Marxist_Revolution_Now Alvin Row Marxist_Revolution_Now Alvin Row Marxist_Revolution_Now flowergirl01 for that price get a music man sting ray. They are pritty good from jazz sting ray or sub's are really good jazz basses. I say don't buy anything off the internet....I bought a 5 string off the internet and it sucked. that's because it was a 5 string. rofl lol, no it was a crappy brand. I had to get one n e ways cause i'm in a death metal band and some of our songs need that extra low b..... could always get high gauge strings then drop the e, but it's fully opinional, and i respect that.easier to just buy a cheap 5 string. but i'lll look into that, the b string tends to get in my way a lot.... Never sacrifice your playing style for your musical style. I would play a 4 string in death metal. You don't need to play the lowest notes ever for that kinda music. but you can get an ultra thick gauge string set, and tune to drop D, or even drop C. I like to play higher stuff on the bass acutally, I usually act more like a guitar in the ways of sounds.

i havnt played that particular model or even godin before. i have played on some really high end basses before like fodera and roscoe basses at this place in the minneapolis area so i have a pretty decent knowledge of how a bass feels and to be satisfied, you really dont need to splurge on the godin. try the ovation acoustic bass. i think its the celebrity model or how ever its spelled. i was really really satisfied with it and if i had a bit of extra cash i might splurge on it. on top of all that, its half of what that godin would cost. remember, not all the time in music gear do you get what you pay for. you dont have to spend alot of money to be completely satisfied with your moneys worth. just go out and find a good deal. i got a warwick double buck 4 string in perfect condition for only like 700 bucks! thats half of what its worth new!
