a connection, at least it was to him. Trees were kinda like the more manly verson of flowers.

"We'll go this way, and protect ourselves in your home, Elisa, then I'll scare the mean cat away so we can play in your room." Adair decided, starting to loose interest in the rival as other plans went into his head. In his heart of hearts Adair didn't really believe there was a monster out there, he just liked to play games, especially pretend ones.

"Depends on how they try to get there. If they go though the forest..." Kainda didn't even want to finnish that sentence. The forest was so easy to get lost in, and if they didn't stay put it may take forever to find them. God she must be an awful guardian, she bearly had Adair for a few weeks and he got himself lost! And she didn't even notice!

Elisa smiled back gently despite her fear of the monster or rival or whatever it was. She loved living near the gardens. It was pretty, and it had lots of colors. Pretty colors. Pretty flowers. This was the place for Elisa. She was pretty, so she needed pretty surrounds. A place near flowers definitely a pretty place.

She was also just happy that they were escaping the danger that had been presented to them. Elisa didn't want to get dirty. Facing a rival or whatever, it just seemed like it would be dirty job and being dirty was icky. Elisa was too pretty to get dirty.

"Yes. Yes,"
The small girl declared happily, bouncing slightly. She wasn't sure which way he meant when he said that they'd go "this way", but hey, Adair could lead the way. If Mr. Foofoo was scared off her bed, she didn't care which way they went.

Ivan chuckled slightly to himself. Elisa in the woods? Now that would be sight to see. The girl hated to get dirty, and that would just seem to be a place she would deem "icky", but then Ivan remember that time when Elisa and Osha were playing hide and seek. Elisa actually DID go into the woods and ended up getting stuck in a log...

"Come on. Let's just start looking somewhere..." Ivan said as he went off in one direction.

Adair had no real idea where he was going but he lead the way none the less. He was good at that. The gryphon child kept an eyeout for flowers though and kept on the path. He luckily lacked Kaindra's inablity to find things. He didn't get lost very easily, the combination of an egale and a lion made him feel very comfortable in both the air and onland. That he actually attempted flight yet.

It just hadn't come to him was all. Everyone he knew walked.

"Are we getting close to your house?" Adair asked after a moment, looking to the girl and grinning. She really was such a nice girl. He was glad he had another friend. He liked making friends.

Kaindra glanced around, then followed Ivan. She didn't want to be alone just at this moment. It seemed better, far better, to stay with him. Especially since she got lost at a moments notice. She'd rather not get lost herself while she was looking for Adair.

She hoped he was okay.

Placing her dainty index finger to lips, Elisa gazed about the area and nodded quite happily towards the boy. "Um hmm. Um hmm. Elisa's house is over there!" She enthusiastically chimed pointing to the near by building. Much to her surprise, there was already someone there waiting for her.

The woman had short auburn hair that wound into wild curls. They were surprisingly tousled about her head, seeing as the woman always tried to keep a clean and neat appearance. She most likely just came upon a destroyed and vacated house.

"Ivan!" The woman screeched as she stamped her loafers on the walkway.

Ivan couldn't help but perk up at the sound of Evie's death call. Who couldn't hear her? She could be pretty loud when she wanted to be. Regardless, Ivan knew that this meant that Evie was home, and she was out to kill him, even more so when she found out he lost Elisa.

Great.

Ivan glanced over at Kainda and gave her a sheepish grin. "Me sister must be home..."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 10:32 am

Adair moved quickly to the house. He was eager to be a hero, and to play with Elisa's toys. He'd have to invite her to his house. He was sure she'd love all his toys. He had a lot of them, and they were fun, or they could pick flowers. He knew she'd love to pick flowers. They were pretty, like him and her.

But then the young gryphon saw the woman. He pulled to a stop and looked at her a little confused. He didn't know who she was, he didn't know people lived with more than one person. He only lived with Kaindra, and Holden only lived with Tristian. He didn't know other people were different, but then the woman screamed.

Adair's wings spread out quickly and he jumpped infront of Elisa, claws beared, a small growel in the back of his throat as his ears went back. He would protect her! Even from an adult. He made sure his wings were spread wide, both to make him seem bigger and to hide Elisa.

He didn't want her hurt.

Kainda turned as her ears flicked at the noise and she looked around, bitting her lip, "Well, then she can help. Come on, lets go break the bad news to your sister." she said firmly, wanting to know where Adair was NOW.

Oh yay! How exciting! Mummy found the mess that Icky did! Now he was going to get into so much trouble! Elisa couldn't wait! She really loved it when Icky got yelled at. He deserved it. He was an uncivilized oaf and always did naughty naughty things. Of course he deserved to be punished~!

Placing her hands on Adair's shoulders, Elisa tried to peek around hoping that she could witness the punishment. Icky was always pretty funny to watch when he got yelled at. To her dismay, Icky wasn't there, or at least she didn't think so. There would have been more yelling by now.

Phooey.

"It's okay," Elisa began as she whispered to Adair. "That's Elisa’s mummy."

It still was quite flattering that this Adair was so willing to protect her. She was growing to like him more and more. He was a gentleman, he protected her, and he had wings! This was just wonderful~!

Ivan couldn't help but cringe at the suggestion, even though it was the best idea that they had. Go see Evie? Oh no. He was going to willing throw himself into the lion's den? Ugh...Just great. Well...he was had to face Evie sooner or later. He just wished it was later.

