Atae sighed heavily. "Well... the books are up on that bookshelf over there. I hope you... find what you need." And hope what you need isn't what you want. She would have liked a chance to get to know Al for herself. Too bad... but she wasn't going to try and force him to stay. She wasn't sure if she could, even if she was inclined to it.
"Tell you what... if you need anything you think I can help with, you can leave a note or something at that shack outside. There's a loose board in the wall above the little table in there. I'll check once in a while, see what I can do."

Alphonse bowed his head in thanks to her again. It was about the only way he could think of to express his gratitude.
"Thank you very much, ma'am." He said to her before turning his attention up towards the books, curiously glancing up at them. The younger Elric brother suddenly leaped off the ground, a spring in his step. He clumsily flapped his wings at the same time to propel him higher, grabbing onto the shelf to haul himself up. "I hope I find what I need, too. Look out below."
Without another word of warning, the blonde Kitsusagi male began pulling some of the books out, letting them crash to the floor.
“I'll definitely let you know if I need anything.” He grinned. “Though with General Mustang's organizing, I shouldn't take too long finding the book I need. My guess is that he would keep the more dangerous ones out of reach.” He was about to make a comment about his brother and height, but decided against it.
“It's a pity I couldn't stay,” He said finally. “If you wanted to learn more about Alchemy, I could teach you. If you're interested in it and you can do it, the hardest part after that is only learning about it.” He nodded down at her. “Thanks for your help, though.”
The youth returned his attention to the books, thinking hard. Did he really want to go through with the crazy outrageous idea he had? Did he really want to go back through that Gate all over again? A heavy sigh escaped him – best to find the book first, before he made that decision for once and for all. He would stay there all night if he had to.

Atae smiled softly. "Just Atae, Al... heh. Ed's actually older than me... ma'am feels weird." She just sat and watched quietly from the door as he started pulling books off the shelf. I took her a minute to figure out what he was doing. "Er... try knocking on it. Make sure the back panel doesn't have any hollows." Another moment of silence. "...Stay safe, Al. That's all I ask." That said, she finally stood up and padded away. She thought for a moment about trying to walk to Trel's place and tell them... but somehow she knew Al would be gone by the time she got there, much less got back. That whatever was playing out right now had to play out for things to turn out the right way in the end. She didn't have foresight like Seer did... but still these gut feelings she got usually seemed to be right. One thing she could say though... she suddenly felt more than tired enough to go to sleep.
