i actually liked the death note dubs... nothing was changed at all, the whole dialouge was more of less the same adn the woices were ok

I'm auctally dreading the dub premiere of Death note...
I'm sticking with manga...
*hopes for a non sucky dub*
The trailer was quite painful to watch though... I hated Light's voice X.x

Well seeing how that trailer did not have the offical dub voices and it's ONLY purpose was to show you that that translation will be loyal there is nothing to worry about.
That trailer does not use the shows offical dubbed voices so do not judge the dub by it. Give the dub a chance say five episodes which is what I give the Japanese versions as well. Really the voices might be good. Just don't judge the dub on a trailer that does NOT use the dub voices.
That trailer was made before the cast was chosen. It was made just to show fans that the translation would be uncut and nothing else. It was not suppose to be the voices, that was NEVER the plan.
The Death Note dub will probably be very good. Ocean Group is a very talented group of voice actors.

My little brother loves Death Note and he has trouble reading subtitling so I'm excited for the dub. I really hope the voices fit biggrin

im really not on anybody's side... but Light is really smart... a normal human being can't do this kind of stuff -_-

Nothing wrong with thinking that but don't force that opinion on your brother. He may not find dubbed anime ruined just because you do. One mans definition of the word ruined is not another's. In my opinion most dubs are not ruined. That is because most dubs have decent to good voices, have the original story, a good translation, no pointless edits, the original music, and so on. There are some ruined anime but I believe they are few and far apart. Of course if you believe that all dubs are ruined more power to you.
