The boy nodded quickly in understanding and touched Elain's face lovingly. "I-I-I wa-want to fi-fi-fight... To ma-make my fa-family be u-unash-ashamed of m-me..." Once again he hugged his angel to his chest, swaying back and forth slightly.
"Ca-can you he-help me de-design an e-entry ph-phrase fo-for her?" He sat down on his bed and patted beside him for the other boy. "I-I-I ca-can't think of a-anything g-g-g-good."

"...entry phrase...?" Mika was surprised. It's the first time he heard about it. Does he need something more to use her? "...just, what is that? I'm afraid I'm not that well informed about this whole...battling stuff..."

The boy blinked as well. "T-the entry p-phrase is w-w-what you u-use to a-activate yo-your a-angel... Uh... e-example... Y-you mi-might sa-say... Uhm..." He paused then picked up Elain, clutching her with determination. "S-Show th-th-them t-true g-grace! Go Elain!" Then tossed her like they did on the TV. "Th-then the ba-battle wo-would st-start."

"....Pretty stupid idea, if you ask me. Like in those cheap tv dramas..." Mika sighed. "...Is it really that much needed? I'd probably make up something stupid..." he giggled. "I'm not too good with words."

"Y-you ca-can't do a-anything wi-without it." The boy pointed out with a frown. Did he really think it was stupid? He thought it was kind of neat. Like a signature. Ailein rested his head back on his pillows and tinkered with his doll. "No-not go-good wi-with wo-words?" Ailein snorted a slight edge in his voice. "Ca-can't b-b-b-be an-any wo-worse then m-m-m-me."

"Then I'll have to think about it later." Mika sighed. When he heard the last sentence, he raised his eyebrow. Completely no self-esteem. He shook his head, and cuddled Ailein's hair. "It's not that bad, and I actually think it's kinda cute." He smiled. "But I can understand that you might feel not too good about me saying so. Sorry."

Ailein grabbed the hand away from his his hair and tugged it trying to get him to stop. He blinked when he realized he'd tugged to hard and that Mika was going to land on him. He 'oof'ed when the other landed on him and felt his face heat up. "Uhm...." Well this was compromising.

'Ouch...." Mika closed his eyes tightly when he was falling. Now opening them slowly, he saw Ailein's neck. Poor guy, hopefully he didn't hurt him or anything...
"Um...sorry about that..." He said, slowly fixing himself back to sitting position. "...Are you okay? Sorry, I shouldn't have said that..."

The boy sat up slowly and gave a sheepish smile. "It w-w-w-was m-m-m-my f-f-f-fault..." He responded, the blush still darkening his face. He stared closely at Mika and felt a warmth in the pit of his stomach, the same one he felt when he met him. "W-w-would yo-you m-mind... b-being m-my b-b-best fr-friend...?" He whispered, lowering his eyes. "I... do-don't re-really ha-ha-have an-any f-f-friends a-at all and.. I re-really l-l-like you..."

Mika smiled slowly at the boy. Poor, poor Ailein... Just what in the world made him like this? He couldn't help, but reach out for his hand and squeeze it softly.

The contact made the boy's face redden more, if it was possible at this point. "R-really?" His smile returned as he finally met Mika's eyes. He wrapped his arms around the other boy and hugged him tightly. "I've n-n-never ha-had a b-b-best f-f-friend be-before..."

...what's with the hugging? Was he clingy? Oh well...You can't say it's unpleasant or anything, can you? Mika smiled, and also hugged the boy.

Ailein smiled peacefully then finally pulled himself away from Mika. He brought up the angel from between them and stared at her brown eyes. "D-Do y-you t-th-think th-that I-I'll b-b-be a g-g-good fi-f-fighter?" His eyes trailed over the angel then locked on Mika's, a fire burning there that hadn't been present before.
