Long story short ,the man known as Slade in the comic books goes by Death stroke, his real name is Slade Wilson. He lied about his age, joined the army and was really good at shooting at what not. But his instructor was a pretty woman and she was a better shot than him and they well in love and had a son named Grant.
Slade went back into the army and they did experiments on him which made him really fast and strong. Slade had another kid with his wife, and the son was named Jericho. At some point Slade secretly became the assassin for hire known as Death stroke the terminator. Some guy who Slade crossed some how kidnapped his five year old son Jericho , trying to get information. Slade, do to his code of Ethics refused to give the information , figuring that he could stop the guy before Jericho died. He was half right. He stopped the guy from slitting the boys throat all the way but the boy was mute from then on. His wife , having wound out Slade was a mercenary and was willing to gamble with his son’s life divorced him.
Slade adopted a stricter code of ethics and refused to take a job from the H.I.V.E to kill the teen titans. But his other son Grant, took it , because for no reason known to me, he thinks the titans ruined his life. Grant ended up getting him self killed and Slade, wanting to keep his son’s honor, took up the contract. Also Slade had sex with an Asian princess and ended up having a daughter named rose, who for some time he did not know about.
