The meeting of new friends Kimaria The little pup was content to snuffle through the frosty leaves that had fallen steadily during the autumn. His breath misting in clouds about his muzzle as he trotted along the empty path, the sound of leaves crackling underfoot. With a small huff he paused and raised his head to glance about him, golden eyes surveying this strange new place with wonder and fear. He constantly found that he was telling himself that being alone was for the best, this way he wouldn't be let down. Friday_Dora Aeria trotted briskly through the woods, shivering ever so slightly as her puppy fur did not yet provide much warmth. She paused occaisionally to investigate the different sights and sounds, and to mouth at the small patches of snow that dotted the trails.
When she approached a small clearing where the trails converged she spotted some movement. She didn't see the pup at first, as his coat provided the perfect camouflage during this time of year. She slowly approached as silently as possible, but the rustling of leaves as she walked quickly blew her cover. Kimaria Gizmo froze as he heard the scuffling sounds from the trees and turned his head very slowly towards the direction he had heard it. A squeaky growl rumbled in his throat and he took a wary step back, not wanting to get caught face to face with a predator in his lonesome state. A wave of relief flooded him as he saw a pup not much older than himself steadily approaching.
His social skills were lacking but he decided to wag his tail a little in hope that this would be enough to warn the stranger he meant no harm. He was too tired from all the walking and the chill wind that never seemed to leave him alone. Friday_Dora Aeria's ears flicked backwards when Gizmo growled, but once the pup began to wag his tail she did the same. She walked up to him with her head lowered slightly, and a low whine escaped her. She continued to wag her tail until she reached him, at which point she sat down in front of the other pup.
Her milk chocolate gaze landed on the pup's face, though she tried her best to avoid eye contact until she knew he was friendly. He seemed nice enough, though, and her tail began to wag again. Hello, she said rather shyly. Kimaria The pup titled his head and drew his ears forward, not sure how to react. This new youngster seemed friendly enough but how should he greet her? With a small yip he continued to wag his tail before speaking.
Hello, who you? His language was unpractised and a little clumsy but he hoped he had got the message across to her. He hated being misunderstood because he could not express his thoughts into words.
He allowed himself to relax, eyes remaining half closed as the bitter wind swept past them and could not retain a small shudder. The weather seemed to be getting worse by the day. Friday_Dora The young wolf lay down on the ground, flattening her body so that the icy wind would pass right over her and not chill her any further. She looked up at the other wolf and yipped back before replying to his query.
My name is Aeria, she said. Who are you? Kimaria He nodded his pale muzzle and copied her motions, lowering his furry belly onto the ground and lying with his tail curled about him. The pup's name was a pretty one, he thought before remembering she had asked him a question.
I Gizmo He replied, a sparkle in his eyes as he announced his name. Why you alone? He asked, feeling comfortable enough to continue the conversation without fear of being laughed at. Friday_Dora Aeria considered this, and her eyes shifted back and forth as she did so. I... I don't know, really. I don't remember how I came to be alone. She curled in a ball and tucked her furry tail over her sesitive nose, which was getting very cold rather quickly. Why are you alone? Kimaria Gizmo's head shot up at what she had spoken, the words 'don't know' ringing a familiar tune in his head. There were a lot of things that he himself did not know, his memory was terrible and remembering things did not come easy to the small wolf. Perhaps another curse of being the runt pup, too weak and stupid to do anything but rely on others.
His hackles rose as he thought of this, making him appear more fluffy and cute than anything else. This female was the same as him, alone and with no memories - except he did remember some things - he just prefered not to speak of them.
I choose to be. He replied, hoping that would be a suficient answer for the little female. Friday_Dora Aeria tilted her head slightly in confusion. This little wolf pup chose to be alone? Her mind began swirling with thought. Why would a wolf, especially such a young one, choose to be alone? It was a dangerous way to live. Finding food was difficult enough, but defending yourself and your territory was another matter altogether. If she'd had the choice she would have never chosen to be alone.
She simply nodded and said, Oh, not wanting to offend Gizmo in any way. Maybe he had good reason... Kimaria Gizmo was a little worried by her response, had he said something wrong? Perhaps he had offended her without meaning too. He gave a small whimper and sat up again, keeping his tail firmly wrapped along one flank.
He tried to remember what his mother had done when she tried to say sorry but couldn't and moved round to lie beside her. I say wrong word? He asked in a small voice. He didn't like upsetting others and especially ones who didn't taunt him for his obvious flaws. Friday_Dora Aeria's eyes softened as she looked at Gizmo. No, it's just that... She whined slightly. Why do you want to be alone? There. She had said it. It concerned her slightly that he'd said he wanted to be alone, and she just wanted to know why. Kimaria The wolf pup gave a slight whimper, it hurt him to remember the reason and even though he forgot many things, that one detail in his life flared up constantly. He doubted he would ever rid himself of it.
others... He began, thinking carefully how to word his reply in case she misunderstood him, others tease for being...differ...different. There he had said it and he hoped it had been satisfactory. He didn't want to go into detail, but he knew he should atleast hint at the problems pack life had caused him. He'd rather face the world alone with the moon and stars protecting him, than return to those who he should call family. Friday_Dora The brown pup also whimpered and lay her head on the ground. I am sorry, Gizmo. She could tell that the conversation was bringing up painful memories.
It made sense, though. If she had been somewhere where she had been unhappy, she probably would have left, too, but she felt that the place she had come from had been wonderful. She vaguely remembered being warm and well-fed, with a belly full of milk. She pushed the memories aside. That didn't matter anymore. What mattered now was Gizmo, he was unhappy and Aeria felt that she was the cause. Kimaria He blinked in confusion, why had she apologised? As far as the little pup knew, she had done nothing wrong other than to ask a question that he was sure most others would be wondering.
It wasn't her fault that his pack had not been as comforting as others but perhaps it was for the best. He would become stronger and one day he would return to them and they would no longer be able to mock him.
Why you be sorry? Not your fault. His tail wagged very slowly as he watched her with his golden eyes. He wasn't sure what else to say. Friday_Dora She lifted her head and offered a weak smile. I know.. I'm just sorry you were unhappy.
Her tail wagged slightly, but another gust of wind blew past them and she quickly lowered her head and curled her tail over her nose once again.
It's so cold, she muttered. Kimaria The little wolf stood up on his paws and looked down at the female, he understood how cold she was and could not contain a small shudder of his own.
If they didn't get out of the wind soon they would both be frozen and he was pretty sure that wouldn't be good for either of them.
Lowering his head he nudged at her with his pink nose and gave a small yip, turning his head up to the trees. We find shelter, he muttered, focus returning to Aeria, or we freeze. He remained standing at her side, waiting for her decision. Friday_Dora Aeria yipped and gave a weak nod. In the forest?
She stood up and shook the snow from her coat before turning to look at Gizmo. You lead, I'll follow. Kimaria Glad that Aeria had agreed, the pup clambered up the small slope that led into the forest. He wasn't too sure what he was looking for, a thick plant to offer shelter, perhaps a hollow in the ground. All he knew was that instinct was telling him to get out of the cold.
Hopping over a root that jutted from the ground Gizmo paused to wait for the female, not wanting them to get seperated. It was strange, but now that he had found a friend he didn't want to return to solitude.
His breath hung in the air, fuzzing his vision as he continued on his way, leaves slippery beneath clumsy paws as he continued through the trees. Another strong gust of wind brought him to a halt and he lowered his head to keep his eyes from being stung by it's vicious touch. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, but he did not want to let his friend down.
Which way? He mumbled aloud, more to himself than to his companion although he hoped she had heard. Perhaps her senses were more intuned that his own. Friday_Dora Aeria trotted after Gizmo, staying close as his body heat permeated the cold somewhat. She smirked as he stopped every now and then to let her "catch up" - was is possible that the little wolf who wanted to be alone was scared of getting separated from her?
She blinked rapidly as they walked straight into the wind. Her eyelashes were frozen together and didn't offer much protection for her eyes against the elements.
Her ears perked forward as he asked the question. She sniffed the air intently for several moments before replying. This way, pine trees. Hopefully the large trees with their prickly foilage would offer more protection than the deciduous trees, which had dropped all of their leaves. Kimaria With a nod of his pale head Gizmo quickened his pace as much as dared, raising his muzzle too catch a scent of the pine trees for himself. Yes, she was right and he hoped that they would offer protection from the harsh winter. He supposed that any shelter was better than none.
As the scent grew stronger in his sensitive nostrils he felt more and more excited about finding a place to rest and get warm. The bitterness of winter was forgotten and he gave a yip of excitement when the first of the pines came into view.
Your nose works good. Gizmo beamed at the female, tongue lolling from the side of his mouth. Friday_Dora Aeria smiled and ran past Gizmo to an especially large pine. She crawled under the lowest branches and turned in a circle before she lay down, sighing relievedly. The tree offered wonderful protection from the wind.
She poked her head out. Gizmo, are you coming? Kimaria Gizmo nodded and ran over to the tree she had selected and forced his small body into the branches, turning round and lying beside her. From here at least nothing could sneak up on them, and they had full view of the surrounding area.
The trees looked frightening with their claw like branches reaching out towards the sky, starved of sunshine and warmth. Gizmo took comfort in the fact that the tree they had found still held its calm dignity and was helping them in their peril.
For the moment the little pup felt safe, especially now that he wasn't alone in this cruel world. Friday_Dora Aeria yawned a tremendous puppy-yawn before lying her head on her paws. Something was making her very sleepy... Whether it was from the cold or the short trek she and the other pup had made she wasn't sure. She stared through the pine branches as clumps of snow fell from the other trees, making soft thumps as they hit the ground. Slowly, her eyes shifted over to Gizmo.
He too was looking at the trees, but he had a faraway look about him. She smiled and whined slightly to get the male pup's attention.
What are you thinking about? she asked. Kimaria Gizmo too had shifted slightly, glad to finally be able to rest his paws eyes still content on looking at the trees. Perhaps it was because these trees were bare of leaves that made them look so scary, or maybe this whole forest was under some sort of wintry curse.
The small whine snapped him from his thoughts and he turned his attention on his friend, listening intently as she spoke.
Trees...scary he lowered his own head upon his forepaws and moved so that their sides touched, such closeness did seem to help rid himself of the cold. Forest scary. He added as an after thought, not afraid to admit this to her. Friday_Dora Aeria moved and lay her head across Gizmo's back. They do look scary... She shivered slightly as she looked back outside at the naked, gnarled trees.
She half expected them to tear their roots out of the ground and come after the pups with their twisted arms. This thought made her even more nervous and she began whining.
I don't like this forest, she whispered. It was cold, it was creepy, and there weren't any other signs of life aside from her and Gizmo. It was spooky, to say the least. Where else would we go, though? Kimaria Gizmo closed his eyes briefly and sniffed at the wind, hoping to catch a scent of life but recieving nothing. With a sorry shake of his head he nuzzled at one of her paws, wishing he was bigger and stronger. At least then he could have protected her, but he was a runt and a scared one at that.
She needed a brave wolf to help take her to a nice, warm place and he knew he couldn't do that, but to say such things would upset her further and he didn't want to do that either.
With a small sigh he tried to calm his frantic mind, and blocked out the trees. I don't know. He phrased slowly, This place new and strange, he huffed and curled his tail tighter around him. my nose finds no one. Otsune Lera was not to far from where the young pups were. Young pups, heh, those weren't something she'd seen in a while. Blood dripped from her maw, a sign she she had devoured a fresh kill. Her stomach was satisated for the time being, and she moved about the woods with no particular destination. The lands were slowly growing barren, which packs moving out, and Lera's emotions often reflected her melancholy side. She stopped in the snow and arched her head up towards the sky, letting out a melodic howl. Just then new presences appeared in her mind, ones that weren't familiar to her. She hurried in that direction, which was the directions of the pups. Friday_Dora I don't think there is anyone else... Aeria sighed and closed her eyes. For as long as she'd been in the forest she hadn't seen or smelled any other animals besides Gizmo. Maybe they were all hibernating? Or maybe something weird was going on in this part of the woods...
She whined again as the sinister thoughts entered her head again. Sometimes it was a curse for the little wolf to have such an active imagination. Kimaria Gizmo had to agree, he was tired and weary and just wanted to fall into a nice long sleep. Perhaps after that he would discover his courage and they would be able to journey onwards. He refused to believe that every living thing had left this forest.
With a small huff he closed his eyes and tried to sleep, the comfort of having the pup so close to him helping his muscles relax. Otsune Leradien quickly arrived to the pup's location, but kept herself hidden. Her pelt of ash blended in with the trees, her shadowy figure moving in silence. Her golden eyes pierced the air, staring towards the young ones. Her suspicions were correct, these ones were new, just a small little male and female, alone in the cold. Her maternal instincts kicked in as she instantly had a feeling of sadness and guilt, as if she herself was responsible for not finding these pups a place to stay, yes she refused these emotions, and kept herself in hiding. Yet she was upwind from the pups, and would have easily been able to smell her. She had done this on purpose, hoping to not suprise the pups out of the blue, but approach them slowly. Friday_Dora Aeria snuggled closer to Gizmo. The pup was so nice and warm... It had been a while since she'd been so close to another being, and it was nice. She felt safe, and contented. She was beginning to doze off when the sound reached her ears.
They instantly perked up while the rest of her small body froze with fear. The rustling of leaves, very near to them, accompanied by the scent of another wolf. She nudged her companion. Gizmo... Kimaria If Gizmo heard her he made no signs of it, the little pup gave a small whimper as a strange scent caught on his nostrils but fell into a deeper sleep. His eyes were shut tight and his tail was still curled firmly about him. Otsune Lera could feel tension hanging in the air. She felt the small pups' fears environ them; and she could hear their heartbeats. She took a few steps forward, revealing herself. She was quite a sight to see. Her body was lithe, hidden beneath a thick winter coat. She was much larger then the average female, easily equaling the size of a male. Her tail arched over her back, and her ears were foward. A frown was on her face as her golden eyes bore down upong the pups. "Are your feet cold, little ones?" She asked. Friday_Dora Aeria's eyes grew wide as she stared in shock at the large she-wolf. She stammered to say something, but could not articulate herself. Instead she nudged at Gizmo, but she was sound asleep.
The cub began to panic. She stood up and her upper lip peeled back to reveal gleaming white puppy teeth. Otsune Lera approched even closer her eyes never leaving the young she-pup. She stood fast befor eher, her limbs as solid as the trees of the forest. "Stop that!," she demanded in a strong voice. Her words were not filled with anger or hate and no matter how fierce her voice sounded her face and body emitted a calm feeling. "I am not here to hunt of chase you, little ones," she said, looking to the pups with a kind visage. Friday_Dora Aeria instantly pinned her ears back at the adult's words, and she tucked her tail between her legs. She stared up at the wolf as she came closer.
Who are you? she asked in a shaky voice. Even if this she-wolf's intentions weren't a threat, she was still a rather imposing figure. Otsune "My name is Leradien," she said calmy, sitting down and curling her tail around her paws only to regret it a few seconds later: the ground was cold. "And what is yours and you friend's?" she asked in return." Lera seeped into the young pup's mind with her knowing, digging for memories or feelings. What lera found was just cold and fear, all that occupied this pup's mind at the moment. "Are you cold?" she asked quietly and almost sympathetically. Friday_Dora I am Aeria, he is Gizmo, she said, nodding towards the sleeping he-pup. We're very cold, we came here for shelter, but it hasn't been much help... She drifted off as her small body gave another shudder.

Past RP||16th DecemberEnter Chagrin Reiva The adolescent padded through the forest, seeming at ease. He cared not to make his presence known to the world, his large paws breaking sticks and crumbling leaves. His gaze remained fixed upon the path he seemed to create. The weather was chilly, but one could be grateful for a thick pelt. His nostrils soon picked upon the scent of others, quite a few. Ears perked up, head tilted slightly to the side. Others? The young brute slowly padded forward upon the group. Three to be exact, one asleep, rather young, and another wolf, older then he. His posture only showed that he was curious, that was until he plopped down on the ground, pretending to show interest in a fern that rested beside him. Kimaria Why? Why wouldn't they leave him alone!? Gizmo couldn't understand how they managed to find him and taunt him each and every time he fell asleep. Atleast he hoped he was sleeping, if he woke up to discover that leaving the pack and meeting Aeria had all been a dream he didn't know what he would do.
His legs twitched as he came out of his nightmare and golden eyes opened to the cold grass he was lying on. Instantly the same strange scent hit his nostrils and he whimpered, tilting his head up to see Aeria. She seemed to be on guard and was actually in quite an impressive stance - or so the pup thought.
Fear crept into him and he crawled backwards, belly still brushing against the ground as he made his way through the grass and hopefully to freedom. At that moment in time, the only thing that mattered was his own survival, and seeing how brave Aeria looked, he was pretty sure she could handle herself.
With a stream of unending whimpers the patchy pup made his way further and further from where he had been sleeping moments ago. The cold had made his movements slow and his muscles ached, but the survival instinct had already kicked in. He didn't want to die! Reiva The sound of whimpers reached his ears, and Chagrin watched the scared Gizmo curiously. The scene was quite humorous, though he was in no way in the mood to explain that nothing was wrong to the scared pup, who was beginning to slip away. He wouldn't need to do that, it would be a waste of time. But, he should at least make sure the pup didn't kill himself from fright, which the pup would probably end up doing. With something that sounded like a grunt the wolf pushed himself up from the ground, shaking his pelt free of the decomposing leaves. He padded with little interest away from the scene, he didn't want one to realize that he was in the mood to actually do something semi-responsible. He took up another angle once out of sight, heading towards the pup, sheilding by the dense brush. He soon had the pup in sights, and thanked his parents for his brown pelt, which seemed to help him blend more into the surroundings. Kimaria When Gizmo felt safe enough to stand up properly instead of crawling along on his belly he began to lope, lanky and clumsy legs carrying him faster than even he believed possible. Perhaps he was getting stronger after all.
In his blind fear he didn't notice or catch the scent of Chagrin. His escape soon came to an end as he paused to catch his breath beneath another tree. He trembled and leaned against the trunk for support, his body already losing strength from the short run.
He turned his head back in the direction he had gone and whimpered again, wishing that Aeria was with him. He had liked her a lot and it was sad to think that a wolf might be eating her for a snack. Yet he was still alive, and that was all that mattered...wasn't it?
