My all time favorite is Samus, and in my opinion she is the best. she is even when it comes to long and close range attacks and the only real downside I have found is how long it can take to charge (Which I hate using) and the recovery time. I am not so much a fan of fox as he is simply to fast for me.

Raijiri The best characters I play are Fox, Shiek, and Roy. and for some reason, I always surprise people when i use Roy. Maybe it's because people will always argue that Marth is better. Marth has longer range and has the all annoying sweet-spot that is the tip. In one-on-one competitive battles, Marth is better, as shown in the tier list.

I personally get most aggravated when playing against a pro Falco or Fox... they just seem to have the ultimate moveset... at times it seems almost unfair...
untill i play Pika or Sheik. I love to play them. Speed... its all about speed.
CANT WAIT FOR SONIC!

Ness is my best in melee...in the original game i was best as also Ness.

Those are my faves in order
1. Sheik because of speed, the chain links are just annoying as hell if you get them right, and the needles are AMAZING if you know how to use them well, use them at close range to paralyze them for a split second and run in and grab them ^^, or use them from long rage as they are trying to get back to the stage, or I've even used them to deflect enemy projectiles, they are particularly useful for that
2. Captain Falcon, 2 words, THE KNEE (jump, foward+A), SOOOOO over powered! I can successfully knock them off the stage at 20%.
3. Falco, He may not be the fastest, but his speed is just perfect for combo's, I have the most annoying combo EVER with him, but it involves a spin-attack item, you get their damage to 30%+, jump and catch them in a spin-attack, jump once more, cross your fingers, throw the spin-attack down at them, if you time it right, as they come up, you can use your Air, Down+A on them and meteor smash them down for MAJOR damage, since the spin-attacks should do around 10-15%, that's 2 of those, plus the 20% (I'm pretty sure, haven't played in a while) that the spin-attack item does to them, plus the 10% from the meteor smash!
My best friend uses Marth, and he is VERY good with countering D:, and somehow making bombs bounce off walls and hitting me D:

Dark Lord of Anime Madnes Is everybody really good with Fox? Because my friend is awesome with Fox and I own him with PEACH all the time. peach is one of those characters that any seasoned player would consider a tough match. a lot of her moves have high priority, her down smash renders crouch cancel meta games useless, and with floated aerial attacks, she can attack with virtually no lag compared to all the other characters who have to rely on L-cancelling. that's not even mentioning her incredible horizontal recovery, which is, i believe, only rivaled by jigglypuff. but there is just one downside to peach against fox players, and your friend may not have found this out yet, it is that she's pretty light weight and an up smash from fox at about 70% or so (sometimes even lower) means death for peach. and maybe a reason why you own your friend with peach against his fox is because he doesn't use shine tactics against you.

I just liked Fox because he's one of my favorite Nintendo characters. I'm actually better with Samus though. She's got a long reach (not just in beams, missiles and grappler) which helps for my mid-range style. Many combos...Easily maneuverable...She also allows me to play with my food without knocking them off accidentally. razz

If I base it off of the tier list, it would look like this.
Top: Falco
High: Peach
Middle: Captain Falcon
Low: Link
Bottom: Zelda
I only use three of those Characters often enough to call them mains. If I listed the 5 characters I enjoyed playing the most, my list would look like this.
Zelda (Her aerial kick rivals THE KNEE)
Ness (He's great at juggling)
Captain Falcon (I boycott speedy characters, but even I gave into THE KNEE)
Peach (So many aerial combos. But her down smash is probably her best move)
Marth (He's fun once you learn his sweet spot. I play him when I want to be cheap.)
My hope in Brawl is that Zelda won't be bottom tier anymore. I don't have an answer to Fox when playing her other than transforming. I can play Sheik, but I try to stay Zelda when I can. Its a mindset my friends forced on me when I was winning every game, and it helped me realize how much more fun I have when I do win with Zelda.

woa..i cant believe the lack of appreciation..
Ganondorf is the best..
he may be slow..yes..he is quite slow..but he is unstoppable once you know him...
my favorite move has to be his down A..smashing kicks..timing has got to be perfect..
sad its just a clone of falcon...
oder..well
