Alucard climbed back up the ladder to continue his search for the book that contained the spell he wanted.

Loralei's bottom lip stuck out in a pout at the treatment she was receiving. "Hey, no fair, I was always nice to you when you were little Alucard, why won't you be nice to me when I'm little Loralei, huh?" She whined a little bit, and tears came to her eyes. "You don't like me do you?"

Clement looked up, having heard what the girl said under her breath. "Ah, assaulted by a man, you say?" His voice became very stern, and he stared at the duo for a moment. Realizing that one of them was in fact male, he rushed forward and pressed his hand firmly against the boy's stomach, aiming to push him back into the bustling crowd.
Turning back to the girl, he said "If you want, I can lead you to the back door of the store so you can ditch this guy."
(( I can imagine Clement having a 3nodding face. XD ))

He stopped, then looked down and rolled his eyes, "It took you long enough to figure that out.."
He turned around and leaned back on the ladder, "And, I have no obligation to be nice to you, stupid girl."

"Fine. Meanie, when I get big I'll be sure to be extra mean to you. I'll give little Alucard lots and lots and lots of sweets!" Loralei grinned at him, watching the older Alucard pulling books off of the shelves. "So... whatcha looking for anyways?"

Emileigh glanced at the man in disbelief. "Are you serious?" She sighed. "I love how men think they can insult me and then try to be nice..." She shook her head, heading into the shop.

"A teleportation spell to get back to my family's territory so I can solve this stupid curse... and if I'm lucky I might be able to get away from you," Alucard shook his head, "You really are annoying..do you know that?"

"Thank you!" Loralei giggled lightly, carefree. "I love being annoying! That means I'm angering you, and that makes me happy. It's what you get for being mean to me." She smiled. "I hope you never find the spell. That way, little Alucard will never have to leave." She smiled impishly.

Alucard twitched and raised the book to throw at her, then he pulled it back to himself, remembering what happened the previous times he tried to attack her. He didn't want to screw up his chances at solving the curse by slipping up and turning back into his younger self. He growled, "I hope you die a horrible, 'horrible' death! Brat!"
He put the book back and then pulled out another one, quickly flipping through the pages in a frantic attempt to find the right spell.

"EVERYTHING!!" Alucard shouted. He slammed the book back in its location and pulled out another one and went through it, but then he flipped it back and stared at the page, "..."
He smirked down at Loralei, then he moved his eyes back to the page and ripped it out. He put the book back and jumped to the ground and proceeded towards the exit while folding up the page.

"Hey, you're not gonna leaves a little girl all by herself are you?" Loralei flapped uselessly after him. She sighed in frustration and floated to the ground, breaking into a run, and only succeeded in tripping over her own clothes. "Aww, man..." She began to cry from the skinned knee she received. "It... hurts..." Loralei blubbered.

"Heh, good! Suffer!" Alucard laughed before stepping out of the library. He looked around for an area where he could perform the spell.

He turned around after hearing Loralei's voice, but her words weren't completely audible, and all he got out of it was 'why' and 'you', "Figures.."
He walked off, leaving Loralei in the library.

Loralei watched him go. "Fine, I don't care. When someone kidnaps me, you'll be sorry. And then big Loralei really will hate you forever and ever!" She sniffed as she turned her attention to her wounded knee.