With a long whine he flopped onto the ground, eyes watching the leaves as they rustled infront of him. He knew he shouldn't have left her, and the guilt was already consuming him. He really was a terrible wolf. Reiva Chagrin found it quite easy to keep up with the scared pup. Myabe he was getting stronger, or maybe it was because the one he had to keep up with was a weak and scared pup. No matter, it made him feel good about himself as he followed the pup silently. The pup was tiring, rather quickly, and Chagrin found himself quite energetic for an odd reason. Maybe it was because he had been lounging about lately. No matter, he felt quite good at the moment. The pup plopped down upon the ground, and Chagrin found it a good time to waste some of his energy. He sneaked about around the pup, using the forest brush as cover. He padded up to the pup from behind, having the tree the pup was leaning resting near to conceal him. Finally, the brown brute was behind the tree, peeking his head to the side and looking down at the pup. He lifted his head down, giving the pup a gentle nudge. Kimaria The pup couldn't have been more surprised if he had tried, eyes widening in such a manner that they seemed as if they would fall out of their sockets. By the moon above, where had that wolf come from?
He gave a yelp of fear and with agility the pup never knew he had, spun round on the attacker.
Lifting his lips, he revealed his small row of white teeth and gave a squeaky growl, his fur rising and making him appear more cute than feirce. His ears which were usually drawn forwards were flattened against his skull in an attempt to intimidate the much larger wolf.
Leave alone! He cried, as he took a few steps away, fear beginning to break him once more. Reiva Chagrin watched the wolf pup in a way that would make it seem like he cared not. But, in fact, he found it quite humorous, how the pup reacted to his presence. As the pup took a few steps back, he padded forward, out from behind the tree. He sat down upon his haunches, a slight yawn escaping his mouth, not meaning to show his quite larger teeth. No, the older wolf replied with little care at all how the pup would react to the reply. He simply pawed at the ground, as if bored with the pup and everything else. His gaze though, remained upon the pup who looked absoultely adorable in his defensive position. But, it wasn't as if Chagrin cared if he had scared the pup, or gave the pup the feeling that he was in danger. Chagrin was just going to watch over the small pup since he was alone, and would probably get himself lost without someone older to guide him. Kimaria The little pup paused and looked a little annoyed at being ignored, he didn't understand this wolf at all. Was he friend or foe? Drawing his ears forward Gizmo decided to sit down, tucking his tail about him and looking at this older wolf. Now that he thought about it, he wasn't exactly scary looking and there was nothing threatening in his posture.
Was he just toying with him? That must be it, this wolf wanted to tease him as his siblings had done. He knew he would never escape from it, from the torture of what had followed him since birth. Yet in all of his despair there was one question on his mind:
You bad wolf? He asked nervously, breath wreathing around his muzzle as he did so. The cold didn't seem so scary now that he had come face to face with two large wolves, although he had to admit this one did appear a little smaller than the first. Reiva Me? Bad? Chagrin responded, seeming to take upon a thinking look. Finally, he stood, closing the distance between him and the pup. He towered over the smaller creature, peering down upon him with a slightly curiuos expression. But, from another point of veiw it could be very scary to have someone towering over you. Chagrin gently pawed at the pup. Nah, I'm okay. He finally answered the pups question, returning to sitting down in front of the pup, as if expecting for the young whelp to take flight again. He wouldn't blame the young one for not trusting him, though he still could not figure out why the pup was scared of him in the first place. He honestly wasn't that bad ... was he? Kimaria The pup cowered to the ground as Chagrin towered over him, too afraid to make a run for it or do anything but stare with his mouth agape. His golden eyes were fixed upon the other male as he listened to what he had to say, not sure whether to be relieved or not.
He gave a small squeak as the male pawed at him but he remained where he was, too tired to try running again. He knew he wouldn't stand a chance anyway.
The little pup frowned in thought and turned his pink nose up to the elder, If you not bad, why you attack? He asked, unaware that the wolf had done nothing of the sort. Reiva Chagrin seemed slightly confused by the pups question. Instead of replying to it he lied down, curling up around the small pup. You are cold, he said as if it was just a simple side comment, and excuse to lie down and rest, though it was apparent he needed not the rest as much as the pup. If I attacked you, then why are you still alive? He questioned in return, letting an eye close, leaving the other to watch the pup. He wasn't overly ready to start up a long conversation, but if the pup kept on asking questions that were idiotic in some point of veiw he'd probably end up making a very long conversation about the pup being a bit more secure around others who showed no will of harming him. Kimaria The pup gave a low whuff of surprise as the large wolf curled himself about him but was surprised by the sudden warmth that enveloped him. The sudden change in temperature made his mind fuzzy and he remembered Aeria, all alone with that ferocious wolf.
No, no she was probably doing fine, and he could always return later to see if she was still alive. He winced at that thought and gave a small whimper, turning his head to regard the older male. You wait till I sleep, then attack. He offered as an excuse to his question, at this Gizmo couldn't help but move a little closer to Chagrin, too weak to think badly of him.
It was nice to feel warm again even if it was at the expense of his friend, but he felt he had to ask, You see other wolf? He hoped the question had made sense but had no energy to try and change it into a better phrase. Perhaps this wolf was a friend of the other, and they were plotting to capture them. Maybe Aeria had been dead before this other had passed by...he whimpered again and closed his eyes. Aeria... Reiva I will not attack, trust me. Chagrin replied, his voice unsually soft. He rested his head upon the cold ground, letting his warmth flow over the cold a fear-strucken pup. The pup was beginning to trust him though, for he seemed to welcome the warmth that Chagrin was supplying. Well, at least that was an accomplishment for the day. Hmmm? Chagrin questioned, not really understanding what the pup wanted for an answer, for in all truth he did not understand the question. His tail swished back and forth slightly, for no reason at all besides that it moved away some decaying leaves and branched. Those could be a very nasty pain ..... Kimaria Gizmo cursed his inability to communicate and nuzzled his head against Chagrin's side without realising it. The warmth was very nice indeed, a great change from the bitter winter wind. You see other pup? Before you see me? He frowned and shook his head, no that didn't seem right either, how would he phrase this question. Aeria, you see Aeria? Perhaps the wolf knew her name, although he doubted it very much.
With a frustrated sigh he let his eyes close again, thoughts of that little pup alone in the forest making his heart clench painfully. Turning his face, he nuzzled against Chagrin's side again, feeling safe, the male didn't seem so bad really. Reiva I have seen her, she will be fine. He said in a slightly reassuring tone. He felt the pup nuzzle up against him, and knew that he had indeed achieved the pups trust. Or maybe it was just because he was warm ... no matter, Chagrin felt like he had accomplished something, and that was good enough for him. Now it was time to rest .... after the pup found rest though. Would Chagrin have to remain awake? Oh, he hoped not, his energy was slowly fading away to be used another day. She is fine. He said, trying to make it seem that he was positive, which he was, but being tired could often affect the way he did things. The pup was too innocent to be harmed, and no wolf he knew would harm her. Everything was right, it was alright. Kimaria Gizmo was stunned by his repsonse, firstly because he had understood and secondly because he sounded so sure of himself. Had he not seen that fierce, big wolf in the forest? She had looked positively terrifying and her scent could surely not have been missed by this more experienced male.
He tried to clamber free, desperate to get his message across to him, Big wolf, scary and...big! He cried frantically She eat Aeria! Perhaps Chagrin was right, but he wasn't sure and if something had happened to the pup he would never forgive himself. He would be just as bad as his siblings were!
Eyes glossy with grief the little pup buffeted the flat of his skull against Chagrin's side. My fault he continued, I left her, she get eaten. He trembled almost violently, shaking his head in sadness. Oh he truly hoped that the older male was right but he couldn't be sure, not until he had seen his friend with his own two eyes. Reiva Chagrin absolutely had no idea what to do. The pup could not let what he did get by him and lost in the past. It was annoying in a way, but he felt the need to comfort the whelp. She will not eat your friend. I am big, and I have not eaten you? Just because we're large means not we're bad. Be calm, he said, nuzzling the pup, trying to comfort the young one. But, the pup was absolutely frantic, in a way. Chagrin found himself with no idea on how to handle the situation with ease. I would've ran too at your age. It is not your fault, rest, be calm, he tried to say in a comforting tone, though he wanted the pup to rest basically so he could too. Oh this was going to be a very long day. Kimaria His heart screamed to continue demanding at this male but his mind gently urged him to calm and listen to the elder's words. With a small huff of defeat the pup settled again, curling up against Chagrin's side.
If you lie, I bite your nose. He murmured, knowing how much his siblings had hated that when he had been with them. Perhaps he was right, after all not all wolves were like the ones from his pack and a pretty pup like Aeria would surely be better alive than in another's belly.
Turning his head to face the wolf again, eyes dull with fatigue he gave a small yip, I believe. He said gently and snuggled ever closer, glad to have found yet another friend in this scary forest.
Then he remembered his manners, a little late but atleast they were making an appearance now, I Gizmo, he announced before closing his eyes, a small sigh escaping his mouth. Reiva A sound that was similar to a chuckle escaped Chagrins mouth. I will hold you up to that, he replied in pure humour. The pup curled up beside him, and finally he felt that things were calming down just a little bit. That was surely something to be grateful for. I am Chagrin, he quickly replied with the pup introduced himself, almost forgetting that it would be right to at least give the whelp his name. He watched as the pup let his eyes close, and let out a relieved sigh. Oh, he hoped the pup wouldn't start doubting Chagrin's words again, because that could get really annoying really quickly. Kimaria Chagrin... He repeated sleepily, words barely a whisper and with another small sigh the pup felt himself dropping into the comforting bubble of sleep, and for the first time he did not dream of torture and grief.
Maybe it was the closeness of this seemingly friendly wolf which helped keep the nightmares at bay but whatever it was the little pup's mind relaxed. The cold was long forgotten, along with the terrors of the forest and the pup curled up tighter, his tail wrapping up to cover his pink nose.
Yes, being alone wasn't as good as being with friends, he would definately return to find Aeria when he was fully rested, and maybe Chagrin - his new friend - would help him.

Past RP||28th DecemberA brother Kimaria The small pup woke up with a jolt, not sure where he was. He felt strangely warm despite the cold of winter and wondered why until he looked up and spotted Chagrin. At first the little pup wondered who this stranger was until his memory returned to him. He had bumped into this wolf whilst running away from another scary female.
His tongue curled in a wide yawned, revealing his small white teeth as he got to his feet and scrambled out of the older wolf's embrace. The ground was cold against his paws as he shook his fur and looked around the frosty looking forest.
Aeria! He had almost forgotten about her! With a small whimper the patchy pup crept away from the snoozing wolf, hoping that his friend was still in the same place he had left her. If she had been eaten there would be hell to pay! Kouseki The dark male nuzzle Lera softly. "I'm going hunting. I promie I'll be back, and with food for you." With a small shake of his head, he would lick her softly, then take off, after hearing her give him the go ahead. With a small wolfvish smile he would tromp around in the snow and act like he was a young pup again. Bitting at the snow, he would catch the scent of a younger male wolf. Canting his head, slightly he would look the wolf over and stand in the way for him to get near Lera, but this time not attacking or anything. "Who're you?" He called out, rather lost for a moment, there were so many wolves, how did Lera get them all? The young pup reminded him of his sister vaguly and he smirked, wagging his tail lightly, his maw ajar as his left eaar kept twitching. Letting out a small huff, he would see his breath in the air, and was highly amussed. But his stmach groweled, he needed food. Kimaria Gizmo paused, not another big scary wolf! How was it that he could walk for a whole two days and not meet anyone and suddenly they would all appear. Perhaps the large female and this one were part of the same pack. Perhaps they had eaten Aeria! Perhaps they would eat him next.
He whimpered and flattened his ears, lowering so that his belly brushed against the ground. This male looked simply astounding, the amazing patterns on his pelt were like nothing the little pup had ever seen. He dipped his head further, tail held rigid.
I Gizmo, not good for eating. He squeaked, eyes turned up to look at the huge wolf fearfully. Kouseki He smirked at the way the young pup was acting. "Don't worry, I don't eat junk food." He teased before plopping to his butt and looking the young pup over. It was only the second pup he had met. "Where's you pack, Gizmo? Wouldn't want a big bad wolf to eat you." Teasing him again, he would nudge the pup with his paw. Yeah, Haku was a big, mean scary wolf. xD! Standing on all fours, he would shake the water that was gathered on his beautiful pelt, then sit down again. This pup confiused him. Did it really think he wanted to eat something so.. cute? He glanced around the surrrounding before his eyes fell on the pup again. "You're gonna get hurt going out alone someday, kid." Kimaria The little pup bristled slightly and took a wary step back, he didn't like the way the large wolf was acting one bit, he disliked the questioning even more and wrinkled his muzzle slightly. I need no pack he gave a squeaky growl as the large paw nudged him and rolled over onto his side.
From this position he watched in wide-eyed fear as the wolf got to his paws and shook himself, holding back the instinct to flee. He had to find Aeria and her scent was stronger in this area.
I no get hurt, I smart and strong. He gave a sharp nod of his muzzle and rolled onto his stomach, eyes never leaving those of the large wolf. He smelt somewhat familiar but he couldn't quite place the scent, tilting his head slightly to peer up silently.
Then he remembered, he smelt like that large female he had seen not too long ago. That must mean they were part of the same pack, and had probably helped in taking Aeria away from him. He whimpered again and struggled to his paws.
You eat Aeria, he murmured more to himself that anything. Kouseki He snorted and snapped at the pup. "First of all, I have no clue what your talking about. Second, I'm out here looking for food for Lera." Pushing the pup aside softly with his paw, he would glare down at the thing.. "I don't eat junk food.." he replied again, with another shake of his head. "You need a pack or you will get hurt, kiddie." Still in his seated position, the wolf would let his mind drift to Lera for a moment, then snap back into reality. He needed to find food, and he smlet deer near by. But this child made him curious, so he stayed where he was and looked it over again. "You need pack. You get hurt." He muttered, mocking the pup before rolling his steel eyes and moving to all fours, his tail point upwards lightly. Kimaria The pup's courage - of what little there was - soon deflated after being snapped at by this scary wolf. If he was telling the truth than maybe Aeria was still alive somewhere and he hadn't been too late to save her.
He caught the last of the large wolf's statement and snarled, who was he to tell him what to do? He didn't need, want or like packs, all they caused was heartache. He just wanted Aeria! Was that really too much to ask?
The wolf's mocking sentence brought up even more painful memories and he got to his feet, scowling at the large male. Packs useless, hurtful. He snapped. Was it really that important for wolves to be tied with others and forced into ranks that they possibly didn't want? Kouseki He thought about it for a minute. "Yeah.. maybe you're right kid." With a light shake of his head, he woukld curl up into a little ball of fur on the ground, resting his head against the newly fallen snow that had fallen that very night. Packs.. he'd lost his baby sister for the winter, and now he had lost Lera, because of her little pack thingy. "Packs cause you to lose things." He muttered, really to himself. With a small nod of his head, he would sit back up. It was hard to get comfortable in the snow, so he moved around a lot. He wanted to go back next to Lera and just lay there foever. But they needed food, and being the male, it was his job to make sure she didn't die or something. "You've got courage for snapping at me, kid. I'll give you that." knocking the kid over with his paw, he would smirk. Kimaria Gizmo warmed up to the wolf slightly as he listened to his words, it sounded as if he too understood the negative points of being in a pack. It made him feel better to realise that he wasn't the only one with these feelings.
He watched silently as the wolf shifted restlessly upon the cold snow, and let out a small sigh, his breath misting about his muzzle. He also noticed that the male seemed to have a lot on his mind, just a look into his eyes told him that.
The next statement made him puff out his chest in pride, being told you had courage from an adult wolf was definately something to be proud of. He was taken by surprise as he was knocked over, his small body rolling over in the snow.
With a small yip, he jumped up onto his paws and dashed around the larger adult. It was then that a thought crossed his mind, if he hadn't left his pack to eat him then why had he left it's safety?
Sir, if you with pack, why you here? Kouseki With a small cant of his head, he would let his tongue roll out of his mouth and pant a bit. yeah, he had warmed up to the kid, just a bit though. They had more in common then he'd like to admit. The pup seemed mature for his age. "I don't need the protection of a pack," he would snort, locking over the oddly coloured pup. "I was supposed to join my sister's pack, but said he'd think about it over the winter. I don't think my little sister should be able to tell me where to do what." He muttered, more to himself than the pup before him. "Packs make you lose everything, I don't really think I need to join one at this point." Shaking his head, he would move to stand on all fours, just a bit bigger than the average male. Chasing the pup in a circle, he would stop and look him over. A faint scent of deer caught his nose, but he could afford to be gone just a little longer. Lera needed her rest anyways. Yawning smally, he would blink. The last thing he needed was some alpha telling him how to behave. "What about you, kid?" Kimaria Even if Gizmo still wasn't too sure what to think of this older male he held a silent respect for him. This majestic and strong wolf stood for something he wanted to become, then no one would tease him or call him a runt for fear of being bitten.
At the mention of siblings the pup cringed, pausing in his running to listen. It sounded as if he also wanted to escape from his family just as he had too. Me either, packs more trouble than worth.
He continued running in circles, and felt a part of his youth return when the male began to chase him. It did not last long though, before the older male seemed to become lost in thought again. Gizmo wondered briefly what it was that worried this huge wolf so.
I hate sisters...brother He snarled in answer to the wolf's question, Think they so good, tease, bite... He shook his head and pounced on the older wolf's tail.
At that moment his stomach chose to make itself known, grumbling loudly and complaining about being empty. If the pup could have blushed he most certainly would have done. Kouseki He thought about what to nickname the kid. "We should go get food, brother." All right, so maybe he ended up having a small soft spot for the little kid, he smelt a deer run by and he smirked. "Don't let them make fun of you, you send them to me." With a slight nod, he would chase down the deer and bite at it's neck, allowing the blood to flow from his mouth. He munched on the treat. "You want some, brother?" he wasn't sure if the new nickname would scare the kid, or make him feel welcomed, but whatever he felt was up to him. Snorting he would dig in more, it was a pretty good sized deer and he was thankful to have food in his stomach. The little thing had grown on him, and it was weird to be attached to something that was so.. young. He nuzzled a slab of deer towards the kid and smirked. "You know your hungry, kid." Kimaria Gizmo's ears drew forward as the older male called him 'brother' not quite sure what to make of it. He really didn't know how siblings were meant to act and this wolf certainly wasn't as mean as the brother he knew. His tail wagged slowly as the wolf spoke in a way that made him feel very protected and slunk up to watch him kill the deer.
