"Many have found their way to my locker through me and the sea" Davey could tell Raistlin couldn't care much about so he decided to get to the point of why he's here "So might I be askin what was worth your sufferage you mentioned earlier? I find it fascinating that one would give up health or life for something, it must be quite valuable to you." Davey said this off handedly as to not raise suspicion.

Raistlin watched Davey. He'd been waiting for the subject to come up for a while now. "Mmm back on this subject again" He said with a sly smirk, which was hidden beneath his hood. Since his power was something that Davey couldnt take, what was the harm in saying it? "During a test, i was approached with an offer. Health for power" he held his golden staff closely "And...a few other things" he said with a smirk

"Ah I see" Davey said leaning back in the booth, he took a drink from his mug "What kind of power might that be?" There were lots of kinds of power in the world, wealth, influence, magic, if it was wealth like the golden rod, something that could be possessed then Davey would be most interested.

Raistlin leaned forword, his hood slipping to reveal his hourglass shaped orbs. A sly smirk spread over his maw. "Now Mr.Jones, i may be new here, but i'd not reveal that to a stranger" he said with a light chuckle.

Raistlin chuckled lightly, and was sent into another coughing fit. This one lasted longer then the previous, and only after multiple sips of wine and his tea, did it subside. He winced, having now tender ribs and stomach muscles. "Ah, the price some pay" he said softly, licking his lips and dabbing at the blood on his maw.

"Aye" Davey nodded taking a drink "Yeh don't think I was born like this do yeh? I know too well the cost some pay" He finished the drink and slammed the mug onto the table his tenticles curling into his mouth so he could suck the froth off of them "Eh! Barkeep! Nother round!"

Raistlin leaned back, taking comfort in the shadows once more. "Mmmm, everyone has a secret." He said with a sip of his wine "What did you trade, for your seafaring power" he asked with a flick of his tails

"Trade? No, I was always one for da sea, mah skill was never in question... I gave up meh looks for freedom. The greatest treasure any pirate... nay any man desires." He sipped his ale, looks were of no importants to him whomever's they might be.

Raistlin nodded. An old memory stung at him. The Abyss. Oh how he yearned for freedom during that time. Takhisis was an unforgiving goddess, and despite his greatest attempts thus far, he was only mortal after all. "Freedom...for some its unattainable." he glanced at The Staff of Magius, and the deal he'd made. "Some its just a matter of a handshake" another sly smirk "The Master of Past and Present, has many secrets indeed" he chuckled.

Raistlins eyes flared, but settled once his mind took control over his emotions. "Some cases...are different." he said sipping his wine. "Being locked in an Abyss, with a tormenting dark goddess is more of a, no choice senario." he said with a wry grin.

Raistlin flinched un-willingly. His slender fingers traced the rim of the wine glass as he thought. "A portal" he said at length "Opened by a priestess" How long had it been since his mind had travelled to Crysannia? Turmoil. Was she here as well? In this world. Or was she still at her temple in Krynn? Bah, he shook his head. Enough thoughts of women."Seems like so long ago...." he said softly.

"And what or who persay persuaded her to do that?" Davey had thought the answer would be 'I found a way to...' which would support his theory that all had a choice in the matter, but perhaps he had persuaded the priestess to let him out? That would still support his theory
