*smirks*

She thought Val was an amusing kid, but still like the others, nonetheless.

[Kat]

"Oh, nothing to it. And, don't worry, kiddo. You're not late at all."

*points at the clock*

"A good five minutes before class starts. Oh, and... consider yourself lucky. You've already given me a good impression about yourself. It'll help, because I'm not very fond of students."

*keeping the smirk, she eyes Val a little longer beofre she looked at her class*

Speaking of her class, it wasn't much compared to the other classes. Only a few groups of students were present. A group of bored yet tough looking ones, both boys and girls, sat in one part of the class, seats away from the rest, a small group of chatting and laughing boys in another, and a group of the serious kind of girls up front.


[Kat]

"Some of 'em... begged to be put in other classes."

[OoC]

Tick, tock, tick, tock went the clock. The students in the class minded their own business. It seemed that everyone had a group to stay in, besides Val.

A minute before class started, the doors were closed, and silence filled the room. The laughter of the boys stopped, the chatting of the girls ended and the doodling of the students in the far side eased. They all looked at their teacher for the year.

[Kat]

*stands up quietly, hands on her desk, a serious look on her face, as her eyes glued themselves at the students*

"OK, So here's the deal. For all of you here, it's fifteen minutes of getting to know everyone. I don't really bother to know any of you, but as the faculty asked me to, I've got to know you wether I like to or not. And I don't, but I take my job seriously. We're going to have battles, fights, all that, and we might as well know who's failing, who's doing a good job or who's heading to the school clinic."

*sits back down, looking through the papers that lay on her desk*

"You're all going to have to get along, especially with me because, like I said, I'm not fond with students. It's just my job to do all this."

*she looked around the class another time and points at Val*

"You. Start. Here, up front."

[Kat]

"Hm? Ah well, say whatever you want to. I told you I didn't really want to do this. We're gonna go out to the fields, anyway, to show off what we've got."

*takes out an orange book and reads this*

"If you'd like it a surprise, go ahead and go back to your seat. I suggest you do, though, so I can see if this class's weaknesses each has a strength to cover it up. I don't like weaklings. They're the ones who switched classes before they actually started."

[Kat]

*eyes Val then eyes a red head from one of the boys*

"Your turn."

[OoC]

The boy looked at her with a frown. He stood up but stayed in place, his face slightly just as red as his hair.

"Why don't you introduce yourself to us first?" he asked, angrily, then added, "A teacher should introduce herself first. It's just not right. It's like you-"

He didn't get to finish, though...

[Kat]

*sigh*

"I thought you'd know me already, judging by what the older students would say about me."

*does not stand up as she eyes the boy who sat back down then eyeing everyone once again*

"You brats can just call me Kat. If I were to discuss myself further, even of my powers, I wouldn't. I don't like any of you, nor do I think any of you like me at all. Another thing is, I don't care, but I have my pride. I don't like losing. The end."

[OoC]

At this, some students looked at her with disgust, some with ennui. No one liked her, true.

"I'd like to go next..." said a boy from the far side.

[Kat]

"Go ahead."

*watches the boy introduce himself just as she did with anyone who came up front and did the same*

Time passed by once again and the students finished introducing themselves. Most of them only spoke out their names, while a few but a good number of them told their powers and showed off their weapons.

[Kat]

*looks at the clock*

"Right on time."

*smirks, standing up*

"Alright class, if you haven't seen it yet, what is behind this school is a vast field. Yang has one behind them as well. After the introduction of each student to one another, the classes of Yin goes out the back to have a taste of their class's strengths and weaknesses. Each class has a spot in the feild. Students of the class spar with students of the same class for a start. We discuss what we need to fix and what we need to maintain. And then... there's more to that."

*walks to the front door of the classroom and opens this*

"I'll give you more information outside. We're wasting time here. Follow me."

*exits the room*

And her class followed...

[Kat]

*stands proudly in front of her class for how amazed they looked*

"Mighty pretty isn't it? We spar and train here, but this is mainly for the students. You can go here during breaks, train with your friends all that jazz."

[OoC]

For the first time, there was life in the students of Kat's class. Girls and boys whispered, chattered on. Oh how excited they seemed.

[Kat]

"Anyway, you guys want to know why we're here first? I'm always here first with my class, every year, while all the other classes are still introducing and having fun. I just like action, so I don't bother with the introduction. Like they say, actions speak louder than words."

[OoC]

Some students understood this and nodded, seeing that they liked action, too. They readied themselves and their weapons.

"So, uh, who goes against who first?" asked one student.

[Kat]

*smirks that infamous smirk of hers*

"Oh, that's the fun part."

[Ooc]

Through the curtains, sunshine seeps in and greets Crux. Disappointed that summer ended and school is already here, he gets up. The silver crossbow glistening in the sunshine is picked up by him. He heads for school without much enthusiasm except for auditions for the archery team.

[Crux]

"Great, first day of school. Whoopie..." *sarcastic*

"Oh, well...there's hope yet. Archery team, here I come!"

*runs to yang school*
