Canis Lupus the LoneWolf Ace Paladin SuperJawes2112 HistoryWak The games themselves don't even have a ball parked release year let alone any exclusivity announcements. We won't know for sure till we get a least a ball parked time of the game's release date. Exactly. As for what Ace said, I disagree. Square is and WILL do a lot with Nintendo, as the last few years has shown. However, FF XI and at least one other Square title is already on 360. While it may be reasonably assumed that no other Final Fantasy game will appear, Square has set a precedent, and it is very possible that FFXIII will appear on both -- even if it's Release+6 months. What I meant was, if Square was to leave Sony, it'd work with Nintendo. I know Square games are on the 360, but I personally don't think Square and Microsoft will ever have the relationship it has with Sony/Nintendo.I wanna find something I've wanted all along.... Same here, That's what I've always been trying to say. A majority of Square's fanbase lies within the Nintendo and Sony fanbase. It would be kind of dangerous to put out one of their main franchises so quickly. They'll have to see how the different games they release on the 360 do. ....Somewhere I belong People are already giving the 360 the stereotype of being mainly for shooters which we can all agree is wrong but people who have that opinion about it and buy a 360 for mainly shooters believing that's what it's mainly for won't necessarily be in the market for FFXIII, FFVII, and Kingdom Hearts III for on that console. Know what I mean?

As we've seen from past examples, all three companies have great games from all possible genres.
I think Square is trying to attract the dedicated RPG fanbase... they're not going after everyone and there brother trying to get them to play RPG's. Maybe Square will be successful with the 360... considering the lack of RPG's on the system.

That's what I mean. You don't see someone buying a 360 to play RPG's because of that lack. Because of that dedicated RPG fans aren't going to see 360 as a console worth getting for RPGs. You know the dedicated RPG fans are going to look at what console that can satisfy them most in that department. There are many people who judge a console based on the amount of a certain genre on the console. Viking a few days ago or whatever judged each console based on whether it has good shooters or not. Believe it or not there are people out there who do that. More than you think. We don't know an exact number obviously so let's not discuss how many does and doesn't. Quote: For every prejudice person.... there's lots of literates/educated people who know the capabilities of a system, i.e. what games work on it. I know that. I never said there was more nor did I insinuate it.

What I mean is, for every person who is like "OMG111 SH00TERZ111" There's many more who are intelligent enough to debunk a stereotype. Same thing with Wii. You and I didn't buy (me: am going to buy) Wii because of its party games. We aren't the only intelligent Wii fans.
As for Square, I was replying to Canis when he said:Quote: They'll have to see how the different games they release on the 360 do. It'd be perfect for Square to release an RPG on the 360 because of it's lack of them. Square's games are good, and it'll really only have to compete against one or two good RPG's.
All in all, a console can have its stereotype, but at the end of the day, there's a slim percentage of people that only play one type of game. You'll have people who buy Wii as a party console and the 360 for its shooters, but you'll have many more fans who buy it for its different types of games/variety of good ones.... and also it's already established success.

Here's a response to your sentence. Ace Paladin HistoryWak So he's gonna buy the most expensive console for a total of 3 games?! He's a fanboy. There's no other justification for his thought processes. xD lol

LOL Well there are projectors built into EVERY room...and I think most of them have component input, meaning I only need to make sure my sensor bar reaches to the screen and is close enough biggrin As for your 360 games, Mass effect looks like it has a nice story, but I would definitely suggest looking into other games before buying a 360 for them -- as you undoubtedly know.

I wasn't trying to be stereotypical, just saying that if they plan on releasing an FF on the 360, they should take it slow and see just how well an RPG will do for the majority of the fanbase. Like you said, an RPG will be good for the lack of ones it has, and it would be a good test, I just think it will have to be well established before they release something like FF on it, even if like every FF has nothing to do with the other. ....Somewhere I belong

While it might not be FFXIII or SO4, 360 now has an exclusive Square RPG made by Tri-Ace. Something called Infinite UnDiscovery.
Unfortunately this means that the poor game is going to bomb in Japan. Even FFXI, which is really popular in Japan, bombed on 360. People actually pick up the PS2 version and PC versions over the 360 version.

Many Japanese were buying the 360 for Blue Dragon.
