While he was distracted with his thoughts, his answer caused Johari's ears to twitch, her hopes falling a bit with the reply. Once again she worried that she had upset him, but this time caught herself. Don't fret over it, stop being so paranoid. It's probably just not the happiest of topics, and... oh!
"Muroki..." She replied quietly at first, daring to move close enough, brushing her head against his, encouraging. "You shouldn't let that hold you back... Some things are worth the risk. None of us would be where we are if we didn't make those sacrifices we used to think were unbearable... If you change your mind, I'll support you either way." She smiled a little.

Conflicted, there was only one thing Muroki was sure of - his friendship with Johari. Even though that was a little confusing at times he had faith in her. Was hard to imagine that they'd met not so long ago. His tails twitched at the idea. Imagine going for a whole moon without at least one walk with her, he dared himself, but Muroki didn't want to.
"I'll think on it, dear one. And like for like, if you ever need anything I can help with, support or otherwise - I'll be there." Looking at her now, he was worried he'd upset her.

"I know you will," She smiled a bit more, the gesture a happy and trusting one to accompany the softly spoken words. "You're a good friend."

"You are too. And you know what?" He returned the smile, and reached out to nudge her shoulder as they walked. Then Muroki sped up, with one playful bound forward. Time to lighten the mood once more and hopefully this little trick'd work.
"You're also It!"

The female listened, ears perking softly as he spoke, waiting to hear what he'd say next. At his tag she thought at first for it to be a playful gesture, like her family used, but was quickly proven wrong when he bounded off all of the sudden. She was a bit astounded at first, but being one of many siblings, she'd seen this game played, and taken part, many a time. The look of surprise turned to one of mock threat-- "Wha--? Hey, Muroki! That's cheating!!" (She laughed) --and with keen reflex, she was off after him in an instant.

"Alls fair in love and war!" He called back, as he darted into the long grass, plouhing through the tallest stems. Muroki was ready to dodge and duck. To tag and chase. To have a good time under the sun while he could with Johari, before it was time to think-too-much once more.