His eyes were wide in awe and admiration as he watched the wolf attack and kill the deer with incredible skill and strength. Yes he wanted to be just like him when he grew up.
The smell of blood caught at his nostrils, enticing him closer and at the wolf's offer he crept over to his side and gazed at the kill. No one had offered to let him eat before, when he was back in the pack he had always had to wait until everyone else had had their fill.
With a small yip of thanks Gizmo lowered his muzzle to the meat and begun to tuck in ravenously, he hadn't realised just how hungry he was. During mid-chew he thought of something else and swallowing his mouthful he raised his head and looked over at his new friend.
What your name? He asked, not sure whether he was expected to call him sir or perhpas return the gesture and call him brother. Kouseki He kept eating and licked the blood from his lips to answer, "Haku.. But you can call me brother too if you wish." With a small nod,he would go back to eating. Yes, he was starving, and he was glad the pup was enjoying the meal as much as he was. Deer was good. o.o; He loved to lick the blood stains off his paws and smirked, eating as much as he could before he would feel like he would explode or something. Who knows when the next time he would eat out be. That's what happens when you're not in a pack. Then again, you get to eat what you want, as much as you want, whenever you want. His left ear kept twitching as he left the large remainder of meat to his brother so he could have his fill as well, then would probably just drag it back later, the ice keeping it fresh untill then. It was nice having a little wolf that looked up to him, it made him feel.. worth something. His onyx eyes blinked, man that kid could eat a lot. he must've been hungry or something. Moving a few inches awayto the pond, he would crack the ice with his paw and lap up some of the water there. Kimaria Gizmo felt a little warmth return to him as he gobbled up the meat, it was so good to eat fresh meat and not have to worry about being snapped at for eating too much. This older male was much nicer than anyone from his pack, and he was steadilly beginning to trust him.
He raised his muzzle again, licking the blood from his lips before giving a sort of toothy grin. brother Haku Giving a small bark of happiness he continued eating, gorging as much as possible in fear that he might not recieve a meal like this for a long time to come.
Winter was harsh and it seemed to have frightened off a lot of prey which was making hunting more and more difficult. When he had been with his family he had noticed that food had become more and more sparse and things had only gotten worse when he left them.
He looked up at the cracking sound, ears drawn forwards tongue lapping the blood from his pink nose. Curious as to what the wolf was doing by the ice water he padded softly over, peering onto the solid surface and catching a glimpse of his reflection. What you doing? He asked, sitting back on his haunches as he watched Haku putting his paw on the ice. Kouseki "Getting water." he replied as if it was the easiest thing in the world. Shoving his paw down hard on the ice, he would make a large chuck crack and have water just sitting there. "Drink." he would offer, going back to lap up some of the water he had gotten for himself. Yeah, he had learned some smart ways to keep from starving, especailly in the winter. With another lick to his lips he would sit back up and look over the young pup he had adopted as his little 'brother'. Glancing to the food he would smirk and drink a bit more. He knew Lera needed him, but f he explained his little 'brother' to her, she would probably jsut as well about it. "Eat well?" He asked, not really looking at the pup, as he was staring at his reflection in the ice. His black coat shook as he stood, and the fur clung to him slightly. So, he had forgotten his duties a bit. He wasn't in a pack, so he really had nothing to worry about. "Where do you stay now, brother? Do you stay alone?' That thought and crossed his mind and it worried him slightly as he thought about it Kimaria The pup was already learning so much from this adult, it was simply amazing how he managed to figure out that by breaking the ice you could get the water beneath. He had always thought that perhaps all the water had been pushed away and replaced by this strange clear stone. He snuffled at his reflection, and gave a yelp at how cold it was against his nose.
He gave a small jump back before moving to his brother's side and lapping at the water which had been uncovered. It was icy cold in his throat but he hadn't had anything to drink in a while and the effect was rather refreshing.
He sat up and turned to glance up at Haku, ears intently listening to every word. I stay nowhere. He replied cautiously, not sure whether this was a good answer for the elder. I wander through forest. He had learned that honesty was always the best policy and he was not about to lie to Haku, he respected him far too much to do that. Kouseki "You and I are much alike, brother." With a small nod, he would lap up a bit more water, having a gut feeling that Lera was up. But he wasn't about to abandon the kid. So, if she wanted to end it there and not look for him, then she could do just that. It was up to her where this relationship went. "What would you like to do now, brother?" He wanted to make his brother feel important, to let him choose whatever they would do next. Of course, the soft spot for the kid grew as he saw the face expressions change on him. Being alone sometimes got boring, so it was nice to be around someone who knew how it felt. He missed Lera, but said nothing. He had tried, and she gave up. If she needed him, she could follow his scent and find him to work it out, if not, she would go find another wolf to fall for. Females confused him so much, he wasn't sure what he wanted to do about it. It didn't offend him at all that he stayed no where, and he was really glad the pup didn't try to lie to him, because he usually saw right through lies. "Just remember what I said, anyone picks on you, send them to me." he nodded and smirked. Kimaria Gizmo's mouth hung open in shock, he had never been asked what he had wanted to do before, he gave a small yip and nuzzled up against Haku's front leg. There was something he wanted to do, but he wasn't quite sure how his new brother would be able to help.
When he had brought up the subject of Aeria he didn't seem to know who she was, and doubted that the female pup had been anywhere near him or that other large female wolf.
The encouraging words spoken by the adult made him feel even better, he was so glad he had bumped into Haku, even if he had been a little mean at first. He guessed that was how many wolves without any packs often acted to ensure that they would stay alone.
Aeria... He whispered, remembering the first pup he had met on his journey. She had been so kind to him and made him feel happy. I with Aeria, big wolf attacked us. I ran away and... He trailed off, lowering his muzzle, she be eaten. He hated admitting that he had been a coward, but that is what he was. He had left his friend when she had needed him most. Perhaps it was best that they didn't find each other again, she deserved better friends. Kouseki He thought about it for a moment, then smirked. "I'll help you. And if that wolf tries anything, I'll help you out." With a swift nod, he would n** at the pup's back as he sniffed out any scents that might help them. "And I'll help you get revenge on this wolf. You're no coward, you ran because you couldn't attack." With another nod, he would pick Gizmo up by the gruff and run as fast as possible to see Lera. He had a feeling she was in on this. With a small snort, he would stop when he saw the two females there. "Is that her, brother?" His voice was quiet as his steel orbs blinked. Would Lera really attack to helpless pups? Setting the pup down, his left ear would twitch again. Beign the older brother, he moved infront of Gizmo slightly. "Lera," he barlked at her, "Where's the other pup? Brother needs her back." No he wasn't trying to be mean or anything, but he wanted to see the pup happy. It was important for someone his age not to be alone. That's he was at his age and look how he turned out. Otsune "hruff" was all that Lera could get out at the grooming of her head. She was being jerked back and forth, but it felt good, and calmed her. Much as a mother would do to a smell puppy. Her tail batted the ground, thankful that silva was here. A few seconds of grooming passed before Lera spoke, "A lot of things, most not ending too well." She felt as if she was just a small pup looking to just curl up by silva's side and sleep, she had forgotten how good this comforting felt. At the arrival or Haku and Gizma she inwardly groaned. She had more important things to deal with right now, and it appreared to her that Haku no longer seemed to care about her wellbeing, and was more interested in a pup. She di not want to talk, and she made this clear by groaning and sticking her head between Silva's front paws. Kimaria The pup gave a small 'oof' sound at being picked up but allowed himself to be carted away by the strong Haku. He looked ahead, golden eyes searching for any signs of a wolf that might suddenly appear and attack them.
As they drew closer the scent of more wolves caught his nostrils and he squirmed a little as he recognised one as the wolf he had seen when he was with Aeria.
Whimpering quietly as he was set down he simply nodded in answer, backing up until he was hidden behind his brother. Too afraid to stay in full view of the females. He listened with increasing respect as his brother spoke to them with a strength in his voice he knew he could never have.
With another small whine he flattened himself against the ground, wishing he could suddenly become invisible and hidden from the sharp eyes of the adult wolves. Sayuri_Nitta Silva's ears twitched, listening as she groomed Lera, cleaning the wounds. They bled a little again as she washed them, but it wasnt much and now they were clean and could heal without infection hopefully. She knew there were others close by and she growled warningly, before leaving off cleaning; What happened - who did this? Kouseki "Lera, I need to know where the pup is." He would growl at her, the anger from her turning away from him growing in the pit of his stomach. "I thought you cared for me, Lera. Listen to me. I tried to help and you just blew me off. Then you expect me to worship you? I.." He gulped and hung his head. "I love you, but it obviosuly doesn't matter how I feel." With a slight shake of his head, he would look down to the pup. "He hasn't done anything wrong to you. All he wants is his friend back, at least give him that much." He snapped at her, his eyes turning into steel slights towards the other female. "He's all alone, just like me. So let him have his friend. Then I'll be out of your way and alone again." Ouch. That hurt. She didn't care, and there he was spilling his guts and begging for a pp, for another pup that he hardly knew. "My brother needs to have a better life then I did. Please.." He shook slightly as all of his muscles tensed. "I don't want to have to fight you." Sayuri_Nitta Declarations of love, and bloodied wounds? Well she was starting to slowly work out what was going on. She ignored the pup at the males side, and snorted at the expression on his face. You think that look frightens me? she laughed a little. I take it you have something to do with this? and with the tilt of her head she indicated towards Lera's wounds. Kimaria The pup trembled and backed off further, belly pressed to the ground. He shouldn't have come here, the silver wolf who he had thought so vicious was injured and it seemed the other female was in no mood to converse with either him or his brother.
Yet Haku said he loved this wolf? Things were definately getting confusing for the little pup who had just wanted to meet up with his friend again. None of this would have happened if he had just stood up to the female instead of running away.
M-maybe we leave... He squeaked quietly. Otsune Something in Lera finally snapped. Fight him? Ignore him? Hate him? All she knew was that she had stopped the fight last night FOR him, she was the one with the gashes in her shoulder! She was the one with holes in HER face! And after putting her friendship on the line with Notoka for a wolf she had just MET that day! She had gone to sleep without Haku by her side, and had woken up without him by her side! And now he was comming and preeching that she did not care about HIM? That she was sitting here injured where a little put had lost his friend. If anything it was evident that he did not care about HER, because he had not show asingle ounce of love or affection since before the fight last night. " b*****d!" she roared! Her hair pointing up on end, her teeth flashing and snarling wildy, which oepned up the wounds on her face, making them bleed once more. Her tail stuck straight up in the air, and she showed no sign of weakness regardless of her injuries. She was a strong wolf, both physically and mentally. "You don't want to fight me! What made you think I wanted to FIGHT you? I have done nothing to this pup!" she snarled fiercly, ready to fight hi, she would not take one more ounce of this, her heart could not bear to. Kouseki He snarled and looked to Gizmo nodding. "You're right Gizmo. Let's go. he would whisper harshly, his eyes piercing at the two. Picking him up, he would run with him down to a den a few yards away and curled up in there. He was done. Done with all of it. Keeping an eye on Gizmo, he would sigh. "I'm sorry I couldn't get your friend back, looks like we'll have to try again some other time." And with that, he lied his head on his paws and sighed. Love sucked, he was done being yelled at. With a small snort, he would roll around a bit. "You're free to come and go around me as you please Gizmo." he murmured before sighing again.

Past RP||28th DecemberA brother - continued Kimaria The pup knew nothing of love, or atleast nothing that Haku and that other female were going through. By the looks of it love hurt, and the sight of that fiersome female made him think that he would be better sticking just with male wolves for now, not including Aeria of course.
It okay brother Haku He nuzzled up against the male, wondering if he could do anything to cheer him up. I like being with you. He curled up beside him, batting lazily at Haku's tail and rolling onto his back.
He was quite content now, his throat no longer dry from lack of water and his belly full of meat which had tasted wonderful. It seemed as if the winter was not so harsh when he had company, and even though Haku seemed deeply troubled he knew it was too important for a little pup to understand.
He shifted his weight and turned his body so he could see Haku's face, moving closer he licked the elder's muzzle affectionately and settled once again beside him. Kouseki Haku nuzzled the pup warmly. It was nice to have a little brother around. Witha small lick to the pup's forehead, he would smile softly. "I'm glad you like being here, Gizmo." he would murmur and curl up to make sure the pup was warm. There was a few wolves near them, but he stayed at Gizmo's side, for he had been taught not to just leave someone. That would be bad, and he didn't want to lose Gizmo like he had lost Lera. Nuzzling the pup, he would thinking to himself slightlently for a bit. He had a new responsibilty. He had to make sure that Gizmo was all right. He, of course, was the young one's new older brother. And it filled him with pride to be someone's role model. Kimaria The pup nuzzled further into Haku's dark, warm fur and yawned, pink tongue curling in his mouth and eyes closed tight. His breath still misted but he paid that no heed, the cold no longer seemed so bitter to him.
He gave a small yip as Haku curled about him, and settled himself once more, reaching up to lick at the elder's ears affectionately. Maybe it was a custom for adult wolves to curl about the younger ones, since Chagrin had done much the same thing to him when they had met.
Brother, why females crazy? He asked, referring to Lera, still not quite able to get the image of the snarling adult out of his mind. Kouseki He snickered lightly when he heard this and thought about it. "Love, brother. It makes us all crazy. Females are crazy from hormones." THe young pup probably wouldn't understand that, but he figured he might as well try. With a small smirk, he would lick the pup again. "Let me know the next time you get hungry or thirsty brother, and I'll take care of it for you. The black and orange wolf breathed silently and blinked a few times. Well, he wanted to make sure his little brother was happ, and the young pup never failed to amusse him. "Lera and I were just fighting." He shook his head and looked the pup over. Sniffing the air for a scent, he would smell blood, probably some wolf had just gotten a meal or something. With a light shake of his head, he would let his left ear twitch. Kimaria Gizmo snuggled closer still, nodding his head and curling his tail about him, turning his pink nose out towards the forest. Drawing his ears forward he could hear sounds of others, but they were far away and he could make out nothing of what was being said.
He turned back to glance at his brother, Love? He blinked and then nodded slowly, his parents had sure been crazy, but then so had his brother and two sisters and he was pretty sure they had been too mean to love anyone. Hormones? He repeated softly, not quite understanding what was being said, but knowing it must be important. If love made wolves crazy then Gizmo would make sure that he never fell in love with another.
Haku is good to Gizmo. He gave a toothy grin and couldn't help but yawn again. why not good to Lera? So that was the females name, he would make sure to remember it in case he was to ever see her again. Kouseki "Haku is.. mean... I am no good to Lera because I fell for her, and she and I foght. I caused her the loss of a close friend, something which I shouldn't be forgiven for." With a shak of his head, he would stare down at the young pup for a few moments. Sniffing the pup, he would move to stand and look down at it, "What do you say you and I go ice skating?" With a toothy wolvish grin, he would glance over to the pond that was just before them and frozen, covered in a thcik sheet of ice. "I'll race you there, Giz." With a small bark of playfulness that would probably traslate to 'let's go' he would nudge the pup towards the water. "Use your claws and slide around, it's a lot of fun, brother." Nodding with re assurance,he would get onto the ice and look to the pup to see if he would join him. Kimaria The little pup who had listened thoughtfully to his brother had no time to dwell on it. Haku was up on his feet and pushing him towards the icy water.
The excited yip that emanated from the large wolf reawakened the pup inside of him and he answered loudly, forepaws raising off the ground as he accepted the challenge.
He dashed over to the ice, and peered at it again, catching the sight of his misty reflection in it's surface. With a small bark he placed one paw on the ice, whimpering at how cold it felt.
Glancing up to check that Haku was still there he leapt onto the ice, his four paws skidding across the smooth surface. He struggled for a moment in what must have looked a comical sight before slipping and landing on his stomach, legs splayed out around him. He glanced up sheepishly at his brother and gave a small yip, Slippery. He explained. Kouseki He chased after the pup in the snow. Yeah, he was fast enough to catch the rabbit, but wanted Gizmo to try on his own. "You can do it, brother! I believe in you!" Smiling, his tongue would hang out of the side out his mouth as he ran along side his brother, his paws hitting the gorund in an even motion, muscles working hard and using his stregth to make sure the pup wouldn't end up alone in the middle of no where. Who needed a pack? It could just be them. The two of them. Two brothers. He watched his brother's clumsy-ness and roll his steel-coloured eyes before keeping up with him. He could have easily gotten ahead, but wanted to stay with the pup, the scent of Lera and two others filling his nose as he got closer, but he tried to block them out. Kimaria Gizmo lifted his muzzle and was hit with the scent of more wolves, some that he didn't know. He gave the tiniest of whimpers and slowed in his pace, eyes still searching for the rabbit.
Brother, wolves ahead. He spoke softly, turning his head to gaze at the large wolf running by his side. It felt so good to be seen with the huge male, even better to be running with someone rather than alone. Yet with the scent of strangers brought back thoughts of Aeria and he could not help but worry for her safety. He did not want to trust anyone until he had seen her safe and sound with his own two eyes. Kouseki "I know, brother." He said with a light growl. "Let's just go back to our cave and let them be." With a small sniff, he would pick up the pup by the gruff of his neck and took off with the oddly colored light wolf in his mouth. His four paws pounded into the ground as he made his way the few yards back to the cave where they stayed. He set the pup down in a laing position again, and then snuggled against him, a smirk on his face. Curling up around the pup, he would rest, his breath coming out in thick, heavy puffs of hot air that mixed with the crisp air to make a white smoke-like thing. Kimaria The little brother gave the customary 'oof' sound as he was picked up, glad that he wouldn't have to walk back to the den. He listened to Haku's paws strike the ground and closed his eyes, imagining the day when he would be able to run as fast as he.
When he was set down Gizmo gave another yawn, licking his pink nose and gave a deep sigh as the large wolf curled about him again. He reached out, licking Haku's dark muzzle affectionately before tucking his head against the large male's furry side.
