"I eveny you, 'Naci, for growing slowly. You were giving more time to enjoy your youth. I was not. It was over before I knew it. I wish I could have spent just a few more days in blessful youth. My size hasn't helped. Your are quiet lucky. Your sizw qill always allow you to reamin youthfull." Atum smiled softly to 'Naci.
"The cooling nights are a change for me, and they are quiet refeshing...Though I am the son of one who came from the heat of the desert so I am more comfterble within the heat.

The lackadaisical days of her youth had turned ‘Naci into what she was now, a bit on the shy side and a bit of a biting temper with those she didn’t know. Not that the mare meant her sarcastic edge, just getting to know others tended to be hard when you mostly played in a field with your mother. Two amber eyes lifted up to his with a bit of laughter behind them, “Ah but at a certain age, people will begin to think I’ve shrunk, no?”
‘Naci lived in constant heat, the tug of war between her mane and the cool weather was always refreshing for her. Although July’s pesky oppression rarely bothered her. Winter was just a novelty, “Tell me about your mother?” Was that too forward a question?

"If they do say that to you, I will gladly trample them for you." He chuckled softly. Why would others make fun of 'Naci? He didn't see the reason.
"My mother?" He was a little surprised with such a question. Sorta left feild but...Atum shruged to himself. "My mother was treated poorly by the members of her last heard, begin the only one with wings od the winds. She became cold and distrusting of others. Once they could they had her shipped her. As far as I know after she fought with a stallion and ended up meeting my father. She has only really opened up to him, out side of her family. Even then...Since me and my brother and sister grew up she has become a bit cold again. She is still loving and all though." Atum had no problem talking about his mother.

She laughed lightly, the glow of her flames making it rather easy to navigate the trails even in the darkness. For being a “b*****d” daughter, ‘Naci had often felt a bit out of the loop. Her adopted father was a mutant that lived alone in the barrens. (Well, as alone as he could manage.) The thought made her smile a bit… Her mother had been doting and loving, but protective.
‘Naci listened curiously as Atum told of his family. Little things like that entertained her to no end to learn about and listen of. Whether it was a bratty younger brother or the father one always had hero-worship for. It served it’s purpose to listen and to feel happy. “You must know that your mother loves you though. Working through trauma such as that probably became harder when you all became the size of the ones that tormented her so.” It wouldn’t make it right, but hopefully Atum wouldn’t get to where he held harsh feelings for his mother icy temperament.

"My mother would give her life for me. If anything she is worried more about Isis, my sister. My sister is just like my mother was. Silver tougned, cold and harsh. My brother looks just like my father and left as he soon as became of age....My older half-brother seems to have his eye on a mare so he is not around much...I have heard my father speak of another daughter of his, sibling to my half-brother but I have not met her. It's quiet funny, how I act nothing like my parents do." He chuckled again. He was unfazed at all.

The listing of other’s personalities made ‘Naci listen up carefully. If her and Atum became friends there was always the slight chance of meeting up with him again and then he’d have family.. Well, maybe. Knowing what to expect would give her a certain.. Head’s up!
“They all sound so different, but I’m sure they’re wonderful fer ye ter live with.” For awhile ‘Naci had spoken softly enough that the burr of her accent had hidden itself rather nicely, but with volume she settled into her voice once again. Lovey teased her mercilessly about it occasionally. “Me mam.. Ye’d like her. She’s motherly ter boot an’ a bit on the.. Fluffy side.” That was a bit of an understatement.. But who would know the difference?

"When they are around. Isis is usally off teasing the local stallions and my parents like to go on walks alone so I'm left to find others to talk to, maybe make friends." He explained to 'Naci. "I'd love to meet your family, sincing on how it might be hard to catch mine in the same place at one time." He smiled brightly to her.

Ignacia told herself to store the name “Isis” because that had to be his sister. She smiled slightly and thought of her other sisters, none by blood, but who was counting? All of them seemed to be so busy, yet the smile that came to her face with their memories was instantaneous. “I’m sure they’d be happy ter meet someone new.” Well, her daddy wouldn’t be all that pleased with her bringing home another stallion, but uhm, that wasn’t really the point of this now was it?

Atum smiled warmly. "Over protective father? My parents...Once we were able to look after ourselves they told us we could come and go as we pleased...Go meet friends, make enemies...Find love." He chuckled softly. "Like that would happen to me." He shook his head a little, still smiling. "Ah, but I feel so selfish for speaking about only myself and my family. If you would like to, care to tell me about your family?"

The over-protective family remake made ‘Naci grin for a moment. Azu probably would lock her in a cave til old and ugly if too many stallions came close. Well, at least when she had -just- become an adult. The mare could handle herself now. “Don’ feel selfish fer talkin’ about yer family. I fin’ tha’ the most selfish are the one tha’ only want ter talk about themselves an’ nothing’ o’ family ‘r friends.” Only a few she had met were like that.. All of those Soqs irritated the mare.

"I wouldn't want to bore you to sleep with my tales. I know my family is different yet not very exciting." Atum was too modest to tal about himself though he could listen forever hearing tales about others. He caught himself starting to hum when it was silent. He and his siblings were all singers, like their father.

“On the contrary.. Yer family stories make me smile an’ pay attention.” His humming was pleasant and the flames of her mane and tail seemed to quiet too just to listen along, “Ye kin hum well, so kin ye sing?” As for herself.. ‘Naci wasn’t too sure. Her accent was rather thick and that in the end could probably end up being her downfall. A mixing of words or a bumbling of something that nobody but her followed would serve for nothing else but being embarrassing.
“I have a faint … faded memory o’ me dah singin’ ‘n’ me mah sang ter me’n’me sisters.” Thought that singing was probably only sweet because they all adored Lovey.

Atum's black fur was the only thing keeping 'Naci from seeing that he was blushing. "Yes, I can sing. My mother tells me I have the voice of my father and that we sing like angels. My father is a famous singer and me and my siblings have all been given that ablity..." With that said, Atum stopped walking a looked up to the rising moon. Now that he had told her about his voice, he might as well sing for her. "I don't beleive I can sing that well but...
Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation. Darkness stirs and wakes imagination. Silently the senses abandon their defences
Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendour. Grasp it, sense it tremulous and tender. Turn your face away from the garish light of day, Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light - and listen to the music of the night...
Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams! Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before! Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar! And you'll live as you've never lived before."

Her amber eyes held a bit of an odd glow because of the darkness and the illumination her mane provided. “I canna say I’ve tried…” Her voice faded off a bit when the song began to fill the air around them, quiet but with a certain ring and power that ‘Naci figured meant he could go a whole lot louder if the mood was fit. When the final work rang out around them she nudged his shoulder shyly and smiled, “Tha’ was lovely. How can ye think yer singin’ is nae good?”
If she sang half as well… getting the silver-blue mare to shut up would probably be a trick.

He blushed a little when the mare nudged his shoulder. "I've been singing all my life...My father is the Angel of Music, so his love for singing was pasted down to me and my siblings. We all sing." He explained to her, what he though was the reason to his voice. "I've never..Well..sung for anyone before. Only when I'm alone or with my family." The stallion confessed to the mare. She was different that others he had met. Their was just something about her that comfert him like a mystery, which in turn drew him to her. How..Odd.
