Gently Liliana softly chuckled. "I mean it, Edward. She does that to all of us. Relm's happy for you.. for us. Really. Some of them just have an odd way of showing it." But it was time for breakfast & it looked like Trelweny had decided to help Ginny with the cooking today for those easy-make dishes that the human preferred to attempt on her own were in abundance. Apple crisps and sausage & egg casseroles primarily, though it looked like Ginny had added some spinach & egg quiches to the menu (since they actually kept their height).
"Morning! The human called cheerily, while spooning servings of each onto a sectioned dish for her 3 year old son. "Edwad!" Theron called, moving to get out of his chair to get the alchemist even as his mother stopped him. Sitting by his chair his jiviin bond seemed to be laughing.
"We've Orange, Mango, Cranberry, & the green stuff today." Trelweny continued, distracting Theron with his daily tumbler of the last. "What is your favorite juice, Edward? We really should stock it for y..."
Talk about a reroll on the perception check. Trel blinked at the fullmetal kitsu as she lost the word she had been saying, a slow but bright smile growing over her surprise. There were some snickers from the others in the room, seeing again proof positive at how single-minded & oblivious their 'mother' could be. "Oh!! You've grown! Congratulations!"
Her smile slipped, becoming a bit sad as her eyes seemed to lose focus for a brief moment. Then once more her features shifted, this time becoming odd & difficult to read & her smile seemed to falter a bit though it remained.

"Yeah I know... but that doesn't mean its not annoying!" Although Edward grinned, but with a roll of his eyes.
When he hobbled into the kitchen, Ed looked up at Theron's greeting. "Hey, little man!" he called up to him, trying to be as cheerful as he could with inadequate limbs. Somehow, he managed to hop up onto a chair, looking to Trelweny with one of his usual bright smiles. "Orange juice is fine!"
"Yeah, I've finally grown! Its about time!" However, as Trelweny's mood suddenly seemed to take a nose dive, his ears tilted back. "Something wrong?" he asked, although he had a good idea what it might be.

A moment of returning to the moment and the human woman was smiling again, although there was a trace of ruefulness to it. "Oh, nothing new really." Just the usual loneliness that set in, that happy-sadness when her family found loves. Loneliness that a household of 'family' could not fill though they eased it greatly.
That and... "Well, except that means..." Striding purposefully into the room the GaiaCom headed to the fridge. Opening it she put her finger on a special button which made a whirring sound then opened a special section of the fridge. Bottles of alcohol chilled within. Grabbing the kahlua, Irish cream & vodka Myranda poured them in equal parts into a glass which she handed to Trelweny. The widow sighed taking it and smiled lopsidedly. "Drinking before noon." Taking a sip Trelweny set the glass beside her plate... just as the GaiaCom took said plate away. "Myr! I'm hungry!"
"Good. It'll hit faster." The android witch said coldly, frowning as her human pouted. "We've been over this before. It's only necessary because you still fight it." Trel looked like a child being chastised, large tears forming in her eyes. "I still don't want to feel..." Mechanical receptors had no problem picking up the faint words. Myranda scoffed. "Not my problem. Except he wouldn't want you to be like this." Aquamarine eyes bore into the woman who looked away and drank her mudslide through quiet tears. Shaking her head Myranda got an orange juice for Edward and mango juice for Liliana & set it down for them as the winged kitsu female set down their plates. "Anyway... I'm not here to talk about Trelweny feeling. But about you." The GaiaCom's gaze leveled on the fullmetal. "Do you want to?"
Liliana gave a gasp, eyes wide. Would they try it? Gold tipped ears flicked. Did she want them to? Without Winry's much better skill with automail, dare they?

Edward looked unhappy... his forepaws on the table and his brows furrowed in a rather displeased expression. He was silent, merely listening in on Trelweny and the GaiaCom. He didn't like to see Trelweny in such a state, especially if he was the cause... inadvertantly or not.
His grumpiness was interested by the question directed at him, his orange juice having gone ignored for now. He blinked up at the GaiaCom, "Do I want to what?" he asked, confused as to what she was asking.
Lilianna's gasp was heard and Edward glanced in her direction, wondering what this was about.