It wasn't long before the pup was snoozing, dreaming not of the horrors of his past, but of wolves, one of which looked remarkably like Aeria and the other resembling Haku. Already he was beginning to feel happier, no longer wallowing in the pains of his past, old wounds beginning to heal.

Past RP||29th Decemberhunting lesson Kouseki He nudge the younger pup awake with his nose. "Come on, Giz. Let's go find a snack. There should be a small group of rabbits just outside, from what I can smell. Want to see if we can catch any?" Moving from around the kid, he would strech out like a cat, and shake his black and orange fur. Yawning, his huge mouth would hope, and his tongue stick out before drawing it back inwards. "You should be a good hunter, soon. Strong, fast and intellegent. You have to remember bunnies aren't as smart as we are." With a slight nod, he would help his brother up, the trot to the enterence of the cave and stare out at a group of twenty or so snow bunnies. "You want to give it a shot?" Nipping at the young one's ear, he would get in a ready psoition to track a bunny down for a ligt snack, but he wanted Giz to have the first shot at it, just incase he caught one. Kimaria The small pup gave a smull whuff, opening his eyes and looking up at Haku groggily not quite sure why he had been woken up. At the mention of his rabbits however, it did not take long before the little pup was on his feet, finding himself yawning along with his brother.
Snapping his jaws shut he got to his paws and shook his fur, the little pup definately wanted to be a good hunter, being able to catch meals alone would mean never having to rely on a pack so the whole idea appealed to him greatly.
He gave a loud sneeze which sent him back a little, shaking his head and twitching his ears as if he had not realised what had happened. Bunnies not smart? He tilted his head questioningly. Gizmo had always believed that all animals were intelligent, but if what Haku said was true than catching them should be easy. I catch them, he nodded and slipped out from the small den into the cold snow.
He raised his head first, sniffing at it delicately and trying to pick up a scent in the bitter wind. At first he smelt nothing but the pine trees which was indeed a comforting smell to the little pup. Raising his muzzle higher still he finally managed to pick out the scent of rabbit and not being able to contain a small yip of excitement crawled forwards along the snow. His white fur camouflaged him well despie the array of brown patches.
Creeping ever forwards he squeezed beneath the line of bushes and spotted the white rabbits, they did appear to be doing nothing intelligent from what the pup could tell.
From his crouched position he turned his head back, ears drawn forward to check on his brother, who could easily be seen against the white of the snow. Ready? He whispered, breath misting in the air before his muzzle. Kouseki he smirked and lowered himself a bit more to the ground, the snow covered ground making his stmoach slightly cold. With a slight nod, he would slink away to the only escape way and then look to Gizmo. He had faith in his little brother, and he kenw he could do it. "Go!" He barked out and bounced on a rabbit, sending them to run in the pup's direction. He would snap his jaws shut around the rabbit's neck and swung it back and forth to make sure it was dead, then set it on teh ground, before picking it up again. Blood dripped down the sides of his mouth as he rose to his normal height again, to watch the pup. "Get'em brother!" He would call and watch the pup with a smile. He wasn't trying to say all bunnies werren't smart, just that this batch looked more stupid than the normal bunny. With anopther light shake of his head, he would sniff to make sure no other wolves were coming. He didn't want to be bothered on his hunt with his little brother. His tail wagged slightly as he watched the pup move around. "You can do it, Gizmo! Focus!" Kimaria At Haku's bark Gizmo readied himself in the snow, positioning his body so that he could pounce with ease. His brother, the strong, magificent wolf - who in the pup's eyes could do nothing wrong - had faith in him and there was no way that the little pup would leave without a rabbit clutched in his jaws.
Gizmo's heart pounded in his chest as he watched the rabbits dash in all directions as the huge wolf tore into their little gathering. Everything was madness, the little furries dashing this way and that, obviously too stupid to know what to do.
The pup gave a snall snarl, his muzzle wrinkling as he readied himself, eyes fixing on a small and distressed rabbit which had wheeled round to run straight at him. If the bunny spotted the pair of golden eyes glaring at him from the bushes it gave no sign.
The excitement gathering in Gizmo's young muscles, itched to be let free and as it was he pounced a little too soon, the rabbit ending up gathered in his forepaws rather than in his teeth. The long-eared creature wasted no time and twisted it's body round so that it could bound off.
With an excited yip the pup gave chase, tearing after the little rabbit as fast as his paws would take him. Yet the rabbit proved too swift on it's feet and always managed to stay ahead, ducking and diving beneath the bushes which were causing the larger animal problems. Gizmo feared that he would lose the catch and put on an extra burst of speed, ignoring the whip of branches against his face as he continued on.
Perhaps it was Gizmo's intelligence or pure luck that he had managed to herd the rabbit towards a large fallen tree, but the little animal skidded to a halt, crashing into the branches of the felled pine and gave a shrill squeak of fear. Not wasting any more time, the pup was on the rabbit. Shaking it by the throat until it's legs ceased to kick.
Dropping it's limp body on the ground the pup watched the snow absorb the sweet-smelling red liquid and quickly he turned to look around for his brother. Oh how he hoped that Haku had seen him catch the stupid little animal. Kouseki The dark wolf had chased after the two so he could catch what the pup was doing. Yes, it was perfect, the pup was going to be a great hunter, especially with such a great teacher. "You did it, brother! I'm so proud to have you as my little brother." Nodding his head to add reassurance, he would move to the pup, drop his rabbit next to the pups and lick the blood from his lips. Nuzzle the pup softly, he would n** at it's forehead to show his pride. "You're going to be a better hunter than me, someday." Nodding his head slightly, he would smile. With a small bark of happness, the oddly-coloured male would dig into his snack, and eat. This had to be one of his best meals; one, he was sharing it with someone and two, his brother caught his own meal. "Looks like you're all grown up. You've proved them all wrong, brother." It was now true, that niether of them needed a pack. Thogh, he hated to admit it, but he kind of needed the pup as well. He loved his little brother, and it was so much better than being alone all of the time. The fresh rabbit meat was very good, it was tender and softly. Licking even more blood from his lips, he would move to the pond again. The part he had broken last time had frozen over again, so he chose another spot and did the same as before, breaking the ice with his foot to lap it up. The water was rather cold and felt like it was freezing his throat, but it was better than nothing. Kimaria Gizmo had never felt so wonderful as he had at that moment, he was really becoming a proper wolf and it was all thanks to Haku. He nuzzled his brother back affectionately, wagging his tail back and forth in joy. Furries stupid. Gizmo smirked and lowered his head to tear at the rabbit, it's downy fur tickling against his nose and causing him to sneeze again.
Yes...Haku was right, he had proved his pack wrong and he was doing fine. He would survive the winter no matter what they had said and he would also live outside of a pack. Yet he hoped that didn't mean leaving his brother, for he had become rather attached to the black and orange wolf.
He did not eat all of the rabbit, leaving the remains on the bloodied snow and following his brother. He had hunted more for practise than anything, especially after all the deer he had eaten the day before.
At the side of the pond he sat and regarded his brother as he once again tried to crack the ice. Golden eyes observing the movement carefully, although Haku made the task look simple enough the pup did not think he would have enough strength to break through that solid layer.
He waited a few more moments before standing up again, placing a paw tentatively on the ice and glancing at the water he could see moving beneath the solid substance. Kouseki He nodded. "Yeah they are." Lapping up some of the cold water, he would glance over to his little brother. "I'll teach you how to hunt and survive on your own." With a light yawn, he would go back to drinking for a few moments, the icy water feeling good on his tongue. He was still very proud, that his little brother was all ready a good hunter. He too, didn't want to leave Giz, for he'd grown rather found of the little fuzzball. So as much as his power would let him, he would be around for the little wolf as long as it wanted him to stay. His black foot was a bit wet as he broke more ice. Canting his head, he would move over closer to his brother and smirk. "What're you looking at, brother?" He put his front paws on the ice and stared down too, but was still light enough for the ice not to crack. A small little fish thingy saw just under the ice and caused the black and orange wolf a bit of a startle before he pressed his nose against the thick ice, sniffing it. His nose was very cold from doing this, but the fish was rather interesting. How could it live in water this cold? Kimaria Gizmo nodded in response, I want to be hunter wolf. He replied, eyes still intently watching the ice and the water contained beneath. His tail swished slightly as he continued to watch, ears drawn forwards and nose hovering just above the ice.
But I want to stay with you. He continued, Is okay? He questioned, not wanting to be alone. He knew that one day he would have to leave, he craved to see Aeria again and he could never truly be happy until he knew she was safe and sound.
As Haku came over to where the little pup was standing he too caught sight of the strange creature swimming about beneath the ice. Similar thoughts ran through his mind and he instantly looked up at Haku, Slippery things not get cold? He questioned, licking his lips and lowering his head to watch them swim.
He could not remember what the slippery and shiny things were called, but he had often seen members of his old pack going to the river to catch them. He pawed at the ice, but had little effect on it. They good for eating? He asked Haku, ever curious. Kouseki "You will be a great hunter, I can tell by your spirit." With a light nod, he would smile and look over the pup who was easily amussed by the ice before them. His tail swished in time with his, so it looked like they were planning it, but really weren't. "Of course you can stay with me." With a slight nod, the black wolf would move to nuzzle him softly. "We should form a pack, just you and me! And maybe your friend if she isn't in one already.." He thought about it before looking the pup over. "We could run wild and free, and have a lose pack where we could be real brothers!" He smirked at the idead, then stopped. "But, if you don't want to, you and I can just hang out until we find Aeria, then see what happens from there." With a light shrug, he would think about the other questions he was asked. "They're fish, and I guess not." With a small shrug, he would breath against the ice and stare into it again. "I've heard they taste good, too." With a small bark at the fish, he would dig at the ice playfully to see if the fish would come up to see what was going on. Kimaria I shall practise and practise! Gizmo barked happily, his tail continuing to wag. He had never been this happy in his whole - short - life and he hoped it would last a long time to come.
He was glad that Haku would allow him to stay but he really wasn't sure what his future held. All he knew was that he did not want to go back to a community where he would be treated as nothing more than a silly little runt.
Aeria be in a pack? He clung to Haku's words as if they were true, a sinking feeling in his heart. If she was in a pack then they could never be proper friends unless he joined too. He shuddered slightly and lowered his head. Just you...and me... He whispered thoughtfully, following the fish with his eyes as they swam about. That be good.
At Haku's bark, Gizmo leapt onto his feet again, jumping onto the ice and slipping onto his belly. He gave a small whimper as he struggled back onto his paws, shaking his head and moving with more careful steps. Kouseki "And I'll be there to help you every step of the way, Giz." Nuzzling his brother softly, he would smile. Yeah, this made him very happy too. It was SO nice to have someone look up to you, but to have a little brother.. and they could get so much done together! Yes.. it would be them two. Two brothers. Nipping at the young one's ear, he would move his nose under the pup's belly to help him be stable, then over to the snow, where the larger would sat on his haunches and looked down at the pup with a smile. "You and I will always be brothers, Giz. No matter where we end up." After that was said, he would nuzzle the pup before moving to stand. "And.. if Aeria wants, Aeria may join so you and her can be good friends again. I promise we'll find her. I'll help in every way possible." The larger wolf, glanced at his surroundings, then sniffed the air for any kind of scent. He wanted to find lera, show her the pup and explain what he now had planned. The pup was not going to leave his side until it wanted to, and now he was sure of it. "No scents near by." He huffed a moist puff of hot breath came from his mouth as he spoke. Kimaria Gizmo huffed with a pleased tone and after being stabled by his brother he slipped over to where Haku had gone and rolled over in the snow, glancing up at the sky. The moon hardly ever revealed itself during winter, the sky always being too cloudy and easily capable of hiding her delicate light.
He sighed, his breath wreathing around his muzzle as he wriggled in the snow. He was beginning to grow used to the cold and it no longer affected him as it had when he had first left to wander alone.
We be like the stars. He whispered so that only Haku could hear him. We shine brighter when together. He sighed, realising this could also be placed on a pack, for surely many wolves working together would shine much brighter than one who stood alone in the darkness. Gizmo knew in his heart that a wolf in a pack could achieve things that one alone could never do, yet he was content here with his brother.
If Aeria join, then light will increase. He continued, his strange obsession with the stars quite obvious in the way he spoke. She may not want to...she might want big pack. Kouseki He lied next to him, then moved to roll onto his back as well, his belly pointed to the air. "You're right. Well I could ask Lera to help me out.. be the alpha and such. Make the pack with us.. Then we'd shine a bit brighter. And Aeria.. We'll just give her the option." He smiled and was content there with his brother, before he sniffed the air. "Lera.. KUSO!" Flipping the pup over with his nose, he would pick him off and take off towards the scent of heavy blood. Not just anyone's... but Lera's. Snarling he would set the pup down and look down at Lera, lapping up the wound to try to save her. "Lera.. I want you.. I want you to make a pack with me." he offered nuzzling her fur softly, after glancing back to Gizmo to check if it was all right. "I'm so sorry for everything I've done to you.. I'm.. so sorry." Nuzzling her again, he would lap at the wounds. "I love you." His voice was gruff and very small, he was afraid that he was going to lose her or something. "I want there to be a pack, just you me, and Gizmo, and Gizmo's friend Aeria.. We could be a lose pack, but all stick together. We could rule our own lands and hunt and do everything. We could have pups and watch Gizmo and.. just be all right and answer me, will you?" Glancing back to his little brother again, he would have a pained look. "Maybe I shouldn't have come back, Giz.." he sighed and shook his head, moving to turn around. Kimaria The little pup was carted off once more, not quite sure what was happening and when he was dropped on the ground he made himself content to listen.
His eyes widened slightly at the sight of the poor female, and even he - who had feared her terribly - knew that no wolf deserved to be so terribly wounded. He had crept forwards by the time Haku had finished speaking and at his last statement felt an anger rise within him.
Seemingly forgetting how much he adored that black and orange brother of his he wrinkled his muzzle and raised his hackles as best to his abilties. She hurt! He yelled, teeth clipping together as he stood strong. You stay! Protect! He moved closer still, eyeing the female warily and turned to gaze at his brother, the anger replaced with sadness.
She need you... His last statement was merely a whisper but he knew the sharp-eared wolf would hear. Otsune Lera laid pathetically on the snow, crying out in pain. She didn't even notice the two wolves that stood beside her, she couldn't feel their tongues against her body, she couldn't smell them. She looked around, and only saw two blurry figures and their dark silouettes against the night sky. She gave a whine, her head laying on the cold snow, her chest heaving air into her body. Nothing was damaged internally, and the punctured holes in her chest were too shallow to reach and vital organs. But damn, it hurt. She whined in pain and attempted to stand. Kouseki He looked at Giz, who had the courage to stand up to him like that. With a small smile, he would nod and take his place, sittting right beside her. "You're right, brother. You stay too." Nuzzling the female before him, he would lick at her ear playfully. Yes, he did have sharp hearing in his right ear, and his left ear kept twitching. Maybe this was where he was supposed to be. Right along side her, with his smart little brother sitting with him. Nuzzling her again, he would lap at the wounds and lok her over. "I think we should wait a bit, then try to get her to our den, all right, Giz?" He was still rather worried about her, but didn't mind staying with her like this. "Giz, you remember your hunting training, right? You think you could catch something for her to eat? Because she's probably very hungry at the moment." Looking the female over again, he would smirk. It would be fun to be an alpha, as it would be fun for her to be an alpha as well. "forget it, we don't have time to wait." With a light shake of his head,he would help her up, then move so that she was laying limplessly over his back, and moved towards the cave that he and Giz shared. Sighing, he would set her down in the cave, away from the harsh snow. Kimaria The pup nodded, the fur along his back smoothing once more and he turned swiftly, wondering if he would be able to catch something for the injured wolf. He knew he had to do something to help, there was no way he would ever forgive himself if anything bad happened to her.
Loping through the snow he continued onwards, moving swiftly and silently apart from the quiet crunch of snow beneath his paws. He panted heavily despite trying not to and crouched beneath some undergrowth pushing himself through it. A thorn from the bush scratched a small cut into his nose and he whimpered, lowering his head and pressing on.
Shivering at the silence of the forest he paused in his step, coming out into a small clearing and tilting his head to the side, sniffing the air for any scents. It was during this that his keen eyes spotted a movement in the bushes a few meters ahead, and slinking forwards he focused on the point.
The movement stopped and suddenly from the bushes crept a furry creature which was definately not a rabbit. In fact it was much smaller and definately more stupid since it crawled right over to him. Dipping his head he crunched the furry's head in his jaws and trotted off with it, hoping that this little morsal would be enough for now. He knew he could always go back and search for more if needed, he would do anything for his brother.
When he reached the place where Lera had been found he shivered at the smell of blood, it was so strong and putrid that he almost yelped in fear. He also sensed more wolves around, possibly ones who had fought with the female.
Making quick steps it was not long before he reached the den, peering in he gave a low whuff and dropped the furry on to the ground.

Past RP||30th DecemberA Pack? Kouseki He nodded, for he was VERY tired. So he closed his eyes and drifted to sleep next to her. His breath became even as the dark wolf nuzzled into her, cuddling closer in his sleep. Time skip~ Later that day he would peel his eye open to see her. yeah, he had slept for a few hours and was feeling a lot better. It would be easier if they had Beta to watch out for the alphas to sleep every now and then. But they needed to formally make a pack first. "Do you have any ideas for wolves you want to join us, Lera?" He would ask, nuzzling her neck softly. "Can you move yet?" Otsune Lera wtached his fall asleep, and continued to groom his fur, falling back to sleep shortly. The feme wolf awoke a bit after he did and gave him a morning lick, "good morning," she murmured. Wolves to join our pack? hmm, she thought about it. Many, many wolves had joined Selia's pack, and she was unsure of how many remained in the woods. "No I cannot think of any wolves at the moment," she said whilem shaking her head. "Can I move..?" Lera asked, repeating the question. She was so sure herself. She shifted her weight onto her belly, and attepmted to raise herself up with her front paws on to feel a seering pain run down her leg accompanied by the flaky cracking sound of some of her gashes reopening. "Nope!" o.-! she immediatly said, returning to her laying position. Kimaria Gizmo lay at the entrance of the small den, head on paws and ears drawn forwards to keep an eye out for danger. The wolves behind i had been quiet and he thought that maybe they were asleep. So he - being an honourable pup - decided to stay guard and protect his brother and Lera from harm.
