"Mahakali... allow me to introduce two of my children. Hiashi'ikusu, and his sister, Moto'Zari."

Azula looked to Ashi, giving him a small nod of approval for successfully locating her. Zari received a passing glance as well.

"Children, this is Mahakali, a general of War."

Coming up alongside of her brother and mother as well, Zari looked up at the lioness before them, taking in her frightening appearance with wide eyes for a moment.

Kali's gaze was drawn to the male cub, red eyes meeting those of the smaller creature. It was clear from Azula's words and her posture that this was the cub she favored. Had Kali been the type to favor appearances she would have seen a reason for that favor in a single glance. He was a handsome young creature, his striking markings reminding her a great deal of both her father and the god of war but in a brilliant fire red.

However Kali was not one to place stock in appearances or blood, it was the strength within that she valued, a trait that even the most handsome of lions was worthless without. Did this young cub and his sister possess that worth, or were they to be as disappointing as the rest of the fallen pride?

"Unusual markings, I would have expected no less from their father."

She had not spoken it outright, but her tone could not be mistaken. She knew Mrost was the father of these cubs, and that knowledge did not affect her opinion of the firekin lioness.

A smirk on his maw, Ashi looked up at his mother in what was the closest to a gesture of affection he would ever show. He gave no such look to his sister.

Hiashi'ikusa's reaction to the white lioness was far different than his sister's. He was neither impressed nor frightened, and as her red eyes fell on him, his own unflinching eyes gazed back at hers. If she expected him to attempt to ear her respect, she was sorely mistaken. He couldn't have cared less, for as his loyalty belonged solely to his mother, it was only her respect that he cared to have.

But he was intrigued that she look so familiar, like the large white lion male whose path they had crossed some time ago, the lion who had spoken of the land to the north. It was from that meeting that Ashi had learned the truth of who his father was, a truth he had kept to himself since that day.

"Mother, she is like him."

"Indeed. Their sister bears the most resemblance, of course... but for how much potential this pride's bloodline has, they're rather easily fooled, much to my benefit."

As her son spoke up, Azula inclined her head just so, daring to make her guess known just as confidently as she did everything and anything else. There was never hesitance or uncertainty in Azula's actions, ever living up to her reputation in her father's eyes as a genius-prodigy, she acted with confidence, spoke with confidence, moved with confidence. Meeting others was no different unless she had reason to act otherwise, but there was no need for such with this lioness.

"Yes... daughter of conflict... Niece of war. It's easy to see the strength of the blood flowing in your veins, but more importantly you possess a strength all your own. I certainly do admire that, Mahakali. I think there is much that we can discuss."

Zari gave a light shiver, sensing the ominous threat in her mother's aura, though not towards this bone clad lioness. Her venom would be directed to someone else entirely, though who was a matter left to be discovered.

"I see, so you've met my father as well. So hasn't died yet then, pity. He is a weak fool who has no idea of the true meaning of war."

She remembered that fateful night so long ago when she had left the pridelands behind forever. That night she had met Mrost and at least came to understand her dreams, that she was a general of war born again, a legacy she longed to claim again. Her father had tried to 'protect' her, to stop her from going with Mrost, to keep her from the destiny that was her right, an act he nearly paid for with his life.

Though she had to admit he was a strong lion, and it was through him that she had inherited her towering size and the markings she wore with pride. Still she hated him, the next time they met would not be a happy reunion but a bloody battle.

"Yes, and much we can accomplish together."

The snarl faded from her maw, though the fire still flickered in her eyes. It seemed that today she had found a powerful ally, a strong kinship of the type she had not know since she was last in the presence of her fellow generals. There would be much they would achieve, and many who would fear them.

Ashi showed no reaction to the lioness' sudden outburst. Ever calm and collected, he merely stood as he was, a light flick of his tail the only sign that he had heard her at all. He was simply not afraid, why should he be?

His gaze shifted to his mother, a silent look exchanged in the satisfaction of being correct. Though unlike his mother he had no guessed the white lion was this one's father, he had thought they must be connected somehow.

Clearly she did not care for the white lion, despite how much she seemed like him. What then would this lioness bring with her? Whatever it was, it seemed the firekin pride was soon to become a lot more interesting.