Hemi, popping his head in gave a happy woot! and trotting over on glad paws gleefully hugged Edward & his older sister joyfully. "Hey!! You're all bigger now, bro!!" Baby blue eyes twinkled, then flickered as the chocolate furred male picked up on the emotions of the place. Looking between everyone -and able to feel the emotions starting to leek from Trelweny perhaps better than most- he was able to piece together the likely cause of Ed's unhappiness. Grinning kindly Hemi nudged his 'brother by proxy'. "Hey... It's okay. She gets like that a lot. Not much we can do about it. Nothing you did either."
"Yeah. She wasn't always like this." A new voice said as a green cait padded casually into the kitchen, a small red fox jumping form his back to scamper happily towards the food & commencing in eating far more than anyone would think a creature of his size could manage. The Green cait smiled, eyes bright in the 'mask' of his patterns. "I remember her before Timex died. Guy was great. Can see why she's torn between waiting a lifetime to see him again or doing what he wanted and finding herself a new mate & father for the lil' guy."
"You don't have to talk about me like I'm not here, Locke!" "Then be here, Trel." The cait said steadily, but with a playful wink & grin to soften the blow.
The gaiacom gave a roll of her eyes then answered the question asked as if ignoring everything else in between. Which she clearly was doing as she could not miss it, thanks to her programming. "To feel of course. I've not let that Al Bhed study my mechanics for no reason. Although, I will understand if you would rather wait until your mechanic from before is available. If she ever is here. The Al Bhed can only fashion new automail for you because she has the original & the instructions. She is not as specialized as the one who made your automail or my own creators." Emotionessly, Myranda watched the newly grown alchemist as if analyzing him. She probably was, given the nature of the creation she was.
Grinning Hemi winked at Liliana. "So Sis... should I be taking bets on how soon after Ed gets over getting his automail adjusted you'll be carrying more nieces & nephews for me?" Face burning all the way to her ears in an instant, Lily squeaked and swung at her baby brother in horrified shock. How could he say that?!?

Edward blinked and squirmed a bit as Hemi came over and suddenly hugged him. "That's right! ... heh." x_x An ear perked to the others as they spoke of Trelweny. Their words didn't make him feel much better, but he tried to push it aside. The alchemist taking the orange juice and drinking it. Mmm... sweet. Oranges were a rare delicacy back in his previous life.
Edward's eyes widened at the proposal to make it possible for him to feel with his automail. He frowned, ears tilting back as he gave it though. Eventually he just shook his head. "I'd rather wait for Winry... besides, she'd kill me if I let anyone mess with her automail too much!" ... Although he figured she'd probably be upset over it as it was, already. She could be really scary when she got angry.. throwing wrenches at him and the like.
Hemi's next comment took him completely by surprise. "WHAT?!" he shrieked, his entire face turning the color of a beet.

Nodding at the answer she received, Myranda left the kitchen seemingly -and quite likely- immune to the other goings-on as went to inform the mechanics of Edward's decision. This was even as Hemi flapped his wings to pull out of reach -just barely- of his petite sister's blow. He was giggling, laughing, baby blue eyes bright. "Aw, c'mon guys! One'd have to be a rock not to see one way or another how 'close' you guys are. No brainer to know you've been waiting for this."
Her heart beating fast, Liliana hid her face by focusing on her food. No fair! She was getting hot just thinking about it... no way could she catch Edward's gold eyes right now. Liliana had to calm down, and quick. Hemi was right but... "You didn't have to say it like that." "Aw... c'mon. I said it nice." the sounds of many hungry Weasleys could be heard and the kitsu male glanced over his shoulder. "You'll be ribbed enough by them... be glad Unca Aear's out with the Hiril." With a wink Hemi flew to grab himself from food before he lost his chance. Half hidden in the corner, Ginny chuckled softly.

The impending doom of the Weasley's made Edward cringe. Thus, Edward turned around and waited for them to come through the door. When they did, he pointed his paw at them accusingly. "Say one word and I'll beat you to a pulp!" ... Yes, as if that was a adquate threat considering he could barely walk... but still!
His ears were already burning with embarassment from Hemi's comments.. even if it was true. A glare sent in Hemi's direction as if this was all his fault. DX

The mass of red-headed boys all laughed uproariously at that, after a quick blink of surprise. even the anthro Ginny was trying to hide her laughter as she made her way past her brothers to join her kitsu counterpart off in the corner to speak in hushed words interspersed with giggles. Of course Ed's 'warning' did not deter any of the twins, who gleefully ribbed him on the better aspects of romance throughout the meal with occasional jabs tossed at the anthro-fox Ron that he should take pointers from the fullmetal or at Hemi about when he might be getting a girl. The last of which was snuffed by the little fox Shippou who coming to the snuggly kitsu's defense laid bare that the talaye twins having been around longer than Remus had no place getting on Hemi for not having a mate yet. This shut the tala up and turned the anthros on them for a while.
Into her second drink Trel smiled unfocused in Ed's direction as she let Theron down from his chair and cleaned him up. *They're being nicer about teasing than normal, Edward*
Just then others started filling the room, the room itself expanding seamlessly to accommodate them. There were a few nods, winks and other teasing -especially by the anthro and FTC Seifers though they got elbows and blushed from their Runes for their effort- but nothing to match that of two pairs of Weasley twins.