He shivered slightly and curled his tail about him, burying his muzzle between his two paws and sighing.
He gave a small huff and licked at his paws, being sure to keep his eyes out for any danger. The forest had been satisfyingly quiet since he had arrived at the den but there was a foreboding that came with the silence which made the pup nervous.
He turned as he heard movement in the den and saw that his brother had awoken, and gave a small yip of happiness before turning back to watch the forest again. Kouseki With a small growl, he would mental curse at himself for even asking for such. Licking at the wounds that reopened, he would nuzzle her softly again, before moving just in between her and Giz, so that he could talk to them both, and have them hear him. "Since we're starting a pack, I would like to talk about it. Naturally, Lera and I are the alphas.. Even though you're a bit young, I want you to think about being the Beta, Giz. There are only a few others that we could invite to be with us.. Carmne and you're friend.. But does that sounds good enough for you two?" He smirked and looked the two over. It would take a lot of work and a lot of responsability, but they could do this. He knew it. And once Lera was better, everything would be fine. Kimaria Gizmo said nothing, still facing the forest outside. The scent of a nearby wolf caught at his nostrils but it was too far away for his untrained nose to distinguish.
So...it seemed pack life for a wolf could not be escaped, he would be trapped in the boundaries of a heirarchy just as before. Yet being a beta was surely much better than being a straggling runt.
He shook his muzzle slowly, he couldn't settle until he had found Aeria even if that meant departing the brother he loved dearly. Perhaps when he had found the female he could return but would they want him back?
So many thoughts rattled through his young mind, confusing and disturbing him so that he could barely think straight.
Finally he turned to face his brother, wishing deep in his heart that Haku would reconsider. He was just a scraggly pup who longed to be free to do what he pleased.
He gave a low whine and flopped down onto his belly, not sure what to say or do. Otsune Lera Listened to Haku and then suddenly realized Gizmo was here. Wow, what a reliable pup, had he been there the whole time? o.o She then suddenly remembered - "Oh! Gizmo, I wanted to apologize. Your friend, Aeria. I took her to my den and fed her, she slept and that was the last I saw of her. She is safe, though, I would just like to assure you that," she nodded regretting her rage over the past few days. Actually, no, she didn't regret it. An outburst once in a while was good n0n She laid her head on her paws. Camen was a friend, even if she was a wolf with a vicious temper, possibly even worse than Lera biggrin But that, to, had become friends. Lera quietly nodded in agreement. Kouseki Haku looked to the pup and sighed he knew this wasn't really what the pup wanted, moving over to nuzzle him softly, he would look him over. "I know you hate packs.. And I know you can't settle down until you see her again, I'm not saying you have to stay with us.. But I really want you to, brother. In the end, what you do, will always be you're choice, but I will always, always be your older brother. Not matter where your heart takes you." He smile down at the pup then moved to sit next to Lera again. Even if was just them too.. he would gladly stay next to her like this forever. That's what love was all about, after all. Kimaria The pup lifted his head to gaze at Lera, and listened to her words with a warmth in his heart. If Lera had indeed not eaten his friend then she was fine! But...that did also mean she may be alone in the forest somewhere. It okay Lera, as long as Aeria is okay. His golden eyes regained their sparkle, and he nuzzled gently at his brother when he looked at him.
He tilted his head up and sighed, his heart and mind conflicting in such a confusing way. I stay... He said quietly, knowing he could be of no use to Aeria as a skinny little pup. One day I go search. For now I be with you.
He got up onto his paws and went to lay beside Lera, licking at her muzzle before lying his head once again on his paws. He was sleepy after all that guarding. Otsune Lera nodded at the pup and then accepted the lick towards her muzzle. She returned the favor by looking over to Gizmo's body and giving him aw few licks on the top of his head and a small muzzle, happy that he was resting. They would surely find Aeria before they left, as well as Carmen. But still the questions lingered in her mind...what other wolves. she definatly didn't want Carmen to suffer the same fate that she did before she had met Haku. Ah, her head hurt, she needed rest. Lera looked over to Haku, nuzzling him on the cheek and too, giving him a fw licks before laying her own head down on the warm floor of the winter cave, closing her eyes in attempt to get some more needed rest. Kouseki He smiled. "We'll go and look as a pack.. as soon as Lera's better. I promise you." He whispered, licking the pup softly before sitting up striaght and takinghis turn for the watch again. Their first pack mission, would be to find this Aeria and ask her to stay with them as well. And if she decilned, Giz could go with her. He glanced back at the two and smile. This was good.. he had a good feeling about their new pack. They would make it. Next thing they needed to do.. claim territory. He was thinking somewhere in the East, but that could be thought about later. The dark wolf would look out into the snow, trying to smell out any danger, but not finding any. His little brother, and his love, they looked so cute curled up and sleeping like that, he wouldn't mind taking on all of this responsiblity.. not as long as they could all be happy, at least for now. Kimaria Gizmo was content, and sighed deeply when Lera turned to lick at his fur. It reminded him of his mother when he had been but a newborn, but perhaps a little less rough he acknowldeged thoughtfully.
Through half-lidded eyes he spotted his brother moving to position by the den entrance and he felt inclined to sleep. He rolled himself over so he was lying on his side, back pressing gently against the large females side as he did so.
Find Aeria... He whispered, showing that he had heard his brother's words.
It wasn't long before the little pup was deeply asleep, the events of the day tiring him out fully. Kouseki He smirked and kept thinking about their new pack-life. It would be great.. and he loved the fact that they all wanted to do this. Giving a small nuzzle to lera, and a n** to Gizmo, he would get up and moved closer to the enterence of the cave. This was his job, he needed to look out for his family. With a small yawn, he sat down on his haunches and gazed over the land scape. They would need food soon, but he would deal with that once someone was up, for now he wanted them to sleep, both Lera and Gizmo needed it. He smelt the faint scent of wolves running around, but did nothing about it, after all, they weren't bothering them, so he didn't want to pick a fight or something. Kimaria Gizmo's nose twitched slightly in his sleep, one hind leg kicking out in reflex. His dreams not situated on his family or the pack that he had hated so much. Instead he dreamt of the long-eared furries who bounded this way and that, he was chasing them but somehow never caught them. Instead he herded them this way and that, not allowing them to get away and snapping at their heels if they got tired, for nothing could outwit the hunting master Gizmo!
He gave a small growl in his throat which broke the peace of the den and his lips twitched into a small snarl.
The furries thought they could outwit him but he would show them, nothing could escape from his powerful jaws. He dashed about, never once tiring, his paws moving with incredible grace across the ground as he once again gained control of the little fuzzy creatures. Kouseki He smirked when he saw Gizmo and wondered what the pup was dreaming about. They would want food when they got up, he decided, so he glanced back at them before taking off. He had to make sure they didn't notice he was gone. There was a small heard of deer only a little bit from the cave and he picked out a small baby one, using his super speed and skillfullness to chase it down and bite it's next, making sure he snapped it. Then, with a grun, drug it ack to the den and lied it near them for when they got up. Licking the blood off his lips he would lie down at the enterence and continue thinking about what their pack would need. A hunting party.. probably once Gizmo got better.. Not sure. Kimaria The scent of blood reached the pup in his dreams, and he found himself standing alone. The long-eared furries had suddenly dissapeared, finally managing to escape from his teasing.
The pup trembled, glancing up at the sky, seeking comfort in the moon. To his surprise the usually pleasantly white orb was a blood red, the color seemed to be absorbed by the stars until he was cast into an eerie red glow.
He sneezed, trying to rid himself of the putrid sent of blood and his hind legs would twitch in his sleep as he leapt forwards to bound into the forest.
His paws had seemed to lose their grace and he stumbled and fell over roots, rocks and dips in the ground which seemed to appear from nowhere. He gave a yelp which would be audible to Haku as he hit the ground for the upteenth time, his eyes falling on a body fallen and broken in the clearing he had run into.
With a long whimper he approached the body, perhaps it was a deer his brother had helped catch, or something else...yet from the smell he already knew what it was...or rather...who it was.
The pup gave a few ear-splitting yelps, his ears twitching as he dove forward to nuzzle at the limp body, finding himself staring into the lifeless eyes of Aeria.
His body thrashed in his sleep, whimpers making themselves audible as the wolf struggled to wake up from his nightmare. Kouseki Haku smelt the blood of the deer, and understood why his brother was suddenly thrashing, sighing, he would take the deer, and move it outside the cave, burrying it in the snow to keep it fresh for later. With a small sigh, he would move back to the pup. He screwed up, stupid Haku. Nudging the pup softly, he would nuzzle him. "You're okay, brother, it was just a deer that I caught, don't worry about it. Wake up, brother..." He was rather worried and kept nudging the poor pup with his nose, trying to get himi to wake form the nightmare. Kimaria Gizmo gave a small yelp, eyes flying open as he rolled up onto his stomach, finding himself staring at Haku's black and orange face. He gave a small whimper and dove forwards, running up to his brother and nuzzling against his chest.
Just dream... He managed to say after a moment or two, hiding his face against Haku's dark side to muffle his whimpers so as not to wake Lera from her sleep. Kouseki He smiled and nodded, nuzzling his brother softly. "I'm sorry, I didn't think deer blood would affect you while you were sleeping." With a small shake of his head, he would n** at the pup's ear affectionatly. "You can go back to sleep, or eat. Whatever you wish to do, brother." Nuzzling the pup more, he would look towards the baby deer that was burried in snow. Quote: Gizmo peered up at his brother, and nodded his head and got up onto his paws. I go walk. He replied, he needed some fresh air to calm his thoughts and he wasn't particularly hungry. Best leave Lera to eat her fill since she would need her strength to heal.
With a small yip the pup padded over to the entrance turning back to gaze at his brother and Lera. Won't be long. He said before dipping his head and trotting out into the snow. A slow drift had begun to fall from the dark sky, landing on his fur and melting against the heat of his body. With a small yip he jumped into the air, snapping his jaws around the snowflakes before landing on the ground into a deep layer of snow which came up to his shoulders.
With a yelp of surprise he scrambled back into the thinner layers and continued onwards, lowering his head to snuffle through the snow, ears flattened back so that no snow could get into them.
It was good to walk, and it helped clear his mind of all thoughts. When he reached the pond he would sit back on his haunches and raise his muzzle to the sky, giving a squeaky howl. Perhaps Aeria was nearby and would be able to hear it wherever she was, atleast it would be better than doing nothing to try and find her.
He cleared his throat, wondering how long it would take before he could howl properly, before trying again, still not quite satisfied with the result.

Past RP||30th DecemberThe Proud and Mighty Gaara Kimaria Gizmo gave one last try at a howl, drawing in a deep breath and throwing back his head to the best effect. It was much louder but didn't sound as good as he hoped.
With a small huff he got up and headed away from the pond, back into the area of the forest where he had first set eyes on Lera when he had been with Aeria. Perhaps if he searched there he might find clues to her whereabouts and it wasn't too far from the den.
Gathering his energy he began to trot in the correct direction, head low to the ground so he could snuffle through the snow as he went. Perhaps his nose would pick up her scent. Nikui He snorted, panting heavily from his trip back from his traveling pack. He had come back in search of others to bring back to the pack lands..he knew the trail, and he had paid attention to Fae's scent so he could find his way back...If it were to snow, he would head back immediatly.
Sighing, he shook out his fur, and stretched his long legs. He was getting bigger, growing from pup to adolescent soon. Eyeing another pup, not too far from him, who had just attempted to howl, he arched a brow...Wrinkling his maw, he moved towards Gizmo, his tail and head high, swerving lightly on his feet with every step. Kimaria Gizmo who had been busy with his pink nose buried in the snow had not noticed the approaching pup until he was only a few meters away. With a startled squeak he paused mid-stride and took a nervous step back, knowing he was too far from the den to call for help.
This pup was larger than him, and barely a pup at all and his dark fur made him seem almost menacing.
He flattened himself against the snow - an automatic reaction - as if he could dissapear from sight and be overlooked, but he knew that it was hopeless. The older one had spotted him and he had been stupid to think otherwise.
Finally finding his voice he raised his muzzle slightly and spoke as loudly as he dared. Who you? Nikui He snorted, and canted his head back. "Why the fear in your eyes? I see no reason to be scared yet, pup." Though he shouldn't use that title for the wolf before him, he did...He felt higher than Gizmo, for good reasonings.
"Why do you want to know?" He snapped, with a good growl mixed in...he was obviously not too happy. He smelt other wolves on the pup, so he presumed he already had a pack anyway. So much for recruiting wolves... Kimaria He whimpered and took another step back, eyes fixed upon the stranger's not daring to look away in case the other attacked. Perhaps if he did call, Haku would hear him or maybe it would just provoke this stranger into attacking.
Pawing at the snow sheepishly he drew his ears forward and tilted his head in a gesture of innocence. You rather me call you, wolf? He replied, wondering why one's name should be kept secret.
He tried not to let the growl bother him, but could not help wincing at the harsh sound. Nikui "Gaara." He replied, snorting back at the pup in light rage. He smelt that white wolf..Selia? No, it was different. But similar. "You with that damned wolf? The white one with black markings?" He snapped, wanting to know..maybe if he threw this pup around a bit it'd piss the pack off...but, it wasn't Selia, it was someone else.
"Coward," he grumbled, and rolled his eyes. "You need to learn to defend yourself." He stamped his pas forward, sending a good amount of snow up at the pup before him.[] I feel bad. xD;; Gizmo is adorable, and Gaara's bein' mean. [] Kouseki "I'll be back, Lera." With a small snort, he traced Gizmo down and saw Gaara standing there teasing him. With a light growl, he would move to the pup's side and stand there, glaring down at the pup who was making fun of his little brother. "If your looking for a fight, maybe I can help you." The dark wolf would snap at the brown-ish wolf with a louder growl. He wasnt gonna just let Gizmo be teased like that. "You're no match for me, pup." With a small nuzzle to Gizmo, he would look the odd pup over. "Leave my brother alone." Kimaria Gaara? hmm what a strange name. Gizmo wrinkled his nose in thought and then blinked in confusion at the older pup's question. White wolf? Black markings? He shook his head fiercely and gave the tiniest of whimpers. I not know any white wolf. He confirmed.
At the insult, Gizmo could not help but admit to himself how true it was, but surely he could not beat this other in a fight, and nor did he want to fight. I defend fine. He grumbled.
You bigger, I smaller. He reasoned, dipping his head slightly and twitching the end of his tail. Nikui He stood there, staring at the male before him. His mind sent a twinge down his spine, and he snarled wickedly. "Let him fight his own battles! He'll just be picked off by a bear, anyway." He snapped, baring rather large canines for the pup's size.
"Grow a backbone, pup." He growled towards Gizmo, and parted his maw a bit, allowing his tongue to slip over those ebony lips of his..soon being replaced by those fangs. Otsune Lera gave a groggy look to Haku as he left the den, a rather perturbed look on his face. Uh-oh lera thought to herself. She just wasn't about to stand aside and let another fight break out, not like she stood in fear that one night... Lera felt the presence of the old wolf near Gizmo. ...Gaara? Hoo, she hadn't seen that pup for a long while! But...he left with Fae's pack...didn't he? Lera knew that Haku was Selia's brother, and knew that Gaara had a grudge against Selia. This wasn't going to end well. Now there were two choices: go over there physically and sort things out, or do it mentally. She would guess that Gaara wouldn't like Seeing Haku very much biggrin ; and Haku wouldn't like the fact that Gaara would bash his sister. GAARA! Lera shouted in his mind, hoping for an obvious response. Nikui These pack lands used to belong to his Alpha, but after they had moved, they were freed to anyone who claimed'em. "I know manners, but not to sniveling pups like you."
He glared up at Haku, and smirked at him slowly.."Fight me, ohso powerful mongrel." He snapped, raising his head and tail high and mightily..only to hit Haku's pride and ego, since, well, this was a challenge to him. Kouseki The large wolf was not about to be insulted like that and snapped at the pup growling widely. "I said leave him alone. You want a fight, I'll give you a fight." Snapping at the pup again, he would let his ears flatten against his head, a bit of drool coming from his fangs. "He's my brother, and I won't allow you to talk to him that way." He kept snapping his teeth at the pup. "I don't take anything from anyone anymore, pup. You picked the wrong alpha to screw over." With a rather loud growl he would move forward towards the pup. "And Selia.. If I EVER hear you talking about my BLOOD sister like that again, I will rip you limb from limb." Nikui "BITE ME." He snapped, well, that was weird for a wolf to say. xD;; Insulting in a, well, human manner. "You couldn't tear a damned limb from a tree!" He growled, and snapped back at him, almost grazing the flesh of Haku's muzzle.
He was taken aback when Lera's voice echoed through his head, freezing..and staring with a bewildered look on his face..he swallowed, and would glance around..trying to find the large females..Lera? He questioned in his mind...not really thinking Lera would be able to hear him. Kimaria Gizmo who had backed off a little to give Haku some more room kept the snarl on his face, trying his best to look intimidating. Still...he didn't think it was right for his brother to pick on the pup who was obviously very proud.
The bewildered look on Gaara's face took him by surprise and he drew his ears forward, canting his head to gaze upon the larger pup. You okay? He questioned, seeming to forget what had just been said between them. Otsune Haku! she shouted to him in turn, this is foolish, please stop! God damnit, if she had to stop this herself she would! This was an absolutely foolish battle, in her mind. Nothing but two males, one much old than the other, boasting their pride. She slowly rose to her feet, pain encasing her body. She oculd feel the blood from wounds reopening starting to run down her sides. She silently cursed to herself before opening up her mind wider. Stop this immediatly! She snarled in both of their minds. Nikui He shuddered at the sound of her voice..it was her, he knew there was something strange about this female..He sniffed, looked to Haku and Gizmo...and randomly broke into a sprint in the direction of Lera. He smelt blood, and there was pain in her voice...even if she couldn't quite show emotion through the voice..he could tell, somehow.
