Tovi smiled as Brasa stated he had a place in her tribe. Acceptance wasn't something he felt often, and he savored the feeling with a soft, content sigh. He couldn't help but laugh as the fire girl lit another elf aflame. "Having fun?"

"If anything, my mom's the unstable one," he mused, twirling a strand of bright blue hair around his finger. "But she just tries to make the best of her situation, I guess..." Biting his lip, he wondered how his mother was doing at home, and if his father had returned... 'If he did,' he thought, 'I hope he didn't do anything to Mom...'

She quirked her eyebrow before finally flicking her hand. The elf, who'd continued to stare, screamed as he suddenly found himself bald. "Idiot." She muttered. "And it is considered an challenge to stare without introduction." A natural breeze blew across her skin, and it turned white, before becoming tinted blue. The baked ground increased in size.

"Instability is fallacy. Fire," She tossed her hair upward, and it blazed before settling onto her shoulders again. "Is the incarnation of unstable." She snarled. "I said stop the ******** staring!" She torched the elf's robes. "Cultural differences, fine, but you were bloody well WARNED!" She snarled. She was hot enough that when she stood, she didn't need her sandals to move. Instead, she zoomed through the air, burning the air itself as she charged the male. Just before her outstretched hand would have burned off his head, she stopped. "Stare at me again, I will burn out your eyes. Consider revenge, and your life will be feed my own." The elf fell to the ground, fear causing him to pass out. Across his eyes, twin Xs were burned into the skin of his eye, not enough to scar, just enough to hurt.

She snarled at the rest of the coven. "If he is careful, it won't scar." She leapt upwards, burning the air until she was far higher than most had ever gone, until she was far above the air line. There, she let her anger explode, a thunder crack and the small sun swirled for a moment, before collapsing into itself and returning into her skin.

She touched down on the baked circle. "Sorry about that. What's this about a situation?"

Tovi watched in awe as Brasa took out the elf that had been so rudely staring at her, and exploded high in the air - or airless sky, as she may have been located. Watching the stunning sun-girl settle back to the ground, he was tempted to applaud, and gave in. After a few moments of clapping, he realized she had spoken again, resuming the earlier conversation.

"Um," he turned faintly pink. "Well, my dad... wasn't so nice to my mom when he was around. He ran off around a year ago, but for all I know he could've been back to 'visit' her a few times..." His slender finger made swirls in the dirt under the dead grass, thoughts wandering to his father and his behavior in the past.

Brasa's eyes narrowed, but she dropped the subject when she heard a familiar screech in the air. A hawk landed on a branch in the tree above them, its wings flared out, its tail feathers spread as it screeched again. She laughed at it and turned back to Tovi.

"What do you suggest for classes?" The hawk screeched again, but she ignored it. It swooped down and glared at her before turning its gaze to Tovi and chirping. "Looks like Luft likes you." Brasa commented.

Tovi tilted his head to the side. "I'm not sure what to suggest... I'm usually horrible with that kind of thing. Any sort of advice-giving, I fail miserably." He blushed rather brightly at this. 'Lord, is that the truth.' "But I've been told I'm a good shoulder to cry or lean on, or someone to just talk to... not that anyone's really talked to me besides my mom." More crimson crept its way across his slender cheeks as he realized how truly ridiculous that sounded.

Watching the hawk fly down and chirp at him, he blushed a little more and smiled nervously. "Luft? Lovely name..." He observed the hawk carefully before sending a friendly breeze in its direction. "Nice to meet you."

The hawk chirped, fluttering her wings before hopping towards him, lifting one foot and grabbing Tovi's finger, moving it up and down before letting go.

"I don't have a mother or a father." Brasa let out a smile. "I'm not even a humanoid being. I just happen to like this form. I was born in the fires of Mt Leeran. All of my tribe was." Luft headbutted Tovi for her. "I think you're interesting to talk to, even if you need a bit of fire in your veins."

Tovi smiled at Luft as she wiggled his finger in what appeared to be a small handshake. Looking back up, he gave Brasa a curious look. "Then... don't you have a family? Or is your tribe one big one?" The concept was a little strange to him, because he had been raised so closely with his mother and rarely saw other people. He vaguely remembered a few of his mother's friends, and a strange boy who had been his father's assistant sometimes... His train of thought was interrupted by Luft headbutting him, however.

