Indra made sure to stand beneath her so if she fell he'd be there to soften her fall, at least a little bit. He smiled at the way she took so naturally to it. I mean, of course she was still awkward in her movements, but it would improve with time. It was like teaching a cub to climb.
"I told you its not bad! You might even grow to like it in time." Indra noticed her chanting and had to keep himself from laughing at it. For all of her gruff demeanor, she was rather like a child when faced with new things.
"Okay, when you get to the branch you want to rest on, dig your claws into the branch just like you were climbing. Slowly walk your way onto the branch. Its a little hard to get your balancing right, so make sure you take it easy." Balancing on the tree branch was probably the hardest part of everything. The branches tended to bounce underneath you, and there wasnt that much to walk or move on.

"Perhaps." She didn't think she'd ever be all right with going into water except for when she had to take a bath but after those few times she was fine with it. It could happen with this as well. Denise glanced at the ground, blinking a couple times before looking up again at the nearby branch. She was so far up.
She reached a paw up and rested it against the branch and dug her claws in. "One down", she whispered. She moved her other front paw onto the branch, digging in her claws once more. "Two..." She moved her back paws up more and her front paws further up the branch. It was time for the first back paw. She began to move it up onto the branch when she slipped.
She hung there, her back legs dangling with her front paws clinging to dear life. She shot him a glance, no way was she going to beg for his help. She'd just dangle here till he went on his own accord, much easier that way. Or not, as her front paws began to slip and dig marks into the branch.
Denise tried to pull her body weight up but no she was too weak. She glanced down at him again. Having pride was fine and all but no way was she going to die because this male managed to convince her.
"Well I'm stuck." Why did that have to come out like a whimper? She tried once more to pull herself up, this time one front paw slipped off the branch completely and then the other followed suit. It took the breath out of her, falling. She couldn't even scream or shout or whatever.

Indra had to laugh a little bit about her situation. She had been doing so well too! Oh well, you didnt really ever learn how to climb a tree without falling at least once. Unluckily for Denise, her first time falling coincided with her first lesson.
He was going to try and reach up and stabilize her back legs so that she would fall, and Indra could help her down nicely. However, she tried to pull herself up again before he could tell her to hold still.
Still, it was better for the both of them this way anyways. Indra was already halfway up, standing on his back legs when she fell, and without thinking he made a mad grab at her waist and tried to twist so he would fall backwards, cushioning her blow and taking the brunt of it himself.