He slowed...sniffing softly and trying to hunt down her scent...but she found that large male's instead. He followed that back to where Lera was...staring at her from the entrance of the makeshift den. "Lera..?" Kouseki The wolf saw him take off towards Lera and snarled, picking up Gizmo and taking off towards there little den thing. Pushing the pup out of the way slightly, he would move to sit next to Lera and nuzzled her neck affectionly. "Why are you here, pup? What are you doing near my pack?" Okay, so maybe he could have been a bit nicer to the little thing, but he was in no mood, and if it put any danger near his brother or his love, he would hunt it down and murder it. It was bad enough the pup hated Selia. Kimaria Gizmo was picked up, hoping this would be the end of it when suddenly Gaara had bolted past them, in the direction of their den. With a yelp he struggled free, his need to protect the injured female who his brother loved dearly.
He hit the snow with a soft thud and gave chase, his clumsier sprint keeping him from catching up, but he was not far behind.
He paused, staring fearfully as Gaara reached the entrance of the den and gave a loud growl. You keep away from Lera! He crept forwards, keeping his belly close to the ground, hoping his brother was with him. No doubt Haku would know what to do. Otsune She stood, her legs spread, trying her best to support herself. Suddenly she sawa wolf's face in the entrance...Haku? No, it was Gaara. Her body shuddered, and she laid herself town, curling her tail around her hind legs. "Hey Gaara, long time no see," she said. But Lera looked mighty different from when she last met him. Her body was covered in seeping wounds. Her chest had punctured wounds and her face had teeth marks. She gave the growing pup a grim smile, "You've grown -," she stopped in midsentence as Haku and Gizmo arrived, pushing Gaara aside. "Calm down you two," she said quietly almost as a mother would. Nikui He'd sniffle a bit, being shoved over into the snow. He hit the ground with a thud, and would curl up there...before willing himself to stand back up. Lera...she was beaten up so badly..Why? He lowered his ears, and moved into the den towards Lera..Sniffling at her, he'd eye Haku..
This was his territory now. He couldn't cross Haku, or else he'd get ripped apart. "What happened to you.." Kouseki "Lera! You can't honestly expect me to be nice to that thing.. he teased Gizmo! And what if he'd hurt you. He hates my sister and makes rude comments behind her back about her. He started a fight with me, and I'll never back down against a pup, not now that I'm an alpha!" With a small growl as he saw the pup, he would nuzzle her softly. "Please don't be angry with me.. I didn't hurt him, I was just defending my brother." He glanced to Gizmo and gave the pup a small n** to the ear when he came in. Kimaria Gizmo quietly went to sit beside his brother, nuzzling at his shoulder gently. Stay calm. He whispered gently.Gaara proud, Haku proud, both want fight for no reason. He continued, glancing around at the wolves in the den. No fighting, too much pain. He flopped down and yawned. resting his head on his paws. Kouseki He nodded to Gizmo. "You're right, brother.. I just will nto take a pup teasing me. But fights are not good.. I won't have blood of another wolf stain my paws for quite sometime." With a small shake of his head, he would yawn and look his little brother over, "I'm proud of you, Gizmo. You're very smart." Nuzzling him softly, he would smirk. Otsune Lera licked the side of Haku's face and nudged him with her nose. "Haku, if you are going to be an alpha you must understand that there is more then power. True, Alpha's have pride and do not back down from fights, but for your temper to rise over such foolishness shows weakness," she licked his cheek once more, "Rude comments and teasing are not enough to be beaten up over. You must show you are the stronger wolf by thinking responsibly. And don't be so doubtful of yourself all of the time," she added, her voice stronger. "Gaara is a friend to me," she told him, before looking over to Gaara. "Long story," she answered him with a grin. Despite her wounds, she seemed ot be in high spirits. "But Gaara, when did you become such a bully?" She frowned at him, her golden eyes keeping a watch on him. to be continued...

Past RP||30th DecemberWolves with similar pasts lilwerewolfgirl *The soft crunching of the newly fallen snow can be heard as an object steadily moves through the forestry. Through every passing tree every feature becomes more apparent of what the creature is due to the underbrush spreading out and eventually despersing. Being a skeletal wolf didnt really give the wolf much coverage under the darkness... the white shown on her body as if glimmering when under eyes.*
*Walking till she seemed to reach a... open area she kept her ears perked up for the surrounding area. All was to quiet, all seemed to have died during this time of the year... the only down side was the simple fact of for the female wolf's... it isnt the best time for them to be alone. Finally lifting up her head she watched as the morning snow fell upon the ground covering up her tracks. Not only did she see this though, from the corner of her eye a pretty large cave that she hadnt seen before stood. The only thing that kept her from entering.. was the smell, the smell of others like...herself.* Kouseki He alpha male of the pack looked Gizmo over, Lera and Gaara had gone just outside the cave to chat, and he smelt another wolf. Time to defend the family again! With a small snort, he would try to do this as human as possible. The dark coloured wolf moved in the snow, it was crunching his feet lightly. "C'mon Gizmo, you can help me defend out territory this time." Nodding his head to his brother, he would come upon the female wolf and looko her over. "What is a female wolf like youself doing out alone? It's almost as dangerous as leaving a pup in front of a bear. Where's your pack?" He murmured, trying to be as polite as possible, still rather ticked off that Gaara was now like his son, and in his pack without his permission. Glancing to the pup next to him, he would smile down and n** at his ear. "You all right, brother?" Kimaria Gizmo yawned sleepily, glad that the older pup had gone outside, away from him. He might not want any harm to come to the older male but that didn't mean he had to like him. With a small huff he got to his own feet, quite prepared to do anything that might be of help to Haku, desperately wanting to prove himself.
I help defend! He repeated, trotting behind the dark wolf with a slight bounce in his step.
It was not long before they came across the female, and the sight of her sent a shiver down the youngster's spine. He barely masked a whimper as he came to stand just beside his brother, ears flattened back and tail tucked between his legs.
At Haku's question he peered up, golden eyes meeting his steely ones. Brother...she look scary. lilwerewolfgirl *Relifting her eyes from looking at the snow falling upon the ground, the skeletal wolf's ears swiveled immediatly as she heard voices. Turning her head as almost sudden bolt of lighting struck before them her immediate response to the wolfs approaching her was her ears laying backwards in a defensive manner.* "Arnt these woods free to wander for the lone? Why is it any of your buisness anyways... If i actually had a pack to go home to, do you think i would be here in the cold and not curled up in a den?" *She didnt mean for a harsh tone to be placed in their... but it was one thing that couldnt be helped. She was use to no others approaching her first let alone speaking to her without fear.*
*Ahh... now thats what she was used to. Looking down onto the small pup she gave a look that almost said... dont worry im not going to hurt you... to the youngin. Carmen might have been defensive to adults, but she was in no way the same to pups.* Kouseki "You shouldn't be a lone wolf." The dark male snorted. Afraid of her? Hardly, he was a large wolf, powerful, and skilled. He had what it took phsyically to be an alpha, and he was working on the mental part. All right, be nice to people, Haku, she's a lone wolf that just wants a pack, you can tell by her tone that she's not scared easily. He looked over the wold. She must be a good hunter as well, and seemed to have a soft spot for the pups. "Look, do you really want to be a lone wolf? Because.. we're starting a pack of our own.. and we'll need someone to watch the pups.. and help hunt.. and.." he was trusting her, though he hardly knew her, but he had a good vibe about her. Kimaria One look in those eyes as she lowered her head to glance at the little pup was enough. He saw no evil in her shining orbs, nothing to suggest that she would leap at him and bite his throat.
In that brief moment, a bond was created, perhaps not as strong as the one he shared with Haku, but strong enough to know this female - although scary looking - was also kind hearted.
He wagged his tail in greeting and drew his ears forward, turning his head to briefly glance at his brother. It seemed that he was beginning to control that temper of his, and this pleased the pup greatly.
Hello. He greeted the other wolf shyly, taking a small step towards her. lilwerewolfgirl " Shouldnt be a lone wolf? Why?" *This question was at first ringing through her head as soon as th male olf whom was obviouslya Apha said it. She wasnt to sure about it... but from the look in these two's eyes they meant no harm to her. Her ears ontop of her head... slowly relaxed. The vibes these two where giving off was something that carmen wasnt all used to.*
*Looking down upon the pup she gave a faint wolfish smile as he walked foward. These two definatly meant no harm... besides... Carmen when she was just a adolescent she was raising her brothers and sis- She broke off her thoughts right their. Those wherent the happiest of memories to be remembering at this time. Her past was her past and she wants to leave it at that and ONLY that.* "Why hello their pup."
*After sending the smile to the pup she re-looked up the the adult male. Why would he need her help? Oh well.* " You need help to take care of pups? Yeah i've cared for pups before... not my own mind you. Hunting is a privilage that i've learned to master. Due to being a lone and all..." *wait, why is carmen telling the adult this? She usually didnt open up her past to others so... freely.* Kouseki The dark male looked her over and bowed his head lightly, "I would be honored if you would join my pack.. We aren't a very large pack. Just my mate and I.. plus two adopted pups.. It's more of a loose pack for now.. But you could help us out.." He was trying to be a good leader, making sure everyone around him was safe, she could help this pack greatly, he could tell by her strength. "Don't be shy, brother. She's a good wolf, I can tell." With a slight nod, he smile. Yes, all those stupid anger issues had been worked out. He wasn't too hard to please, as long as you didn't insult him, or put him down. Then he raised his head in an alpha fashion, his tail up as well. Of course, he didnt expect her to say yes, they hardly knew each other, and she might not trust them for some reason. But he needed help. There were no females in the pack other than Lera, and Lera was very hurt. Kimaria Gizmo sat back on his haunches peering between the two as they conversed, he did not miss her wolfish smirk and gave a tiny yip in return. Would it be possible she would accept his brother's offer and come to stay with them? He wasn't sure whether this would be good or not, for surely this would make it much harder to leave.
With a small sigh he twitched his nose and glanced up as his brother spoke to him once more. I not be shy. He frowned a little, not wanting to admit it in front of the two strong adults.
This time he turned his muzzle up to the skeletal wolf, you join us? emphasising his brother's offer to her. lilwerewolfgirl *Well... this most certainly took Carmen back slightly. No one has EVER asked her to join a pack before.... but then again, what wolves did she know? Ever sense she was a pup she had been treated already as an adult... in... all aspects. Once again she shook off those feelings. Why, why did for some reason these two remind her of her past? Usually only it was a fuzzy image... but now they where comming in as plain as day. Was it their kindness that caused it? Was it because they where actually treating her as one of them instead of an enemy and or a peice of meat? All she knew was... even though she has a extreamly tough exterior... she liked the feeling of actually being wanted. Looking down into the small ones eyes she gave a chortiling chuckle due to him asking as well.* "Who could resist that face eh? Sure... why not... but i do warn thee... I'm not very trusting of others unless somehow they gain my respect. Inwhich you two have, from treating me as if I was one of you."*With this she did something she hasnt done in a long...long time. Placing her paws on the ground she lowered her head, in a bow like notion.* Kouseki He smiled and raised his head slightly. "I'm very happy that you decided to stay with us." Nodding he lock lick the top of her head and turn around. "Please follow us to the den, where you can meet the rest of your new pack." Stepping in the thick snow, he would yawn and glance back to see the pup. The two had seem to have a bond all ready, this was turning out very well. With a small howl to his mate, he would pick up his pace a bit and make his way to the den, giving her a small lick on head. "This is our new member, Lera.. the one you told me about. Carmen." With a small nod, he would look back at the female and smile. "Brother, would you like to go hunting with out new member, to test our her skills?" Kimaria The pup was content, she had agreed and it seemed things could only get better. When the time came to leave he would worry about how to say goodbye, but until then he would stay happy.
Trotting behind his brother as they approached the den he turned to sneak a look at the female. He wondered what it must be like to have such a scary pelt, had other wolves judged her by the strange coloration of her fur?
Before he had time to dwell on such thoughts that had reached the den, and he stood back as Haku moved forwards to greet Lera. He yawned, pink tongue curling in his mouth and small white teeth being revealed for a brief moment, until his jaws snapped shut.
He glanced up as his brother spoke to him and nodded, never would he say no to Haku. He turned his head wordlessly to look at the female, waiting for her to speak before confirming anything. lilwerewolfgirl *Wandering behind the Alpha male and the pup she gave a calm smile as she stopped at the cave enterance, was this her new home? Or was it more like a home just for now. Looking down as the male talked to obviously the alpha female, her eyes noted and grew wide* "Le..Lera?" *Carmen you must say.. for the first time was in a state of shock, Lera was the first wolf around here that ever gaianed her repect... she was the first to treat her like a wolf.*
*Shaking her head slightly she padded into the cave and looked around at its interior. To her it was the first time actually being in a cave.. so a little spark of curiosity danced in her brow.* "Nice place..."
*Now looking over towards the pair of males she heard them converse over hunting. Its been a while sense she was out for a good hunt... so this might prove interesting.* "Sounds like a plan to me." *She said slowly, but suddenly a brief smell of blood caught her nose senses. Was it comming from... Lera.* "Whats wrong with Lera!? " Kouseki He sighed and licked her again. "She's just not had a very good past few days, laying down, he would curl up against her and nuzle into her neck. "And she shouldn't have moved at all, but she got up because of that runt Gaara." With a small shake of his head, he would rest next to his mate. "Have fun hunting, wake me up when you get back, we'll have Gaara stand watch." Shaking his head, he would rest his head on his paws and snuggle in, next to his love. Kimaria With a small yip, Gizmo stood up and turned to Carmen wondering if she was as good a hunter as his brother. He couldn't wait to get out there and learn more about being a lone wolf, plus she had first paw experience with travelling alone. They would have much to talk about.
He waited patiently for her and began a steady trot through the trees, canting his head back and drawing his ears forward. You hunt good? He asked curiosly, breaking the silence between them. lilwerewolfgirl *Giving a short nod to the alpha she started to leave the cave in a trot following the pup. Before she left though, she turned around and looked at the alpha male for a second.* "oh... By the way, I never caught your name." *With that she turned her heals and padded onto the soft white snow until she was beside the pup.*
"One learns to hunt and take care of themselves when they are a loner." *Padding into the forest slowly Carmen held herself in a very tight pose, she wanted to be ready for everything that happened. Keeping her ears strait up she listened to see if anything was around her. Stopping for a split second and rose to her full heigth and smelled at the surrounding area. Eyes darting about she kept her senses keen.* Hmm.... theirs no good prey around this area to feed a pack." *She said lowering her body to a short position.* "Then again... we are only two wolves and i doubt we could take on a large prey. Why not listen around pup and see if you can see anything. After all, two opinions are better than one." *Looking down to the pup she gave him a nod.* "Oh, and what is your name by any chance?" Kimaria Trotting along side the adult female, Gizmo peered about the forest, tilting his head up slightly as she spoke to him. There are long-eared furries Gizmo explained, remembering how he had caught one only yesterday. Yet as he tested the air for their scent he realised the older was right, there appeared to be no sign of them today.
One day, I be lone wolf. Shall hunt the furries and wander forest. Gizmo continued in a pleasant tone as he snuffled around the snow. Then complying with her order he raised his head and twitched his ears thoughtfully. I listen to sounds, listen and search.
At her question of his name, he looked strangely startled and whimpered. I Have no manners. He scolded himself, I Gizmo. He spoke, leaping over a small mound of snow. And you be? lilwerewolfgirl *Looking at the pup slightly she gave a look of uttermost confusion.* "Lone? your in a pack and your only a pup and yove already decided you want to become a lone wolf? It is not easy being a lone wolf... i should know ive been one sense i was just a little bit older than you."
"Long ear's Eh?"* braking off the first convo she proceaded thinking to herself, remembering a spot where she was something furry the other day... but knowing now it was long gone she didnt even bother to go in that direction. Instead of this time looking up high... she decided it was time to look low. Crouching to the ground she sniffed at it and peered closely.* "Ahh.. here we go, tracks. I couldnt smell them cause they are a day old.. but they might help. Here, come and look." *Indicating towards the small prints in the ground she chortled slightly as she saw him on the snow.* "Gizmo eh? Imma call you giz for short is that ok?" *Realizing that she had been rude.. she then gave a short nod to him.* "Im Carmen.. nothing in particular.. just.. carmen." Kimaria Me be lone, not like pack life. Well that statement wasn't quite true, he had enjoyed it so far, but the constant fear that he would be forced into oppresion by stronger wolves scared him. I learn hunt, I be fine. He tilted his head slightly in thought, You like being lone wolf?
As she lowered her head to the ground, Gizmo copied and spotted the tracks too. Giz is fine. The pup nodded in answer and looked up at her, yes Carmen was a nice name for her. Carmen, pretty name.
He wagged his tail and buffeted her side gently with the flat of his skull, she was definately a nice wolf and he was glad to have met her. These tracks belong to the furries? He questioned, snuffling at them intently. lilwerewolfgirl "Dont like pack life huh... Heh boy do I know the feeling." *When she said this her gaze was still facing the tracks, but as she finished she looked up into the pups gaze.* "You dont act like a pup. You act alot older for your age. Theirs one thing you must know though... the lone lifestyle isn't easy. Not to mention it gets lonely after a while. You wander by yourself and fend for yourself... but what if you needed to be fended for? Who would help you?" *After saying this carmen hushed up and quickly tried to change the subject.*
"Thanks Giz, my mother gave it to me." *Heh.. she once again went onto a sore subject -.-; Can she EVER escape her emotions? Breaking off her thoughts as she felt her side being buffeted she sent a friendly eye roll and patted him on the head with her paw. "Yes these little track belong to some little furries. See here?" *She said indiacating towards the smallest of the tracks.* "These are these little tiny animals with long thin tails. Very easy to catch, they just arnt very filling. Now these here? These are tracks from the ones you call the long-ears." *Lowering her nose she pushed around the tracks a little bit to see how fresh they where. Lifting up her head she realized that they where only a few hours old, they where proberbly still nearby.* "Shh... lets go this way." *She indicated to her left side with a small jerk of her head.* "They where here not that long ago, proberbly close by. The long eared ones that is. Looks like around... three. *With that she nodded and crouched down low to the ground, as she moved she tried not to step onto anything. say a stick, thad would make to much noise. The snow was still making a crunching noise.. but hopefully it wasnt enough to startle them.* Kimaria The little pup listened to Carmen, with a look of fascination in his eyes, this female sure did seem to know a lot about the world. Yet he noticed something in her eyes change, the darkening in them hinting to something like sadness. Had Carmen been treated badly in a pack just as he had?
