"I didn't think it polite to start trying to put food into it," Jaye muttered defensively. "It seems too much like force-feeding." She grimaced.
At Carlisle's comment about it not being a squishie and being alive, Jaye quirked a brow. "Then what is it?"
Almost mechanically, the remaining daifuku was dropped into the cantaloupe-ish orb, followed by a pop and the disappearance of the treat. Mental note: It eats.

"Well, if it didn't want it, it would have spit it back out." She sniffed, sticking her nose in the air. "And sometimes you have to to get someone to eat. So don't feel too bad." The Grand Cross felt so sorry for anyone who bothered with manners anymore. It was simply impractical.
She shrugged at the last question. "A living squishie?"

"True," Jaye sighed. Really, was she the only one who bothered with niceties like that anymore? Seemed like it. "Well, now I know that it does in fact eat. I won't make the same mistake again. At least I found out this early and it was corrected."
"A living squishie," Jaye repeated. "I suppose that's the easiest way to refer to it. Easier than looking for some detailed scientific name."

"Which you will do. If it's gone and tied itself to you with that red stringy thing, then it's probably going to become something and you'd better know what it is by the time it becomes that something." Carlisle stopped outside the room that usually held at least a couple mages, peeking in and saying something to the residents. "Are we clear, Lady Jaye?"

I'd better start hitting the books then. Who knows how long it'll take me to find out what this is in relation to how long it'll take this thing to grow into something, Jaye thought. "Aye," she conceeded. Her tone was emotionless and carefree. She knew better than to argue with Carlisle on the matter. She doubted it would have gotten anywhere.

Carlisle turned perky at both responses. As the mages filed out, she smiled happily at Jaye and hugged her and the squishie tightly. "Yay, I'm so happy we're of an accord. I'm gonna go force Lady Raven's secretary to come bungee-jumping with me; you wanna come?"

Jaye was slightly startled at Carlisle leaping at her and hugging her and the squishie. She still managed a faint smile. "Force Lady Raven's secretary to bungee-jump with you." She laughed. "That should be amusing."
[ Is the roleplay done for the most part, or do you want to force Jaye to bungee-jump continue? ^ ^; ]

"Alrighty, let's put the squishy somewhere safe and then go find her. I think she's in Lady Raven's office..."
[I think we are now done.]

Jaye grinned. "Okay. We'll keep it in my room for now. What better place to leave it?"
[ Okay. I'll go finish my diary entry (I'm basing it off the roleplay) ]
