((Please, no one liners! Please please. They give me so little to work with as well as to build off of for future referance... sorry. Two liners I can handle. ^^ ))

Messa shrugged. She was no historian. "I'm not sure, it looks like it though...." She responded thoughtfully while pulling out a note-pad. Time to take notes, but on what?


Thoth watched with gleeful amusment before becoming serious. The machine wasn't working, which was fine since he had other plans, but the humans seemed to lack the ability to get out of their currant situation. Sighing he walked a little closer before turning into the form of an bird. Sorring above he watched a little while longer, making sure hungry Jackels were not by, then flew off. They would be fine until his return. For the moment, he had some need of assistance.

Messa sighed nodding her head. “The best thing to do would be to let them rest and allow the body to heal them.” She said coming over to check several of the people’s pulses. Everyone seemed fine… The only one that took serious damage was the person by the door. He would, unfortunately never rise again. “We better move them first before we continue, or else we’ll have to deal with dehydration.”

Messa shrugged. Then straightened up suddenly. “Do you hear that?” She asked, almost in a whisper. It was the sound of neighing. It was the sound of horses. Then rattling, the sound of some form of wheels… “Quick, we need to-“ But her sentence was cut off suddenly by the appearance of twelve chariots. None of the riders looked very friendly in their Egyptian gold or their silken cloths that practically screamed of wealth beyond the kind in the modern day world. Messa waited for them to speak, but obviously it was them that were to speak first yet she didn’t even try to say a word. All the wind was simultaneously knocked out of her causing her to think about breathing. She’d let someone else handle this one.

Thoth watched in amusement as the stranger from the future spoke to the guards. The stupidity of mortals always amazed him. But what happened next amazed him even more…

“What reasons have we to offer you hospitality?” Asked the Commander. He frowned at the strange metal device protruding from the sand. Issuing an order the Commander forbid the foot solders from touching it until the Pharaoh or himself said otherwise.
Messa coughed, and then stepped forward to take a very graceful bow. “We are knowledge seekers, those who travel the world in search for… knowledge,” Messa said hesitantly. It would probably be best to stay as close to the truth as possible, especially with their comrades in more danger then themselves.

The Commander turned a sharp stare at the women in odd clothing. Raising a brow he stepped down from his Chariot to look the stragglers over. They were tired, worn out… they had odd things about them, like those of travelers… Somehow he doubted though that that was all they were. “How am I to believe you are not spies?” He asked, turning his regal head to the one who had spoken first. The second one seemed more likely to lie then the other foreigner.

uh oh...natives.
I ran routine bio scans on the newcomers, examining everything from their biometrics to their clothing.
Cnfirmed: time period and location, Ancient Egypt.
which limits my resources...I guess I've got what i've got.
I was glad to hear that the natives wouldn't touch the parts of my shell. I didn't need more variables right now.

reasessing the parts I had at my disposal, I noticed a line I had ignored before.
it was a physical wire, fiber optic. anything with wires was considered a tertiary system. cables were so outdated they were rarely used. but this one may come in handy. it was damaged, running a current over it for too long would probably make it snap. so I had one shot at communication. I would wait, though. I'd wait until I had enough information to be helpful.

((lol lucky me i got to stay home from school. I call him forge.))

"What kind of spy would come asking for knowledge, dressed how we are and claiming to be from another county? A true spy would slip in as though he had been there all along." Mordred had to think fast. He didn't think what he said would work. But he had to get the others to a safe place. "Besides, whether we are spies or not, would it not be best to take us in for questioning? My fellow travellers are injured and in need of a place to stay." The Egyptians seemed convinced enough by this logic. One of them nodded to another. He said "Load the injured onto the chariots." Then he turned to the only two who were concious. "Do not try to run away. We will come back to investigate this strange debris later." Mordred nodded, smiling.
"We will not try to run away. Just give us a few moments to gather our belongings." He walked over to the machine. Noticing a communication wire.
Maybe I can feed this into my cell phone...
Mordred fed the cord into his cell phone, hoping it would create a link to communicate with the AI. Maybe they could even keep a wireless link. Only time would tell.

Messa hissed at Mordred. "Later!" She said, hoping the Egyptian's wouldn't see his "unique" device. The Commander turned, just as he was about to leave. "But, perhaps just for reasurrance that you will not go anywhere, one of you would like to volunteer to go with us?" He asked while Messa composed a nutrual face.
"This is not good! This is not good!" She thought over and over before looking at the ground, then Mordred, then at the ground again. "Umm.. One of as that is, still, you mean..." Messa gestured to the few bodies still unconcious. Hopefully he ment one of them.
"No," The Commander replied, a slight smile touching his face. "One of you."

Messa sighed, muttering something about should'ave-taken-karate-lessons-when-younger. Picking up her bags she shrugged them casually, yet very carefully, on to her shoulders. Seeing the guards edge away nerviously Mess made sure not to make a wrong step. "Where to then?" She asked hesitantly, testing out this speaking thing... she still wasn't sure she got down the part were they could actually UNDERSTAND her.