His past was something he had only shared with Aeria, he had not felt right conversing with Haku about it, but this female...it seemed she too would understand.
I came from mean pack. He explained, Had to grow quick, or die. He held back the urge to whimper. Brother and sisters horrid, mother ashamed of Gizmo little runt pup. His nose wrinkled in the beginnings of a snarl, ran away I did, prove I can survive.
Carmen's mother chose good name. He whispered as the female pointed out the furries' tracks. He too, snuffled at them and then copied her actions, crouching low and moving as silently as was possible. lilwerewolfgirl *Still crouching low to the ground and moving as silent as possible, she thought for a second she heard something. Right ear swiveling in that direction she waited to see what it was. After some time she started to move again... though for some reason she was more catious.* "Giz, i think we are being followed.." *She said as quietly as she could, though after five minutes she didnt hear anything. Relaxing her senses she sighed softly.*"Ok false alarm."
*Even though at the time it didnt seem like she wasnt listening, she indeed was... she was also thinking to herself how that seemed familiar to the way she was treated. Turning around to face Giz, she looked down at a second with almost what looked like a look of sympathy, but it quickly changed back to a normal look.* "Your circumstances where almost like mine... except slightly different." *Never having another wolf that could relate to her circumstances... she guessed insender he let some of his past be known to her, it was only right to let go a little of hers.* "See... i came from the far west, where the food isnt very plentiful and water is scarce. When i was a young wolf just a little older than you... my mother and father both left us. We dont know how or why... but one morning they where no where to be found. My younger brothers and sister then turned to me to help them grow. So i did... i taught them at a young age everything they needed to know to survive. After a while i grew up and so did they... so i guess you can say we grew apart. We all went our separate ways and i never saw them again." *That was a big relief to let that off of her chest.. though she didnt reveal everything about her past to the young pup. Lowering her head again she gave a small wink to Giz.* "lets keep this between you and I ok?" Kimaria The pup tensed at Carmen's warning and he froze mid-step, able to keep balance quite well considering how clumsy he usually was. He remained so until the female confirmed it was a false alarm, and willed the beating of his heart to return to normal.
When the wolf began to speak, he made sure to listen, he had been taught never to ignore any wolf, not that he wanted to, this wolf was very interesting and everything she said grabbed his attention. His ears drooped slightly as he listened and he nodded his head very slightly, atleast his parents had not abandoned him as such, they had just tended to ignore him.
He moved to nuzzle against her side in comfort, for himself as well as for her. Why parents mean, Carmen? It was the question he had wanted answered for so long. He recognised the differences between their pasts, by the sound of the way she described her siblings, she loved them whilst he despised his. I not want to see brother and sisters again. He huffed slightly, They worse than any other wolf I know.
With her last statement he nodded sharply, he would never ever tell anyone about what had been spoken. Plus he had never had a true secret before, and the pup found the whole concept rather exciting, it made him feel special.
Are furries nearby? He asked, changing the subject. lilwerewolfgirl *After she finished the portion of her life story she felt weak for a reason. It wasnt physical weakness mind you... yet mental weakness. Prying into her past wasnt something she liked to do, let alone was it something she normally did. So doing this took quite some mental stregnth to break the locks she had put on her past.*
*For a second she zoned out from the area as she thought about her past... after a few seconds though she was brought out of the trance to look down upon the pup. Though... why did... for a second she though for sure she had seen an image of her brother as a pup. Looking slightly closer though she realized that it was her newly made friend Gizmo. Though when he nuzzled her for some reason she felt... wanted. Lowering her muzzle to Giz's face she licked him a few times on the for-head in a comforting way.* "Parents are just the way they are.. ive learned over experiance that sometimes parents are good and othertimes parents are bad. The pups of course will suffer from the parents actions... but then again, they also grow. If you think about it... if parents arnt hard enough on their kids, the kids tend to grow weak... soft.. and lazy. While ones that are not given the same treatment, grow. Sometimes they grow outer shells... like i did. But all it takes to break that shell is a kind heart. The same goes for brothers and sisters. They grow off from their parents... this isnt all of the time mind you, but sometimes they take their parents actions and make them their own because they didnt have a good role-model."
*Nodding slightly as Giz changed the subject she gave hime one last lick on the forhead and then perked her ears up.* "Why dont you say we go and bring some food back for our pack neh?" *With this she once again started moving in the direction where the tracks led.* Kimaria Gizmo nodded thoughtfully as he trotted alongside her, half of his mind on the hunt, the other half thinking about her words. Yes this female was very wise, and she definately had a different way of thinking. The pup chose his words carefully before speaking, not wanting to get them muddled or confused.
So there be good parents and bad parents? There be good brothers and sisters too, Haku a good brother. He take care of me, he promised he help find Aeria. She somewhere in forest, but not sure where. I hope she never got eaten, I like her lots. He realised he was getting back on the subject, but he couldn't help it, this conversation had him very much interested.
My mama and papa helped, if what you say true. Made me what I am and if they not ignore little runt then I wouldn't be here with you. My brother and sisters mean, mean wolves but not as strong as little Giz. lilwerewolfgirl "Yes. good and bad parents as well as good and bad role-models are everywhere."* Carmen said to the pup still crouching low, her tone shifted to a faint wisper instead of a strait outspeek so she wouldnt scare away any possible prey.* "The same goes for your brothers and sisters. If they resort to picking on someone when they know they are psysically or mentally weaker shows weakness. It also shows you to be stronger than them for bearing the weight of this and putting into your own paws what you where going to do and not letting it hold you back."
*Stopping suddenly her breath quickened slightly as she heard it, to her right their was a definate sound of rustling in the bushes. It didnt sound large enough to be harmful to them... it actually seemed rather small. Looking over to giz as he made his last satements about him being stronger than the rest of his family, she gave a short nod. After the nod which agree'd with his staement she they swiveled her eyes so he could see/ listen for what she hears.* Kimaria Gizmo nodded throughout, agreeing with her wise words with a heightening respect for her. He was glad that this female had chosen to stay, she would definately be an asset to the pack. As her tone changed to a whisper he felt the excitement grow within him, perhaps they had finally found what they were looking for.
At her sudden stop he dropped to his stomach, knowing he was quite well hidden against the snow, despite his array of brown patches. Drawing his ears forward, he too heard the rustling sound but was not sure what it was. He sniffed tentatively at the air, trying to catch a scent but not being able to manage it. He angled his nose slightly towards the female, wondering if she knew what it was.
He wanted to speak, and ask the wolf what she thought but didn't dare. He had no intention of scaring away their dinner, and so remained motionless, golden eyes scanning the forest for the location of the rustling. lilwerewolfgirl *Carmens left ear swiveled around as she heard Giz lower himself onto the snow which gave him good camoflauge. Thinking to herself she also realized that her pelt was so dark that it was easily spotted in the day... but then again. Quickly studdying her surroundings she noticed that it was slowly turning into dusk, getting darker by the second. 'yes!' she thought to herself. During the night she could see better let alone her pelt was not spotted so easily. When she was a pup her brother would call her the 'night walker' because she rarely came out but at night to hunt. When she walked in the night only her skeletal fetures where visible the most, giving her the appearance of the walking deceased.*
*Slowly as the rustling got louder she found her feet moving n their own. cuching as low as she possibly could she found herself ducking under a peice of underbrush. Looking to giz she tried to indicate that she was going to scare their prey his way. slinking around the bush with the sounds she waited for a split second. When she got a better view of thecontents within she saw three brown rabbits. 'Yes!' She thought again. 'They will be easy to spot out in the snow.' Not waiting a second longer she rushed out of the bush and latched onto one of the unsupecting rabbits. Clutchng t in her jaws she added pressure to the rabbits body until it fought no more. Now the rabbits that got away from her grasp where scared stiff for a second, but then they dashed into Giz's direction.* Kimaria The rustling increased and the pup readied himself into a pounce position, hoping that he would be able to do well. He watched carefully as Carmen readied herself and caught the look in her eye that Haku had held when they had hunted long-ears before. He nodded in indication he understood and waited.
When she dashed out, he wrinkled his nose in the beginnings of a snarl and watched as she skillfully caught the furry. Picking out one of the others that had escaped he followed it's motions with his eyes, trying to do as he was taught and hoping he would time it correctly.
Closer...closer still...and then the pup pounced, jaws opening and ready to snatch up the rabbit. The creature whirled round on itself in a motion that Gizmo would have sworn should have broken it's back.
In desperation he lunged his head forwards, teeth clipping around one of it's hind legs and winced as it began to squeal in fright. Breaking it's leg with ease he dropped it's wriggling body to the ground and swiftly moved to break it's neck, the peace returning to the forest with the end of it's life. lilwerewolfgirl *Wandering around the bush where she found the rabbits she found her gaze adverting over to Giz. Looking over him she also noticed that he himself caught a rabbit. Padding in his direction she didnt even bother to stay quiet. They had caught what they where after and it didnt matter anymore. The only thing that would be bad is if the death cries attracted the weary eyes attention.*
*Dropping the carcas to the ground she looked to Giz in a proud notion, he could hunt very well for such a young one. He would definatly grow to be a great hunter.* "I see one got away. That doesnt matter though, we got enough for everyone to be full for now. Good job Gizmo!" *Re picking up the rabbits carcas she gave another smile before she turned around to head back.* Kimaria Panting, Gizmo looked up and nodded, turning to look about the quiet forest. At her words he smirked, pink tongue lolling from the side of his mouth as his breath misted in front of his muzzle.
With a small yip he turned to face the way they had come. Furries stupid, but taste good. He said cheerfully, lowering his head to pick up the dead long-ears and trotted after the dark furred wolf, his head held high with a pride that he knew he had earned.
He knew in time he would learn to pounce accurately, but for now he would remain content with his clumsy style, for it did indeed seem to work for him. lilwerewolfgirl "Need help with that their?" *She said looking at the pup that dragged his quarey back by the ears. Carmen chuckles slightly watching him and then remembered that he'd more than likely want to do it on his own... so she continued on the pathway that lead to the cave. Finally after a little while she spotted in the near distance the cave. Comming around into it she looked behind her to make sure Giz was still their. After a short while she then proceded to drop the rabbit before the alpha male and female. She had eaten earlier in the day so she wasnt very hungry. As she looked back to Giz she gave a short smile. "Eat your prey hun." After which she looked around and grabbed a part of the cave where she laid on her stomach peacfully drifting into a slow sleep.* Kimaria The pup was having a little trouble walking, the long-ears hanging limp from his mouth and becoming entangled with his front paws every so often, but he did not want to have the female carry the prey he had proudly caught and through gritted teeth confirmed this. I fine.
When they reached the den he copied Carmen's motion, dropping the furry onto the ground in front of the den, sitting back on his haunches and sniffing tentatively at it. Carmen appeared to have fallen asleep and he nudged at the meal, not too sure whether he was hungry enough to eat it.
He moved up beside her and lay down, nuzzling up against her side and closing his eyes, wanting rest more than food at that moment in time.

Past RP||1st JanuaryJealousy strikes Kouseki The dark wolf sniffed the rabbits that were brought in. Then he watched the two go to sleep, with a nuzzle to both of them, he would take his station of watching his pack for the night, not really tired at all. Time skip~ That morning, the wolf moved out of the den early for deer smelt fresh. No, he wasn't really planning on grabbing one, but he wanted to chase them around and scare the s**t out of them for the fun of it. After an hour, he gave up and trotted back to the den, his feet trailing in the snow. It was good excerise for him. Stepping into the den, he would look to see if anyone was awake, nope, no one yet. lilwerewolfgirl *Laying down onto her side she drempt about the things that happened in the previous night before. How Giz and herself had that chat about their pasts.. and how they caught the double rabbits. A thought had also struck her mind when she remembered, when she went into a trance for some reason Gizmo for a split second took on the appearance of one of her brothers... no idea why but he did.*
*Sturring around in her sleep Carmen finally gently lifted one of her eye lids and looked around the cave. At first she saw nothing but almost immediatly she felt a warmth behind her. Looking around she saw little Giz laying beside her, with a faint wolfish smile and a lick on his head she raised her body up from the cave floor. Stretching out her hind legs she yawned slightly and noticed someone else was awake.* "Morning." Kimaria Gizmo had not been dreaming, but he also had not been haunted with nightmares. Instead he simply slept restfully, only to stir as he felt Carmen lick him on the head.
At first he didn't move, wondering if he could get even more sleep but quickly decided against it, he didn't want to be thought of as a lazy pup. With a wide yawn he pulled himself into a sitting position, his tail beating a rhythm on the floor as it wagged cheerfully.
Quietly, he lifted one white paw, and began to clean it with his pink tongue, not wanting to neglect his coat which was a shade that always showed the dirt. With a sneeze he shook his head, drawing his ears forward and raising one hind paw to give a scratch behind one ear. Kouseki He smirked and nodded slightly. "Morning Carmen, nice to see someone else up." Munching on one of the rabbits they had caught, he would leave a little over half of it for whenever Lera and the others got hungry. If he really needed food, it's not like he couldn't just go get it himself. It was really nice, having them all together like this.. Even though it was Gaara, Lera, Guz, Carmen and him. Not a huge pack, but he had a feeling that it would get a bit bigger. The black and orange wolf would lick the blood from his lips and look her over. "Sleep well?" He would ask, moving over to nuzzle his little brother and plop down next to him on his butt. "What about you, brother, you sleep well? Have fun hunting?" Licking the pup softly, he would look down and cant hhis head, his left ear twitching all the while. Kimaria Gizmo yawned again, stretching and shaking his fur, turning golden eyes up to his brother. I sleep well. Carmen make good pillow. He peered out to the forest and nodded thoughtfully. Hunting good, Carmen good, she will be good member of pack.
He wagged his tail and without warning pounced upon his brother, whirling about and trying to tap at him with an extended paw. The sudden burst of playfullness had taken him by surprise, but he was in an extremely cheerful mood. Kouseki The alpha was taken a back for a minute, but played back eith his brother, landing on his back, then wiggling the pup around on his stomach, then batted at him playfully with his paw. Awwu, Giz was so cute, he couldn't help but love his little brother. With a small smirk, he would yip at the pup playfully. This pack was going to turn out great! There semed to be a few new pups running around, maybe he'd good look around later, if Giz wanted to go exploring or something. With another yip, he would n** at the pup's ear. Kimaria The pup gave a squeak of surprise as he wriggled about on the floor of the den. Trying to n** at the dark wolf's large paw, a playful growl bubbling in his throat.
He rolled himself onto his stomach and scrambled to his paws, dashing around the large wolf and leaping up, he landed on Haku's back only to slide off the otherside and land with a thud.
He sneezed, shaking his head and turning himself so he could bat at the long furry tail, wagging his own joyfully. He really did have a lot of energy that day. Kouseki The dark male growled back playfully, smirking and wagging his tail, trying to keep Gizmo from catching it, then he turned around and nipped at the pup's ear. There was a faint smell of a new wolf, and he wanted to know what it was, but stayed quiet about it for now. Nipping at Giz again he would paw at his brother playfully. Then the dark male sniffed excitedly. Fresh meat~ Just kidding! He loved his brother, and moved to lick the top of his head. "You're cute, brother." Nuzlloing the pup softly, he would look at him. "What do you want to do now, Giz?" Kimaria Gizmo looked up at his brothers words and wrinkled his nose slightly, he...Gizmo the brave could not be cute! There was no way that he, the killed of long-ears and protector of his brother could be even a little bit cute. He gave a small huff and held his head and tail high.
I no cute, I brave Gizmo. He reached out, swiping at his brother's foreleg with a paw and then dashed out of the den and into the snow. He tripped on something hidden beneath the white blanket and snubbed his nose in the cold white stuff.
He got up again, much slower and shook his fur, sneezing again as the cold flakes got into his nostrils. Let's go splorin' He announced with a grin, unaware of his mis-pronounciation. Kouseki The dark wolf fell to the ground with an "oof" then smirked and chased after his brother. "You're strong too." With a small shake of his head, he moved around the snow and looked. Small bushes got in the way, bgut he simply stepped on them. With a small snort, he would sniff the ground for any scent of wolf. There was one near by! With a small inhale, he would look around. "Look out for a wolf Giz, it seems to just be a wolf, but we shouldn't take chances!" Smirking, he would nuzzle his brother and step into the smll clearing, then saw the green-ish wolf plain as day. "Who're you?" The older wolf half snorted, half growled. Was it an abonded pup or something? Lethrossen Kamali's orbs went why and he stumbled backward into the bush. It'd been a while since he saw another wolf. Wait! Two! And one was a pup.. like him. Though from the looks, slightly older.
He cautiously crawled out of the bush again, tail low, but not between his legs. Look like he wasn't too sure of his place. His eyes held a glint of playfulness though, and he kept glancing toward Gizmo.
"I'm Kamali.." His voice was soft-spoken and soothing. It was slightly shakey though. His pinnae flicked and lowered toward cranium, quivering slightly at the growl. Kimaria The little pup have been poucing on the drifts of snow which fell from the branches, snapping at them and then shaking his head as the snow numbed his mouth.
He had not been aware of any other pups nearby, being too playful too care whether or not there was. Yet he paused in his play and sniffed at the air gingerly. There was indeed a wolf nearby but it was a strange scent, definately not one that he recognised.
I have two eyes, I use two eyes. He replied to his brother, glancing about and following close behind. As his brother growled he peered around him and spotted the pup, one that looked about his age. He gave a small yip as greeting but could not help the twinge of jealousy in him.
The male pup was incredible, his fur an amazing minty green and his eyes were almost other wordly. It appeared that any female of their age would prefer this newcomer over him any day. His thoughts turned to Aeria but quickly shook them away, she would not abandon him.
Finding his manners he stepped forward wagging his tail, for surely it was not the pups fault he had been born a striking wolf. I Gizmo, you be alone? Slifer_Ozura
Sable walked slowly through the woods, his feet crunching on the snow below him. He left clear and visible tracks through the snow, looking around he saw a white sky, clear and crystaline. He sighed and slowly trudged on, looking for someone, although he was unsure of who he was looking for. He had been separated from his family at birth, and was now trying to find someone to replace them, something, anything would do. Just someone he could call a family. His tail was hanging low, he was obviously unhappy about his predicament. He slowly trudged on into a run as he heard other wolves about. Getting closer to the wolves he spied a green one, one much like himself, and another with peculiar markings. He stayed hidden by a tree, however he lay down on his belly and perked his ears up, trying to catch any snippits of conversation... Lethrossen Kamali glanced to the other pups, dark pinnae flatening pon his skull. "Im.. Kamali" he stated again, then frowned slightly at Haku.