Of course.. with the ribbing, Edward responded in the way Edward always did. Flailing, yelling and empty threats. Even the occasional harmless item was tossed in the direction of the Weasley boys as he threw a fit. But really.. deep down he enjoyed it, for it meant he had friends and was actually part of a family.. and that was a good feeling.
A look was pased in Trel's direction as he caught he words. His reply being a mischevious grin. But then something struck him. Edward looked to his mate adn blinked, "Hey... has anyone seen Alphonse?" Sudden concern for his younger brother who was still not use to this world, surfaced in the young Alchemist.

Alphonse was outside. Having arrived at the new house, he stayed outside for the time being, not wanting to intrude into somebody else's house without being invited.
So, he had decided to spend time practising. Though for once he wasn't attempting to hone and perfect his alchemic skills. This time he was flapping - having a pair of wings was alarming to him at first when he arrived, but now that he was kind of getting used to the idea, another thought came with it - elation. Humans had only dreamed of flying and so they had invented airships, hot air balloons, and airplanes. But nothing compared to having your own set of wings.
The young-adult Kitsusagi flared his gold-flecked feathery wings out, flapping them slowly, pondering just how easy it would be to take off. When he learned the skill, he was sure he'd have great fun with it. A small thought of unhappiness came for his brother next - flying with automail would be only weigh him down.
"Maybe I can carry you, brother..." He said aloud to himself, "We'll find a way to make you fly..."
He gave a sudden downward thrust of his wings, carelessly launching himself into the air. He was totally unused to this new sensation and had no knowledge in how to control himself once in the air - as soon as he was launched into the sky, he came crashing down again, head first, right into the heart of a nearby leafy bush, hind legs and furry tails sticking out the top of it.
"Owww..." He groaned. "Okay, perhaps I need lessons..."

Of course Edward's responses only saw that the Twins continued, dodging or deflecting most of the thrown items; those they dodged usually being 'caught' by a wave of one of the Ginny's wands and a few times by a quickly drunkening Trelweny as the human's mental inhibitions came tumbling down. Aiden had entered and left with Theron & the Jiviin at some point.
"Alphonse?" Trelweny echoed, her eyes glazing slightly. Lily looked worried, but more because her new 'brother' was unaccounted for than because of the human's expression. She did that sometimes normally.
Outside there was a wail as if someone had been struck with intense grief. An invisible force lashed at the upside-down alchemist, threatening to lift and hurl him forcibly from the bush. Then a second, equally invisible but much more controlled and considerably more gentle. It seemed to calm the other, lifting the kitsu out and setting him right-side up upon the ground. A white cait cit touched with pink dashed for the bush, crying heavily. Her pink tipped paws touched each damaged leaf, each broken branch as she crooned brokenly to it. The first unseen force was gone now... but the bush that had cushioned the alchemist's fall seemed to be doing better, returning to the state it had been before the crash.
Small, bright black eyes gazed intently at the kitsu. There was a laughter behind them, now that the disaster & the intensity of his ward's emotions had been averted. "You know... if you'd like flying lessons all you have to do is ask Lily. She'll do anything for you." The small white rabbit did not bother to go into details about why. Not unless he had to right now. "Though Aear would be better, as he has experience training the kits to fly."
He flicked a long ear, eyes looking thoughtful as if he heard something the kitsu could not. "Why do you stay outside? Edward brought you here & you're more than welcome to. With or without your brother. Who is, by the way, wondering where you are." A mischievous & knowing grin broke across the rabbit's small face. "Of course I'll be tempted to share that mental image of you upside down in the bush with him...."
In the kitchen Trelweny smiled in a dream-like sort of way. AQ change after the pained look and way she had clasped her head moments ago. The Runes also looked like they had headaches at that time, and a few of the others had rubbed their heads, though now all seemed fine if a little worried and curious. Locke had dashed to the door, an anxious expression in his gold eyes. "Alphonse is outside, with Peter. Shall I ask that he be directed inside?"

