"Lookout point?"
He smiled, pondering what the foal could mean by a lookout point.
"Sounds interesting."
He said honestly as he nudged the foal. Picking his hooves up, he looked again at the foal.
"So, which way?"
He looked all around him, keeping his head high and looking to see if he saw anything that could LOOK like a lookout point? Now, he was intrigued. Maybe the foal was just playing around, but whatever it was.. It sounded worth it to take a look.
"Sure thing. Lookout point it is."

OHBOY! Aureate laughed aloud as he nosed Micah's side and then pranced off, scooting up a dirt path and trotting along with his head held high and bristle-tail swishing. "You'll love it!" He called back as he went on. "Its my favorite place! Best view! I come here all the time! No one knows about it but me, can you keep a secret? I bet you can since you're a grown up. Will you keep it a secret?" He turned and considered the stallion. "Please?"

Micah couldnt help but smile again at the little colt. He was so talkative, and lively, and when he asked Micah to keep his place a secret.. He could sense the severity of the issue in the little colt.
Keeping this place secret was a key point in the foals life. He might not have anything else to his name. But that was fine. Because Micah had always been the honest type. Of course he'd keep the little guys lookout a secret.
"Okay Skywalker, you talked me into it. I shall keep it a secret until the very day that I die."
He winked at him, flicking his own tail made of braids.

Aureate grinned so wide it lit up his whole face, eyes dancing behind his white mask and long forelock. He nodded stoutly, wings fluttering as he piroutted away, trotting briskly up the path. "GOOD! Because if you tell, its bad luck..." He offered with a childish laugh. "And that's not good at all!"

"Bad luck! Well, I honestly can say Im not a fan of bad luck. But I try not to get myself into situations where I can possibly GET bad luck." The stallion joked, watching the little colt fluff his wings and start up the path, Micah following close behind.
"So why is the Lookout point a secret anyway, Skywalker? Is it magical?"
He knew it wasnt, but maybe it held something special for Aureate.

Aureate paused, one foreleg in midair, obviously chewing the idea over. He tilted his head, then glanced over his shoulder at the elder male. "Erm... Are places magical? I've never really heard of a place being magical.. I believe other beings can make a place magical for you, but a place usually isn't magical... Or maybe it is.. I don't think the lookout is magical, but it makes me feel good... Does that count?"

Micah took an expression as if he was surprised. "Why Skywalker! Surely you know what magic IS! Magic is when something makes you feel good. Its your view of hope. Magic, is very much everywhere.. and if this place makes you feel good.."
He went to the foals level and blew a puff of wind at the foals mane, fluffing it.
"Then it means it is very much magical."

Aureate giggled and huffed back at the elder male, grinning. He'd never heard of it explained that way... But now that Micah said all that... It made sense... "I do know what magic is.. But I never thought of it that way... Ok, so it is magic.. But I'll show you, because you seem like you wouldn't tell everyone... And part of magic is the fact that its a secret... I mean, why else do adults not believe it anymore?" He flicked an ear back. "Well.. Most adults don't..." He amended the statement with a solemn nod.

Micah couldnt help but grin at the little guys comment about Magic. That was a good question. If adults didnt really believe in it, did that mean that magic only had to be believed in to be real?
He shrugged. He only found magic in the eyes of foals and his mare. Galitaya had put the light in his eyes, and now he seemed to be happier in his life. Actually going out of his way to help little foals, and to indulge their fancies.
Foals needed good role models. Maybe he was contributing to a good citizen.
"Ah, I can keep a secret. Now do show me the hideout before I go crazy with anticipation."

Aureate giggled and spun around with a playful rear, galloping up a winding path that led deep into the trees. He pranced around the tall trunks, flapping his wings and humming softly, ducking through a large hedge to his lookout point. A small plateau like stretch of grass atop a little cliff, it overlooked a field that Soquili often wandered about it, and Aureate came up here whenever he wanted to watch them. He tossed a look over his shoulder. "Comming Micah?"

Micah watched the little colt as he raced among the ground, toward his oh so special hideout. His little tail shaking terribly, and his tongue nearly out of the side of his mouth in concentration.
"Of course I am." He said, only needing to take steps to catch up with Aureate.
"Are we close?" He asked, perking his head up and looking among the land. "I dont see a hideout." Kidding as he was, he looked overly dramatic.

Aureate giggled, glad to have someone engaged in his special place, on so fine an adventure as this. A short row of brush lined the edge of his little lookout point, and with a giggle, he leapt into it. The inside had been slightly hollowed out, and his tiny body fit in perfectly, enabling him to peek out through the brush, while the majority of his body was hidden. "Here it is." He giggled. "No one down there ever really looks up here anyway, but if they did..." He tucked his head into the brush as fast as he could. "They wouldn't see anything anyway!"

Micah smiled and nodded at his hiding spot. No way the stallion would fit in there without ruining the little area. So he walked to the side of the bush, and looked the other direction.
"Look, now I can hide just like you, cause I can hide to one side." He said, looking down at the foal and smiling.
"This is a very cool place."

Popping out of his little hideaway, Aureate pranced about, feathers fanned out with pride. This was the first chance he had to show someone his lookout, and Micah had liked it! "Thanks." He grinned. "So... Do.. Do you have a special place?" He tilted his head in question. Was that just a foal thing?

A Special place? How on earth do you do you tell a foal that your special place is at your mates side in a nice little cove? You cant. Thats all there is to it. But Micah had to think of something right?
"I have many.. But it's only when Im alone and calm that I consider anyplace my special place."
He said, giving a nod, happy with the answer he had pulled from his brain.