"She must have just gotten home..." Ivan replied shrinking bit. He was so not looking forward to this. "We live over near the gardens...It's this way." He continued pointing down the opposite path. "Let's go tell...Evie." He finished with one final gulp.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 11:38 am

Adair blinked what Elisa's whisper, and the growl was dropped as sudden as it was taken up. His snarel turned into a charming grin as he did what charmed Elisa. He gave an elegent bow to the woman and then stood up happily.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." he said quickly, "Sorry I groweled but I wanted to protect Elisa. She's my friend and I don't want anyone to ever hurt." he said firmly, giving that lovely smile up to the woman.

If she didn't love Adair then she had a heart made of stone. His wings folded back and the small day who one day could be quite scary was all charm and smooth words. They weren't line though. He meant it. He was ready and willing to protect Elisa, because he didn't want her hurt and he was sorry he groweled at her mother but his friends safety came first in his mind. After all, someone had to protect them, why not him?

Kainda wasn't blind, she saw how Ivan would have prefered to ignore it. Under any other circumstances she wouldn't have pushed him to do something he obviously didn't want to do, but this wasn't any other circumstances. She needed to find Adair, now. What if he was hurt, or something was wrong? Or he was lost, scared and...

Kainda shook the thoughts from her head and followed Ivan, forcing im to keep on going.

Elisa could feel her head swimming. Adair's smile was just...yay! It always brought out this weird fluttery feeling in the pit of her stomach. She wondered what that meant, but Elisa was happy to just deal with it since it made her giddy in some odd way.

Prince charming...and he had wings!

Evie could tell that Elisa was having fun playing with her new friend. It was cute. Apparently, Elisa was getting along with this child quite well too seeing as there was no screaming or devious looks upon her face. Elisa was enthused to play with him...and slightly spacey...

Stooping down to get a good look at the children, Evie returned the smile with one of her own. "Nice to meet you as well. I'm Elisa's mum." Protecting Elisa, eh? What were they up to? Maybe that's why Elisa was a little dazed. "Well since you two have had a rough day, let’s go inside?" Ivan could wait. The children were surprisingly alone. Alone...Ivan left Elisa unattended to. Oh….He was going to get it.

Elisa happily clapped her hands and bounced a little. "Yes. Yes. Let's go~!"

As Ivan ran about the compound, he hoped that they would stumble upon the kids somehow. It would make dealing with Evie a lot easier...

"There's the building right there!" He yelled as they neared the gardens.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 20, 2007 12:26 pm

Adair smiled winningly at Evie and nodded quickly in agreement. He had some lost points of earn back. Now he was sure that Evie didn't dislike him but the only thing that Adair would truly hate would be for someone t be indifferent to him. He could handle hate, envy, scorn and distrust but indifference? That meant he didn't matter at all. Oh no, he was going to make Evie love him, and it would be simple. He just needed to be charming and teat Elisa wonderfully. Then what could she have to argue against?

"Oh yes ma'am. It's a pleasure to meet you too. Our day has been quite pleasent actually. At least mine. I met your wonderful daughter." Now that line might have been to much expect...Adair meant it. He was really glad that he met Elisa, she was pretty, and cute and fun to hang out with. She loved his wings and he could make her swoon. It really was wonderful. She loved him, so he in return gave his own love. "But I must protect the fair madien! There is an evil creature in her bedroom. I'm going to scare him away." Adair bragged gallently, his tail twitching in pride as his wings spread a bit.

Kaindra nodded as she moved a bit faster. Her legs quick and nimble from her many outdoor sports. She ran as fast as she could until she arrived, before the group escaped into the house. The kitsune was panting up relieved at the sight she saw.

"Adair! You're okay." Kainda sighed, bending down and hugging the gryphon blend tightly to herself.

"Bleh, yes, get off Kainda!" Adair ordered with useual boyish dislike of hugs and kisses and cooties. It also completely ruined the gentlemen image he was trying to give. Gentlemen weren't embraced tightly by their mothers, at least not in public.

"What did you think you two were doing!? Running off like that!?" Kainda demanded, in a sudden change of temperment. She pulled back and glared down at her little boy. "You can not, I repeat, can not just go off without telling us where you're going Adair. I was worried sick! What if you've gotten hurt huh? How could I have protected or helped you. Adair I'm you're guardian. I need to know where you are so I can guard you."

"I don't need protection." Adair pouted. "I'm strong, and brave, and smart. I can protect myself!" He was about to start ranting to her when Kainda cut him off.

"What if I needed help?" she demanded, changing tatics. Fine, let him believe he could fight off anything. He'd only have that arogence for a little while, why kill it? "What if I had needed you? You weren't there Adair. I need to know where you are so if I need you, I can find you. Next time tell me, just have to tell me. Then there will be no problems. Okay?"

Adair was still pouting but he nodded slowly, "Fine" he sighed.

Elisa and Evie both grinned widely at Adair while Elisa added an excited hand clapping. Adair really was a cute kid, and he referred to Elisa as a fair maiden. How awesome was that? You couldn't get much better than that, and Elisa was completely enthused. She loved playing this game, but she specifically loved being called a fair maiden.

It made her feel pretty.

Before either of them could respond in anyway, Ivan and Kaindra made their grand entrance. Elisa was slightly taken back and cocked her head to the side. What was Adair's mummy so worked up about? She and Ivan were playing, and Elisa and Adair decided to play elsewhere. What was the big deal? They didn't run off anywhere...They just walked away.

So what?

Oh well. This was getting boring now, and Elisa still wanted to play with Adair. Mr. Foofoo was still hoarding her bed.

"We go?" Elisa said pouting as she walked over to Adair.

Ivan wasn't let off as easily as Adair. Evie simply stared at him with a fierce malice burning in her eyes. Though, she refused to snap in front of the children.

"There. All better, yes?" Ivan laughed sheepishly, trying to break the tension.