"Oh. Really? No one's ever said that to me before..." As usual, his cheeks took on their bright blush quite quickly.

"My concept of family is my tribe. I would say there are probably about twenty fully sentient elementals, and numerous smaller elementals." She smiled a bit, her hair flicking in the breeze. "Our concept of Elder would be the equivalent to your mother or father figure. We have three at the moment. They are elementals of great wisedom." She grinned. "Volcano is our tribe leader. Trespassers deal with him."

She set Luft's feather's on fire and the bird let out an indignant squawk before going up in flame. Moments later the bird sifted through the ash and glared at her. "Well, I've always been called odd by my tribe." She was one of the only willing to part from the Elders to explore the world. She was infected with what Volcano had called wanderlust.

"Big family... that's amazing." Tovi listened intently as Brasa described her tribe. "If someone 'trespassed' in my family, they'd have to deal with my mother." He laughed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know whether they'd be intimidated or not. Maybe she just manages to scare me cause she's my mom." Chuckling, he watched Luft glare at her amusedly.

"My mom calls me odd. But she's odd, too." He laughed. "Like when she gets upset, she starts baking. She forbids me from swimming, too... and I've no idea why. I imagine I'd be quite a good swimmer." His slender fingers wrapped around his chin and his thumb stroked his cheek in thought. "Hrm."

"I can't swim, obvious reasons." She smiled and waved at the simpering elvin male as he scrambled by.

"Elemental, I think we found something you can look at!" A voice boomed out to her. She sighed before slipping on her sandles.

"Come with? You can tell me what sucks and what doesn't"

Tovi nodded and stood, cape swirling around him. He toyed with a bit of wind around his fingers and tilted his head, smiling warmly at her with his teal eyes glittering. "The teachers are the only people I really talk to, so I can recommend a few," he said with a small laugh.

Trivinia walked slowly, taking everything in. This place had everything she could dream about, without the judging eyes of the humans on the outside. Her wrist felt naked without her image modifing charms, but she felt more free than she had since she'd come to this sad little planet.

School? When was the last time she'd been in a classroom? After what had happened -- But no. Not now. She wasn't going to get sad again. That's why she was here. To get away from everything and start over again. Or finish... She wasn't really sure yet.

As she approached the gates, she was reluctant to leave the forest. She'd felt so at home there... But as the gates swung open wide of their own accord, she decided to walk in. Taking a deep breath, she resituated her messenger bag on her strong shoulder and walked in, her lupine tail and ears perky and alert.

She looked through pure snow-white hair at the other creatures that were roaming. Elementals.... Centaurs... Elves of all colours... Was that girl on fire? Hm. This should be an interesting year. No one paide much attention to her, despite her lanky gait and golden eyes. She wasn't used to being commonplace in a world where normality was extremely important. Heck, how often did you see a wolf demon from Talisin out and about on Earth? Not often, if you're wondering.

Now then. To find a place to sleep. She began to look around, perhaps a sign that said "Hey, Get Your Bed Here," or something, but there was nothing like that posted. Stepping close to a human-eske girl, she tapped her lightly on the shoulder.

"Miss... Might I enquire about -- ah--" Triv paused, stuttering as the girl's eyes met hers. They were dark pools of pure black. The only white in them was reflected from the sun. Clearing her throat, Triv continued. "Forgive me. My name is Trivinia. I was wondering about --"

"I know of you, Trivinia," the girl's voice cooed, soft and smooth. It barely seemed as if she was speaking at all; it sounded much more like singing. "I've heard of your people in my land. You're looking for admissions, correct?"

Trivinia raised her gaze from the ground. She'd come here looking for peace from curious eyes, yet she couldn't help but stare stupidly when she saw someone different from herself. How much more of her had her time with Humans poisoned her..? The girl in front of her laughed lightly.

"My name is Moya, and do not be embarrassed. You're not the first to have been startled by my appearance." She offered a hand to Triv. "Come, let me guide you. These halls can be confusing to a newcomer.

"Pardon my rudeness, Lady Moya, but where are you from?" Trivinia took her hand and let Moya guide her through throngs of students and supposed 'mythical' creatures.