"That really is none of your business sir.." he still spoke quietly, and even pleasently. Pretty bold to tell an adult wolf to butt out of his business. Even if it was in a polite way.
He was so foccused on the two in front of him he knew nothing of the other pup hidden from him. Kimaria Gizmo heard his brother's whisper but did not reply, he didn't even move, eyes focused on the pup ahead of him. He did however nuzzle his brother back a little, eyes remaining focused. He mentally shook himself, taking the tiniest of steps back, just managing to mask a whimper. Things really had gotten a little crazy as of late, too many wolves at once...he was beginning to feel crowded.
As it was, the wind masked the pup hiding in the brush and it would most likely be impossible for them to realise he was there.
At the youngster's remark, Gizmo frowned, his muscles trembling with rage born from his jealousy. Brother tries to help stupid pup, and pup not see sense. You little and all alone, can't catch food, can't sniff air for scent. His body trembled almost violently, this was not like him at all, he was kind and calm, never acting this way. Was Haku's temper rubbing off on him? He hoped not.
Drawing in a calm breath he tried again, 'scuse my rudeness Kamali, brother just wants to help. Kouseki Haku glanced down at Gizmo.. he had been acting funny all day. Maybe he was just growing up? With a small shake of his head, he would snap his jaws at the pup, showing who was in charge. That's how he was.. And he, Lera was trying to help with that, and so was his best and only little brother. Nuzzling the pup again, he would stand, much taller than any of the pups, taller than the average male. He was scary to be against. "I'm Haku. Alpha of my pack. This is my brother. He's smart, strong and very helpfull. You'd learn well to be like him." Shaking his head slightly, he would look at the two knew pups and think about it. The pack needed more females, or theyd never survive. They had two.. And already there were three males.. if two more males joined.. that'd be five. Five to two.. They'd have to work it out some how. Wwait! Maybe.. Aeria.. nce they found her.. then she would be with Giz, and Giz would be happy. Five to three.. "You pups should find you homes, go with your mothers. You will be killed out here." With a small snort, he would yawn slightly, not at all worried about the two pups attacking him. Slifer_Ozura Sable looked at the wolves arguing about clans. Sable wondered across into the glade and sat across from Gizmo, and next to Kamali. He smiled slightly and then wagged his tail. He had heard that they wanted Kamali and himself to go back to their mothers. Sable himself didn't have a mother, or anyone. He didn't say anything though. He looked at Kamali and then began to talk to him "Come on, lets go..." he said, hoping Kamali would follow, he didn't need these people, he would start his own clan one day. Smiling at the thought he stopped and turned his head back, looking towards Kamali, would he give up and follow Sable, or would he persist to join this clan. Sable didn't know, he would be happy for the other pup either way, although it would be nice if he came with him, and kept ihm company... Lethrossen Kamari jumped a bit when the new wolf had come near him, then felt a slight easiness to be near the other. Was he an orphan, like himself? He nodded and stood. "Sorry to bother you two.." he murmered and dipped his head, watching Gizmo. "I know he only wanted to help. It still does not make it his place to ask why i am alone.."
His tail flicked and his pinnea flicked as he started to follow this other wolf, thoughts else were. "Im Kamari.." he murmered softly to the new pup.
Slifer_Ozura Sable plodded along, his paw occasionally getting lost in a deep snow drift, and him having to dig it out, and hop along, it was difficult to move around in the snow like this, he was hungry though, he needed to catch something to eat. He walked along until he saw a small patch of grass, it looked as though a deer might have tried to break through the snow to find something to eat. Not complaining he sat on the mound, leaving room for his friend. He replied to the Kamali "I am Sable" he said grinning before looking toward him "Are you hungry, i am... want to help me hunt?" he asked, sniffing the air, trying to see if he could pinpoint the location of a small rabbit, or a stoat, or something like that. He could smell something faint on the wind, although he avoided looking directly into the wind, as the snow hit his eyes, and that hurt him... Kimaria Gizmo felt a slight growl bubble in his throat, and leaving his brother's side he dashed in front of the other two males. Brother only helps, not mean to hurt. You not be only pup with sadness in past. He snapped his jaws together, teeth clipping neatly into a firm lock.
Then he gazed to the other pup and lifted his lips to reveal his teeth. You go with him, and not Haku? He asked of Kamali, his mind constantly telling him to stop this behaviour. Holding his head high he flicked his tail and returned to his brother's side, nuzzling against him sadly. What if those two males found Aeria before him...what if she chose to stay with them.
Without thinking he threw back his head and gave a long howl, releasing the tension that had built up in his chest. Everything was so muddled, including his young mind...
Aeria... The word was barely audible, snatched away by a fierce wind and lost to the sky above.

~ Walking Alone ~
Start RP||2nd January 05
Gizmo struggled to continue, his chest ached from the strain of running so far and long, and his brother's howl echoed in his ears even when he was so far.
In a moment of weakness the pup fell, snubbing his nose against the hard ground, his body falling limp in the snow. He had used all energy just to make it that far, and now he was exhausted, his breath coming out in great pants and eyes closing with fatigue.
He no longer felt the cold, no longer sensed the forest around him, he was floating in a dark oblivion where he desperately wanted to remain. Atleast in this nothingness there were no wolves to hurt him, oh and that Sable and Kamali - whether they meant to or not - had hurt him, perhaps not physically but they had.
Jealousy was never something the pup had truly felt before, he had never felt the need to be jealous of the stupid members in his pack. Yet looking at those two brave little pups, refusing the offer of a pack with their beautiful pelts and those shimmering eyes. They were what he wanted to be, he should have turned down Haku that day and continued alone, and yet at the same time he was glad he had remained.
And Aeria...she would never prefer his company - the coward that he was - over those two pups, and he would lose her as he had lost all others.
His dry throat managed a whimper and as if that small cry had been an almighty bellow, the snow began to fall. Soft flakes drifting from the darkening sky above. Gizmo however, could not bring himself to move or do anything other than lay in the cold and become covered with the soft flakes.
He felt suddenly extremely tired, fatigue weighing heavily on his eye lids and refusing to let him go, yet he knew he had to get out of the cold. If he remained where he was he would die in his sleep and never get to set eyes on Aeria again.
Whimpering he pulled himself up onto his paws, the muscles in his legs ceasing up and causing him even greater pain. Shaking his trembling body he started off again, at a slow gait, his paws dragging through the snow and head lowered to protect his eyes from those bitter snowflakes. Life without his brother felt so empty and sad, yet he wasn't ready to return yet, even if those pups were long gone he didn't think he was ready to face Haku and explain why he had acted so terribly. It shamed him to think of those cruel words he had spoken to those pups, and yet he still held a distinct hate for them.
He broke out of the forest and slipped clumsily down a slope into a wide gorge, feeling suddenly as if everything could see him. Raising his muzzle against a blast of snow he scented the air but recieved nothing. Trembling violently he crawled over to the other side and scrambled up the slope that greeted him. Glad that atleast the snow would help mask his scent against friend and foe he continued slowly onwards.
The pup sneezed violently, the action throwing him from his feet and landing him on the cold snow once more. The sound caused a small flock of black flitters to take to the sky in a dark and terrifying cloud causing him to cower briefly. Their loud screeching sending him reeling in fright, the little wolf dove forwards, new energy born from his fear as he slipped and stumbled through the white snow, stumbling upon a simple and small shelter.
The haven he had discovered was a natural one, a large flat rock jutting out from a higher level of earth, keeping the ground beneath it free from snow. Thick shrubbery that was growing to one side of it, offered shelter from the wind as long as it was heading west and gratefully he slipped beneath it, curling up into a tight ball and dropping off to sleep.

~ Walking Alone ~
Evening of day 1||2nd January
Gizmo woke up as a blast of icy wind struck him with full force, he gave a yelp and curled himself up tighter, wrapping his tail about him so that it covered his pink nose. The direction of the wind had changed and now the thick shrubbery offered the lonesome pup no comfort. After staying put a moment longer the pale furred pup decided it was best to get moving, his throat was parched and although his muscles ached he needed to find water.
Stretching slowly, he would move to stand up, canting his head back as he regarded his surroundings. The darkness of evening made the snow seem more grey than white and the trees rustled in the wind. It reminded him of the time he had spent beside Aeria, the trees had been scary then and they still were, even through his more experienced eyes.
Shuddering he turned from the shelter that now offered no comfort and slunk up into a new part of the forest. He had never been here before and all the scents were new and strange to his sensitive nostrils. An excitement gathered in him as he smelt something familiar, a scent he had smelt before.
Perhaps it was Aeria, maybe she had come back to him! He gave an excited bark and burst into the trees, ignoring startled cries of the black flitty things perched in the trees. Yet as he neared the scent he realised that he had been mistaken, the scent was not that of a wolf.
He came to a slow halt, tongue lolling from his mouth, and breath wreathing around his muzzle. The rustling sound ahead of him caught his attention and he drew his ears forward, preparing himself for the encounter. Yet nothing could have prepared the little runt for what did occur.
From the bushes came a large stag, the heavy antlers that adorned his head making him a fierce competitor. The male deer stamped his hooves into the ice and snow, lowering his head and thrusting his antlers in a threatening manner.
Gizmo, not ever seeing such a strange creature before took a small step forwards, wondering if communication would be possible. I-I Gizmo, what you? Yet to the deer, his words were nothing but a few muffled barks.
The large stag, whose name was Hart, gave a threatening move forwards, huffing loudly and staring straight at the pup. There was a strength in those long thin legs that took the pup by surprise and he jumped sideways, toppling onto his side.
Long-legs not understand? The pup whimpered, thinking that this beast looked a little like the deer Haku had caught. Yet this thing had claws on it's head, and large ones at that.
In seconds the stag stampeded forwards, lowering it's head, ready to scoop the pup up and break his frail body on the ground. Yelping the pup rolled his body and fell into the thorn bushes, trembling in fear as the long-legs tried to get at him.
Only one thought crossed the pup's mind...would he ever survive to see Aeria and Haku again?

~ Walking Alone ~
Night of day 1||3rd January
It was night by the time the large stag had given up and Gizmo watched in sheer relief as the long-legs loped off, it seemed quite pleased with itself for chasing the terrified pup into a bush filled with thorns. Snuffling his nose he checked to make sure this wasn't some trick to lure him out before shifting his little body out into the snow once more.
He sat back on his haunches, hunching his shoulders and stooping his head, tremors of fear, cold and fatigue rippling through his muscles. He turned his head back slightly, eying the path he had come from and wondered briefly if he should return. He was achieving nothing out here and he had to admit he had found no traces that Aeria still lived.
There was one good that came from all of this, and that was the cloudless night, the first he had seen for a long time. The stars greeted him with their beautiful shine and he got up to his paws and welcomed them with a few yips, wagging his tail.
Yet it was the moon in which his eyes were drawn and he held his breath in awe as he gazed upon her splendour. Under her gentle caress, the snow seemed to glow and all the trees were highlighted in a gentle and magic hue.
Despite his best efforts the little pup could not help but throw back his head and give a long howl, pleased with how it was improving. He knew in time the sound would become deep and more fluid but for now it would do. Bouncing in a pup-like gesture he would continue on his way, ears drawn forward and gait close to a trot as he continued on. The thorns had barely managed to scratch him through his winter coat, but there were a few small wounds on his nose where he had pushed in and out of it.
With his spirits rising he continued under the gaze of the moon, wandering the forest and sniffing contentedly through the snow. It was just as the moon was dipping from her zennith that his sharp eyes picked out a small shape moving about in the snow. He lowered himself into a crouch and let a small growl vibrate in his throat.
It was at times like this that he was glad his eyesight was good at night, for he could pick out the shape of something that he had usually seen in the trees. He had nicknamed them puff-tails since their tails were indeed very fluffy, and this one seemed to be digging around in the snow, it's fur black as night. What gave the little critter away were those large green eyes that caught the moonlight within them and made them shine like droplets of water.
Gizmo - feeling pretty confident he could snap up the unknowing puff-tail in his jaws - leapt forwards, his mouth filling with snow rather than the furry little thing. He sneezed and shook his head, wondering where the little thing could have gone, until somethig round and hard connected with his skull.
Yelping he leapt back, staring up into the low boughs of the tree, eyes widening as he realised the puff-tail was now up there with it's small paws clutching onto small round things. The fluffy creature gave a few squeaks and threw another one which hit the pup squarely on the forehead. Stop it! He whimpered, crouching for a moment.
It wasn't long before the pup decided that since he couldn't climb trees he would leave the squirrel to it's devices, dashing away as fast as his little paws would take him.
From her low branch the squirrel - graced with the name Salali by her dear mother - chittered with glee and returned to the ground to pick up the two acorns she had thrown at the wolf. She paused once her little collection had been gathered and gave a few chitters, which translated into wolf would mean: Works every time.

~ Walking Alone ~
Morning of day 2||3rd January
The pup had found a decent shelter in the hollow of a tree just before the sun began to rise and was now contentedly lying inside it, glad that his paws were warming up from not being pressed into snow.
He would give a wide yawn, a small whine sound coming from his throat as his eyes clamped shut from the action. Then carefully he would resume to tending to his coat, licking first his front paws before craning back his head to reach the thick fur on each shoulder. White fur might be useful sometimes but to keep it clean in the forest took an effort he would rather not have to induce in.
There were so many strange and wonderful things in the forest, the trees that seemed to converse as he padded by were scary but calming at the same time. The types of birds he had seen sometimes scared him but at other times enthralled him with their delicate songs.
It was when he was recalling this things that he remembered water, he had still found none and using his nose he pulled himself from his shelter and loped across the snow. All the walking he was doing was starting to strengthen his legs and he was soon breaking into an area of the forest where trees grew sparser. There was a faint scent of humans on the ground, but it was terribly old and he knew that any trace of the two-legs were long gone.
From here he continued west until his nose was hit with the delicate scent of water. He gave an excited yip and dove forwards, bursting through the trees and ignoring the throb in his chest from the effort. He noticed everyday how his stamina was improving, all the exercise must be doing him good and so he kept at it.
Yet when the glittering water came into view he had not expected such a large stretch of it. He had seen the river only a few times in his life, mainly keeping to ponds, large puddles or streams when he wanted to drink. Yet such a brilliant sight awed him into a trance, eyes scanning over the dark water.
Gently he moved over to the river's bank and lowered his maw to lap greedily at the surface, watching his reflection dance before his eyes. It was strange how water in different places also tasted a little altered, but this pleased him greatly.
Deciding to stay a while to watch the currents move the water he lay on the bank, his body curled up so that he could stay reasonably warm and watch the water ebb and flow. He decided that the constant moving made it harder to freeze over and that's why he was still able to get at it. For this he was very grateful, since he had not learnt to break the ice as his brother had, and probably wouldn't until he was larger.
With another yawn he rested his pale muzzle on white paws and watched, sometimes the water would stir with life, the scaly things probably swimming around in it and wondered if he would be able to swim.
Some areas did indeed look shallow and he decided once he had rested he would try to wet his paws a little. Maybe the river water would help clean the dirt in his fur that he was unable to reach.

~ Walking Alone ~
Afternoon of day 2||3rd January
The water was icy cold and dipping his paws in tentatively the pup wondered whether this action would be very smart. The currents were strong and he knew if he ventured too far he might be dragged under and drowned.
Shaking his fur he took another step so that the water came up mid-leg and held back a violent shudder. It was refreshing in a way, to be succumbed with such an icyness but deciding that he didn't want to be frozen he splashed about a little, before clambering up onto the snowy bank once more.
He threw back his head and gave another loud howl before dashing in a small circle and heading back to his small shelter. It was good to feel the sun on his back as he dashed back into the forest, enjoying the little warmth that it offered.
Yet inside of him Gizmo felt happier, yes he was alone and that was starting to leave a cold spot inside of him, but he was free. This life was definately great and he wondered whether he should return to Haku or not. It had been nice to be wanted within a pack but at the same time he didn't want to return, he whimpered a little and crept back into the hollow of the tree, curling up and falling into a light sleep.
His dreams were pleasant ones, the snow had melted from the forest, grass and flowers springing up beneath his paws and color sprouting everywhere. Birds sang and lots of animals inhabited the forest. Beside him was his dearest friend, Aeria and she shone with a terrible beauty that seemed to blind him. Barking cheerfully they rolled along the grass and played until the sun was high in the sky. His brother was there too with Lera and together their little pack was happy.
When the pup awoke his mind was set, things with the pack had been great and he needed to return so he could learn things. With a small bark he crept out from the hollow and set off towards home, praying he would be forgiven for his little outburst.

~ Walking Alone ~
Night of day 2||3rd January
The pup could not believe how far he had wandered from his pack, in his grief and pain he had not realised the distance his little legs had covered and now he was starting to feel it.
His legs had begun to ache and he walked with a slight limp, one of his pads worn down so that it was slightly swollen and sore, the scratches in his nose stung and caused small whimpers to escape from his throat and yet he continued.
He had thought the loneliness would not be a problem and yet here he was desperate to return to those he loved and cared about. His brother might need him to help control that temper of his, and Carmen...oh how he respected her for the life she had lived. Then there was Lera, a female who had seen Aeria alive with her own eyes and despite being scary at first proved herself a kind and gentle wolf. Then there was the matter of Aeria, he was more likely to find her if he was with others, many eyes, noses and ears would do better working together than him alone.
With a long, low whine he continued onwards through the snow, eyes closed against the bitter wind and head lowered, ears flattened. His white form became lost against the snow and the pup still strode onwards.
He reached the rock shelter by the time the moon began to dip away and the familiar scents began to return to his nostrils. He never would have thought that he would be so happy to be returning to a pack and yet here he was, with a cheerful heart and soul.
Gizmo had accepted his place...
But there was one thing he knew he had to do, there was an apology stored in his mind for Kamali and even Sable if they were there and would accept it, for in his heart he knew that none of this had been their fault.
The wind faded and died, and with it died his grief, for finally the little pup could forget his past and think ahead to the future, where Haku would welcome him and call him brother.
