Aphismet smiled. "Sounds like a deal to me. Although I have to warn you, I have, erm... special situations. I think I learned some of this when I was younger, but I honestly don't remember a lot of my youth, so I've no idea where my skill level lies exactly. It'd have to be tested. So if you can stand me not really knowing what I can and can't do, then we've got a deal." Aphi extended his hand for a shake.

The teacher seemed a little miffed that two of his "students" weren't paying attention, but what did he care. It was their money to waste if they wanted. He decided to ignore them completely.

"Think nothing of it love." Instead of taking his extended hand, she gave his cheek a quick pinch and a light pat. "You're in Ebony Shade's capable hands now." Turning a cold stare at the instructor for daring to look at them like that, Ebony went to grab her stuff while the instructor turned nervously back to his other students. A soft chuckle escaped her, "That'll teach him. Let us leave this martial disgrace Aphismet." She trounced out the doors without even looking back to see if he was following.

Aphi snickered. "Be right there," he called. He had to fetch his bag out of the locker room. He jogged over, and quickly followed her out. He was wondering how difficult this whole thing would be, but he'd signed up for it now, so he'd have no choice but to see it through.

"So, when will be the first lesson? And did you have a location in mind, or will you be coming over to my yard for these lessons? It's quite big, it might just be trouble in the winter..."

It seemed her dramatic exit was made even more dramatic as she'd disappeared. Course she wasn't going to just up and leave Aphismet. No no, quite the opposite. Materializing out of seemingly nowhere, Ebony snuck up behind the white haired man. Yes, he was a bit taller than her, but she wasn't overly concerned as she'd faced opponents much taller. And he wanted to be tested right? Well...here you were then. Getting right up behind him, she went straight for the back of his knee with her own, hoping he'd go down fairly fast enough so she could place the rear choke hold.

Aphismet has suddenly found himself talking to the evening air, instead of the woman he'd expected to find just outside the doors. She must have left without him. Did she have his contact information? He certainly didn't have hers... how would they-OOF!

A sudden knock to the back of the knees sent Aphismet off-balance. Startling himself, he instantly curved backwards, going with the momentum of the fall, and twisted himself sideways, out of reach of whatever had hit him. He finished in an awkward, unbalanced stance, but he hadn't fallen.

"Whoa, hey!" he protested. "What the hell!" He could understand what she'd intended, but he still felt the need to voice something.

With him going with the fall and turning it into an advantage for himself, Ebony was unable to move forward with her plan of placing a rear choke hold on him. Instead she gave a certain satisfied smirk towards the other while lightly clapping her hands in congratulations. "Falling was only just demonstrated in that class, yet you've shown an advanced move just now when you melted with it and got back to your feet. And in a defensive stance no less. Given, a sloppy one, still..." Not one to pay much respect to others personal space, especially those she'd just met, Ebony got very close to Aphismet, so much so that their noses almost touched. Her voice became low and hushed, the british laced words leaving her lips like a breath. "You're memories may have failed you, but your body still remembers. You're something of a contradiction my friend. A mystery. I'll enjoy very much extracting what secrets lie just beneath the surface."

Aphi took the praise with grace, smiling softly and bowing his head in thanks. A moment later, however, he was suddenly made quite uncomfortable by Ebony's extreme proximity. He glanced around, flustered, and took a step backwards.

Something about the words "extracting secrets" made him very uneasy.

"Um, y-yeah, sure. I suppose you can't forget instinct," he said conversationally, if a little nervously. "S-so, about my questions from before, did you hear them?"

And just like that, as if she hadn't said or done anything to make the man incredibly uncomfortable, Ebony stepped back with a warm, inviting smile. Adjusting the strap of her gym bag on her shoulder, she recited the answers to his question in precise chronological order. "That was the first lesson silly. With that done, I now have a better idea as to where your skill level lies. We can meet at your place if that suits you best, after all you did promise home-cooked meals as payment. Annnnd, in the winter we could possible switch locale and practice at my place as the winter's not as rough in Gambino. If you want."

Aphismet listened carefully, frowning for a moment at the remnants of the discomfort. He crossed his arms and nodded at her words. "Sounds like a good plan. How often will we meet? Once a week? More? And which day, or days? Also, I have to give you my adress; it's very out of the way and most cabs won't know how to find it without specific instructions." He fished around his his backpack for his notepad, and a pen. He began scribbling directions.

"Also, pardon my many questions, but are there any foods you are allergic to, or don't like? I want to make sure I don't accidentally kill you with my payments." He smirked, handing over the scrap of paper he tore out of the notepad.

She smirked back as she wasn't too pressed by his questions as they were all very valid and didn't pertain to her personally. Taking the scrap of paper without looking, Ebony slipped it under her shirt and into her bra of all places. "We can meet as often as you'd like and which ever days are best for you. My only condition is that we be finished before 7 PM. Should I not be able to follow up with a practice I'll be sure to let you know as far in advance as possible." She walked a ways away before turning back to face him with a cocky sort of look to her face, "Please...washboard abs and an iron stomach. It'll take more than a meal concoction gone awry to take me out mate." To strengthen her point, Ebony added a wink and a pat to her mid-section.

Aphismet laughed at her comment about her stomach. "That's good to know, then. Maybe you'll become my new-recipe guinea pig," he added with a chuckle. "I've added the phone number on that note, so that you can reach me if you need to. I'd appreciate lessons on Tuesday and Thursday, if that's alright? I start work at 4pm, so any time before that would be good. You don't have to be afraid of me keeping you til later than 7."

He ran a hand through his hair, planning. "I suppose I should cook lunch instead of dinner, then, and you could come by in the mornings. After our training we can have a nice meal. I'm sure it's better to eat after the intense exercise, instead of just before. Right?" He grinned at her.

"Works for me. I much prefer training early. So then we'll start with a good 3 mile run, and yes, I'd suggest eating light. In fact, I might want to build a whole meal program for you for the next couple weeks..." It was apparent that she was no longer talking to him anymore as her voice trailed off and her gray eyes dimmed in their muted brillance. Ebony was all about order and doing things right, so you can be sure she was mentally writing down how their next encounter would go, precisely down to the last minute. She was moving away from him now, her own lightly uttered thoughts creating a current that was quickly sweeping her away.

Lifting an eyebrow at the woman, wondering if he might have signed up for more than he bargained for, Aph turned towards his own way home. "See you on Tuesday then," he said, although he was quite sure she hadn't heard him.

3 mile run, hunh? Well, Aph doubted he'd have the stamina for that right off the bat... He'd have to start running this very night, building himself up. Keeping this in mind, Aph smirked and started jogging to his car, parked two blocks away.