"The Humans call it Hell. I'm a demon, just as yourself." Moya's dark grey hair was loosely tied up in something resembling style. Perhaps the Underworld didn't get many models..? Unlikely.

"I've never seen demons like you on Talisin..." Talisin was Trivinia's homeworld. She hadn't been there in years, however. Many adventures had came and went since she'd last seen her family.

"Oh, but we're there. Who do you suppose guides the souls of your dead to their resting places...?" Suddenly, Triv wanted to yank her hand from Moya's grasp, but she held tight... Perhaps tighter than intended. Moya glanced up at her. "Don't worry, my dear. I'm not guiding you that way just yet." Triv nodded, though still uncertain.

"So... You're like the demon equivalent to the Grim Reaper, correct?" Triv hated making such pathetic connections. Her mind was truely dampened by her time was Humans.

"That is right," Moya said, without noticing Triv's uncomfortableness. "We take the souls of those who have died and lead them into the Underworld. It's a simple job, but there are those who will fight us to the death, so to speak." She laughed at her own sad joke. "Pardon my small talk. You're the first who's talked to me that has run away as soon as they've seen me. I'm just savoring the moments before you come to your senses."

Now Triv really felt bad. "I know what you mean," she said with a sigh. "Humans are so simple-minded."

"Not just Humans... Most creatures fear my race. Of course, I would as well, if seeing me meant you've seen death." She turned a curious eye to Trivinia. "I'm sorry for your losses."

Triv looked down. "So it is true then... The others are--" She didn't finish her sentence. She didn't have to. She didn't want to. She felt as if by not saying it made it possible that this truth was false, even if it meant lieing to herself for another day. Moya simply nodded. "The Underworld is not as bad as Humans make it out to be... Sure there's fire and brimstone and the like, but it's not like it's going to hurt you. You're already dead anyway." Noting Triv's pained expression, Moya's grin faltered. "Forgive me.. I fear I've said something very insensitive."

"No, it's fine... I just--" Triv paused to wipe away something in her eyes and Moya finished for her.

"You miss them." She slid an arm around Triv's shoulders. "The pain will ebb, do not fear. It's-- Well..." She sighed. "It's sad. I'm a creature of death and I can't even comfort someone..."

Well, now you're stuck with a Fire Elemental to talk to." She flashed a smile at him, which was little more than a curving of her lips on her flaming form. "You get to deal with my temper, but on the upside, I won't fry your hair."

"Already causing trouble?" The headmaster appeared at her elbow. She withdrew to a safer distance. "We do have rules here."

"Which is why i warned him to stop. I don't like being stared at." She snapped.

"A male adolesent will stare at your form." The headmaster commented. She looked down at her frame.

"What is wrong with my form? I mastered this form years ago. I do not see why they would stare."

"They are humaniods, as are you. You just happen to be naked by our standards." He held open the door for them.

"Elementals don't wear clothes." She retorted. Her hair flared brightly in her temper, though it remained the same length.

"I know. They don't. I've met a rather friendly water elemental once. It was disconcerting to be greeted by nude minotaur. They are just unaware of what you are."

"Well, I'll just burn them until they realise who's stronger."

Tovi bowed respectfully as the headmaster appeared, then quietly watched the conversation between him and Brasa. Following them wordlessly, he laced his fingers together behind his back. He looked mildly insulted at the headmaster's comment about males staring at Brasa's nude appearance, as he had done no such thing himself, but protesting to the headmaster was another thing he would not do.

A small laugh escaped his smiling lips as Brasa insisted she continue burning whoever happened to stare at her.

The headmaster sighs. "Is the Mt Leeran Clan all as tempered as you?" He said mildly. There was a smile on his lips and in his eyes though.

Brasa smirked. "I'm actually one of the more level headed of the Clan. Which is why the Elder ones sent me. They thought I might be able to tolerate fleshlings."

"Fleshlings? I haven't heard that one in a while." He opened another door, this one made of stone. It lead to the massive fileroom, where papers and books of countless ages were stored. On one of the clear tables, a single book rested. "That is one of our course books, spelled to keep updated. It was made for a young dragonet who couldn't control his fire breath. See if it stands the test."

Brasa touched the book. When it didn't light fire, she picked it up. However, after a few moments, it started to smoke. She hastily put it down. "Plantlife is so fragile, thier corpses more so." She muttered under her breath.
