Well I was speaking for myself in that sense, though I do see what you're talking about. Most people when I talk about Suikoden they don't know it, so they compare it to a well known RPG series *coughfinalfantasycough*, and would automatically assume it wasn't that great. Yet people don't seem to understand sales figures don't necessarily speak for the quality of the item being purchased. I've played dozens of Final Fantasy games and majority of it was a repetitive motion in their storylines and gameplay as well. Although Suikoden has kept the same battle system formula (except for III) since it's initial release, the creators always managed to make something new and fresh for the player to enjoy. Plus, I don't know there's less hype surrounding it than what Final Fantasy usually gets when a new game comes out, and I usually tend to hate hyped up games. I'm not saying Final Fantasy is bad, but the hype for it at times, and the rabid fans. . . I would like to avoid as much of that as possible.

Konami will start advertising Suikoden when Suikoden starts reaping in teh cash.
