Mahala thought hard. "Aka'an... Ooo! I've met her! Very... Socially awkward." She nodded. "I don't really know her, though. We talked once, and I haven't seen her since. I doubt she's found other friends. She's way too shy." Shrugging, she debated on the definition of 'looking at'. It could be multiple things, but she decided to go with the most sensible meaning. "Well I'm looking at you. And you're looking at me. Or is that not what you meant?" She hoped that she had chosen the right definition, for she didn't want to seem dumb to him.

Thalasso smiled as he heard her say that she knew Aka'an. He soon got discouraged when she said that she hadn't seen her around. "Well, hopefully I'll meet her again, someday." He looked at her as she answered his question. It wasn't what he meant. Maybe she doesn't want to tell me. He smiled. "Yeah, thats what I meant by it." He turned around following a path that led through the forest. "I've never been down this." He looked at Mahala. "Shall we go explore?"

Mahala wasn't quite sure about the path. She, too, had never been down it before, and she wasn't exactly the adventurous type. "Sure..." Quietly, she said, "I wish Kaven was here..." He was her only real friend, and they had known each other since they both arrived at the Temple. With this, she started down the path, keeping an eye out for snakes and other creepy crawlies.

Thalasso looked at her, he could tell by her stance that she wasn't to happy about this trail. "It's fine, I'll protect you." He looked away and back down the trail. "So, tell me about this Kaven guy? Who is he?" He wasn't a big fan of snakes, but bugs he could handle. He could see some openings that led to other tail, but he decided to stick to the main one. He would scope those out later.

Mahala lightened up a little at the mention of Kaven. "Well, we've known each other since we came here. We even call each other bestest friends, still." She giggled at the thought of the fun they had when they were cubs. "We used to play tag all of the time. I don't think we ever really played anything else... It was so much fun, though. I've only seen him once or twice since we've grown, though. I kind of miss him." Nodding, she thought for a moment. "So tell me about Aka'an, Mr. Water. I'm sure you two had fun when you were cubs?"

Thalasso nodded as he though about Aka'an. "I think I was the first one she ever talked too, although it took some time. We used to have some fun I guess. We climbed a tree one day, she loosened my paw and I almost fell off, but I caught my self." He remembered how scary it was. "I just put on a smile and laughed, I didn't want her to feel like she had tried to hurt me. I would do anything to see her again though." He caught himself talking about Aka'an too much. "Sorry I went on about her."

Mahala smiled comfortingly. "Nonsense. We all go on about the ones we like. Feel free to talk about her as much as you'd like. I don't mind." She swatted at a few spiders hanging from their webs as she walked, her obvious distaste for them showing. Letting out a short, bearly audible squeak as a snake slithered by her, she hid behind Thalasso, staring at it.

Thalasso smiled as Mahala hopped behind him. "It's okay, it more scared of our roar than anything. They don't like loud noises." He got into a ready position and pounced close enough to the snake, letting out a vicious roar. The snake slithered on faster as it disappeared into the forest floor. "Just remember that." He looked back over at Mahala.

Mahala nodded and drilled it into her head so she wouldn't forget it. "Okay... Thanks." She giggled lightly at her cowardly behavior, shaking her head. A light blush was barely visible behind her white and purple spotted coat, caused by her own embarassment. It was then that she noticed that she hadn't tried to roar since she grew. She decided to put it off until she was alone, that way if she failed she wouldn't feel stupid.

Thalasso looked at her as she giggled. "My roar isn't that girly is it?" He said, joking around. "The next snake we see, you wanna scare it?" He wanted to make sure she got over her fear of snakes, they were still frightful but you needed to know how to deal with it. "It's okay to be scared, I'm still scared of insects. Creepy, crawly, little things."

Mahala shook her head. "It's not that girly, but it could use some work." She grinned at him, but it quickly faded as he asked her if she wanted to scare the nedt one. "No thanks. I think I'll keep my distance." Nodding quickly, she giggled lightly. "Insects? I don't like them, but I'm not scared of them."

Thalasso rolled his eyes. "Okay then, but it's really fun." He crouched down in a playful mode. He stuck his tongue out when he heard the word insects. "There just creepy and slimy. I have to say, they are fun to play with." He looked down the trail. "Shall we continue. Maybe theres another stream near by, or maybe even a waterfall. Who knows?"

Mahala debated for a moment whether or not she wanted to continue. Nothing terribly bad had happened so far, so she decided that she would. "Sure. Bet you I'll beat you there." She darted off ahead of him down the path, looking back every once in a while to make sure he wasn't too far behind.

Thalasso looked at her. "Hey, you cheated." He jokingly said. He darted off after her in an attempt to beat her to.. well somewhere. "What are we racing too?" He yelled as he tried to gain more ground on her. He didn't know what was down here, and by the looks of it, she didn't know anything as well. Thalasso just hoped that nothing bad would happen.

The B'alam skidded to a hault, stepping to the side as to make sure Thalasso wouldn't run into her. "I'm not sure, exactly... I don't really know what's down here." Peering down the path that lay ahead, Mahala thought. What if there was a cave? A dark, cold, spooky cave with bats in it? She cringed at the thought. Perhaps there was a beautiful waterfall, with rainbows and temples, like those she'd heard about when she was a cub. Even though she'd love to discover them, she wasn't sure if she wanted to find a cave. She began to get a headache from being unable to decide.