Ears erked at Trelweny, then at Lilianna as he noticed her worried expression. "Don't worry.. I'm sure he's fine. His brother was sometimes a bit shy and too polite for his own good. He figured he probably went elsewhere to stay out of everyone's way. Which of course was silly.. since he'd brought him here to meet everyone.
Locke's words directed Edward's attention his way, and he blinked before nodding, "Yeah sure." What was Alphonse doing outside he wondered? Oh well... his brother would likely be hungry, and he still needed to meet Lilianna properly like he said he wanted. However, the expressions of some of those around the table just moments ago, had him wondering what had happened... but he didn't ask.

Alphonse gave an alarmed cry as an unseen force lashed at him, and he tensed his body and wings as if bracing for impact. Almost as quickly however, he felt himself being lifed out of the bush, set right way on the ground again. He promptly flattened himself against the ground, his chin on the grass, pressing his belly to the ground. Just WHAT had that been??
"Sorry..." He whimpered as he heard the voice, turning his attention to the small white rabbit. "I just..." He became silent again, frowning. "You're going to tell my brother about this?" He raised his head again, eyeing the bush warily. Just what had been so special about it, and... what had lifted him out of it? He had seen nothing. Then again, he was too alarmed at the time to be paying too much attention to it.
"I don't know why I'm out here." He shrugged finally. "It's just easier to practise outside, I guess." He pinned his ears back. "Flying lessons would be good, but I don't want to be a hassle. I'm alright with self-teaching myself, too."
He cautiously eyed the door of the house, before finally heading for it. He couldn't help but feel a bit wary and timid as he pushed a paw forwards to open the door, finally moving inside.
It was then his stomach began to growl, reacting to the delicious smell of food somewhere nearby.
"S-sorry for intruding!!" He said suddenly, formally bowing his head as he stood in the doorway for a moment, before finally heading inside, following the sound of his brother's voice.

Liliana touched her nose to Ed's jaw. "He's your brother. I can't help but worry." she responded with a soft smile. Then Trelweny's light soprano voice chuckled. "Your brother sent our Maree into quite a fit. Accidentally, of course. We reacted to the mental cry that those sensitive could not block the volume of and those accustomed to such things picked up on. It's not a common occurrence. But she's better now."
The rabbit chuckled, thoughts following the kitsu as he left. His ward no longer was upset, as she had saved the plant. "Only because it looked funny." Peter teased with a friendly grin. "And don't worry about the bush... Amaryllis knows you did not hurt the plant on purpose." the tired kit nodded having moved on to check on other plants in the vicinity not seeming to pay attention to them but obviously doing so. Then suddenly she paused, blue within blue eyes studying the kitsu with an unfaltering gaze for one so young. "You would be no hassle, brother of Edward, and they would see you did not again hurt the garden." The cit gave a small bow, front paws together before turning to the gardens once more.
Watching Alphonse move towards the house, the cits rabbit familiar wondered if he should warn him of the many things he was likely to encounter inside. Feeling a strong thought he usually only touched Peter nodded, returning to his charge. With Amaryllis' schedule, they had eaten long before the others. Not that many in this family slept much past 9 am.
Inside two large ginger cats jumped from where they were in the room at the sudden voice and darted east down the hallway across the room from the front door. A gray creature curled by the window opened one red eye, looked, then closed it again pulling her white tipped gray tail over her face shyly. A young boy threw out his arms laughing at the running kitties then turned to grin at the one who had chased them. His smile turned oddly thoughtful for one so young, his small face going through many expressions as if searching for the correct one. An audio male with a blue tartan pattern and small fae wings chuckled softly watching the human child and the cream & sienna jiviin drada circling playfully around them. Then the child spoke. "Du no Edwad. Dada du ike Edwad." Then he nodded decisively as if coming to a very important decision. The audio chuckled. "Ye dinnae be intruding, Laddie. Welcome te our home. They be in th' kitchen, yer brother an' Liliana. Others as well. Bu' there be plenty, so dinnae fret a thing, aye?" With a gentlemanly bow and wave of his arm Aiden indicated the door to the left of the hallway, also on the east end of the room. "Dinnae be alarmed o' anything ye see. Laddie There's many magics an' sciences combined in this place."
